By wearing a fitness tracker, you have become a slave to fitness.
Any good online colleges?
WGU is apparently out off the question.

Real classrooms give me panic attacks.

I use PIA because it doesn't log and has it's own servers (instead of Pure VPN for instance which uses Amazon virtual servers for some it's locations)

Closed source software sucks and this proves it.

You're a moron if you use anything else. Also Microsoft developers are really bad.

Microsoft are pretty hardcore about backwards compatibility and not breaking old functionality.
The Excel file format is also extremely messy and complicated for performance reasons on older computers, and a lot of it has remained to this day, but it works great and is very stable and fast even when it contains millions of rows.
Messy system calls are only a nightmare for the developer, not the end user...

If the mods weren't such faggots I'd report this.
Quick question /g/. I happen to be one of the idiots who didn't upgrade from windows 8.1 to 10 while it was still free. But it turns out you can upgrade for free as part of an assistive technologies promo or something. It's downloading right now, but I'm still iffy about wether or not they'll charge me later for it, there's also privacy concerns. Should I finish the upgrade?
>charge me later
won't happen
>privacy concerns
you're already using windows, you don't care about your privacy

/thread
They can't charge you for something after you get it for free.
Hi /g/ just wanted to make a thread for those of you who want to be an employed programmer. Personally i dont have too much experience but im looking to obviously build that, and im sure you do too. So here is a list of what i think are neccessities to have as a programmer to be hired in general.
Basic Skills:
Html, css, javascript (your typical webdeveloper)
Java, C++, C, Python, Php
Extra languages (they dont hurt)
Ruby, Assembly, Objective C, etc
Enhancements:
LinkdIn, A targetted resume to what you want to apply to, a god damn presentable attire for interviews, side projects (apps, programs you have made), transcript (im not sure about this)
Prepare for interview questions, and programming quizes (ie. scenario given, make a program to adapt to that, efficiency to the code)
Extras:
volunteering, past jobs to display your ability to perform in a job, transferrable skills
I know this is not a perfect guideline, however you can help comment on this, and it will improve. You can get the job you want, just put the damn effort into it. Im sure you heard it a thousand times, but practice, seriously review that shit.
>>56682538
One thing i forgot to add, Build your network, seriously, your friends and people you know just might be able to hook you up with something
30 y.o. college dropout NEET here, I've taken lots of terrible decisions in my life, plus I had a life threatening illness.
I "know" some langs, but since I don't practice regularly, I forget things. how do you compare your knowledge against other people? how do you know how much you know, compared to college
is linkeding really required? if so, why? I'm ashamed of my life/CV, so I wouldn't make it public, at all.

Everyone here ever switched IDE's after working with another one for a long time?
It's really making me depressed desu. It's like you've spent so much time getting better at working with a certain IDE and then suddenly all your tools get taken from you and it feels like it was all for nothing.
I want to cry.
I'm working with like 4 different IDEs concurrently so this is never a problem.
>>56682223
>not being proficient in multiple IDEs
You better step it up, senpai. Nobody is going to hire you with that attitude.
>>56682223
Dont blame the tools, dog
