>find out my new 40" LED HDTV has 0-255 and gamma options along with 120hrz native and a plethora of other setting options
is 0-255 a norm now in HDTV's or did i just hit the fucking jackpot?
spent the last 7 years always battling with vidya games crushing blacks and having to boost the "brightness" which just washes out the picture (theres very few games with a legit gamma slider as well)
it usually comes disabled since a bunch of tv content don't use it, that doesn't mean it wouldn't look better with it enabled though, you should enable it.
>>56676086
I think 0-255 has been the norm for a while my 2008 Samsung had that option under hdmi black levels: tv or pc, same thing with the gamma options. The 120hz native is new though.
>>56676086
> is 0-255 a norm now in HDTV
Yes, but you need to dig really deep to find it.
In my LG TV it activates if I change "HDMI Label" to "PC".
where were you when you realized you could run linux programs including graphical ones in windows 10, and therefore no longer needed to use fedoraOS?
>>56676071
Oh look it's one of these threads
>>56676071
Using virtualization since years before Windows 10 became a thing

HIROYUKI FIX YOUR FUCKING HTTPS.
THIS SHIT IS LIKE 4X FUCKING SLOWER THAN HTTP. WHAT THE FUCK.
FIX THIS FUCKING SHIT HIROYUKIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
works on my machine :^)
>>56676022
No it doesn't.
Load a large image over HTTPS, then load a different large image (to avoid caching) over HTTP, both on 4chan.
There's a big speed difference.
It's not just my machine because it happens on any machine I use.
>>56676016
his name is hiroshima, dumbass
Is it worth getting /g/?
For what purpose? For learning it's pretty outdated. Collecting, if you can find it cheap, then sure.
>>56675969
Sensible people get this book instead.
>>56676630
you can get it cheap even on amazon these days.

Apple never say "the" when discussing an iPhone. For example Ive always says things along the line of "iPhone 7 is the sleekest device we've ever made."
7/10 for effort
>games are why computers are so powerful today
Is there any merit to this claim?
name one person who ever said that
>>56675823
You cant prove that something "isn't"
Burden of proof lies on the person who claims this theory
>youtubers video editing are why computers are so powerful today
Is there any merit to this claim?
Who here Pi? Just set up my 3 and starting on my zero tomorrow.
Just set up mopidy with Spotify so I can use the pi for music streaming with my stereo, gonna see about adding a nice looking album art display to go on a TV or something
Microcenter has zeros for 99¢ so I had to grab one. Not sure what to do with it yet.
>>56675778
What are you plans for using them, anon? I was thinking about using my second one for Pi Hole.
