Is there any way to make the Volume Mixer not completely suck ass? AFAIK Windows 7, 8, and 10 all have this issue. Should I just switch to chrome?
Blast it with piss bro

thanks senpai

>Battle.net
Yeah switch to chrome. You're one of those types of people who will definitely end up with it anyways. Why fight it?

How will Apple ever recover?
>>56675346
What is trump? Why it deserves to be sticked to the laptop?
Last year I see it everywhere.
Is that some movement?
>>56675405
It's a meme
>>56675346
The devil wears Prada and uses Apple, yo.
How long till they remove the lighting port and we only have wireless charging?
>>56675231
That's good though
Wireless everything is better
Probably like 4 seconds
>>56675231
This is so badly shooped. The original is way funnier.
After getting fed up with Google's shenanigans I finally decided to switch my default search engine on laptop and phone to DuckDuckGo and now I don't get personalized results when I search for local ice cream shops. Is privacy really all its cracked up to be? I feel like I'm missing out big time here, will switching back just set off the alarms at the NSA that my emails can be read freely again?
>>56675191
>not using YaCy
That's what you get for using a netbot, retard.
>ITT
>ddg shilling
I stopped using DuckDuckGo because it would never give me any decent results for my searches. I just use Google now. I don't see the point in sweating it over searching stuff over the Internet.
Is he right?
>>56675127
Yes, but sites ridiculous rules cannot allow you the second one. Use it for keys and stuff.
It is not more secure.
The assumption here is that you brute force try every letter combination to find a match.
What you should do is make a system for yourself that you don't think would be made into a solvable process.
Random characters weakness is the length of the passwords.
Random passphrases weakness is if you only use words that will be in a dictionary.
Here the length of the password is the number of words you used.
With this strategy, the first would be more secure.
But it is easier to remember.
Just use the fucking use the sha256 of the site's name concatenated with a master password.
Is the Dell XPS 15 the best ultrabook on the market atm?

Without a doubt.

Been thinking about getting one myself. Dat bezel-less screen...
yeah
but get a P50 anyway if you need a workstation
Anyone have a PC or laptop that refuses to leave your desk, that is YEARS old, and just won't quit no matter what you put it through? It's the one you always turn to when you need to get something done and has rarely failed you.
Mine is a 2009 model Acer Aspire 5532 with a 160gb HD, 3gb ram, an AMD Athlon 64 processor and Windows 7. It's screen is busted so I have it hooked up to my TV. I regularly dust it out and defrag it's HD and registry. I got this one after my mother upgraded to a better laptop and after 3 previous Dells I had failed all in the same year (all under warranty).
<not my pic btw
>2009
Try 2005. Thinkpad X60. Thing heats up like a madman.
>>56675075
Well I use to use a 2005 custom built PC that my X-bro-in-law built. 80GB hd, 2 GB RAM, and Windows XP. I stopped using it after XP stopped being supported and it was too bulky to set up anywhere after I moved to a smaller house.
I have a 2007 MacBook.
I had to move it to Linux as the newer versions of OSX won't run on it (Windows 10 will though: go figure).
Thing just won't quit. It utterly refuses to die...
I don't even like Macs, I got it as a freebie from work, but I must admit I admire the resilience of it.
>there are people on this board RIGHT NOW who don't use the C programming language to write all their applications
What's your excuse?
I'm not 45.

>not assembly

I fucking hate neet hobbyist programmers.
Will judges assume you are hiding something illegal simply because you have clutter cleaning programs like Bleachbit or Ccleaner? Or, just wiping free space? Could deleting, scrubbing, wiping, etc. be deemed as a wrong doing in the future and a sing of guilt?
They can assume whatever they want. The matter is whether they can prove it.
Jonathan Zdziarski, a computer security expert, characterized BleachBit as a fairly "amateur" tool that doesn't raise any red flags.
"It looks like the type of tool someone would run who's conscious of cleaning old crud off their system," Zdziarski said. "Someone trying to cover their tracks would likely pay for and use a much more expensive, specialized data destruction tool."

What is a trustworthy iso for Windows 10?
All the ones I find are done by some suspicious Russian cracker group that probably filled it to the brim with their own spyware.

im not paying for it, Pajeet
>>56675066
You don't have to. Use any cracked-or-not Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 installation.

Hey guy's so I have a macbook pro i5 8gb ram 128gb sad. I want to run windows on a virtual machine but want to host the virtual machine on a flash drive since I have shitty amount of storage. Any recommendations as to what virtual machine I need to run etc?
install gentoo
>>56675029
You can do that with virtual Box without any problems. Just but the virtual disk where ever you want, you can even take the USB stick with you and use your VM on any other PC.
VMware player probably can do that to.
>>56675173
For some reason I was reading that you had to download portable virtual box and some other tedious stuff.. Ok I shall try. You recommend virtual box or vmware?
Just bought this case off of newegg for a solid
>$59.79 USD

>99% of /g/ only has a GPU and maybe a wifi card in their PCIe slots
>people are still buying over sized ATX and mATX cases and motherboards instead of ITX
The Silverstone SG13 and cases like it are only ~$40 and can fit a full sized graphics card, CPU with a 120mm water cooler (like the corsair h55), either 3 2.5" drives or a 2.5" and a 3.5" drive (so 4 SSDs in total if you include an m.2 slot on the motherboard), etc etc. A lot of ITX cases even have bays for a slim optical drive.
What's the oldest document you made that you still have?
Pic related, my homework from over 16 years ago that's somehow survived.

I have Q-Basic programs I wrote when I was a kid
I have a couple of pics of me and my ex gf that were automatically backed up to onedrive from when I had an windows phone, a few years ago.
Sometimes I look at them.. it hurts so much.. I looked so happy...
I've got several assembly hacks I wrote for Super Mario World 10 years ago, I worked pretty hard on it and burned that shit to CDs
Does /g/ just fucking fabricate problems? I have never experienced any problems that the other anons experience here. I've used Ubuntu, Arch, Debian, Windows Vista, 7, 8, 10 and most of the MacOS past 2012.

I'm liking Debian with Cinnamon right now.
Despite all the memes, I think arch is pretty good.
