Am I the only one who sees the hypocrisy in pic related?
Yep.
Freedardism is like marxism. Only college kids think it makes sense.
Yes, you're the only one retarded enough.
Below is a code I've been developing for a little while now and I would like to see how well it holds up to people trying to decode it. If you do crack it you'll know how to reach me. Good luck, /b/

You're an idiot. The first rule of cryptography is that security through obscurity is a myth. Go fuck yourself and read up on AES/ChaCha20

Ever heard of Windows? It has this great new thing called a graphical user interface, so you don't have to type everything into a command line anymore.
What e-reader (e-ink) should I get?
I've been looking at the Kobo and the kindle.
I want maximized customizability in my e-reader and functionality. I like open standards and want to use epub.
With Calibre you can easily export epub into mobi. Kindle is not really customizable, but it's good in what it does.
>>56667361
Kindle has the better hardware and is cheaper.
>>56667361
Get a kobo. The only benefit of a kindle is that they break less easily.
is C++ hard to learn?
What kind of ide are pro devsu using for C++?
I doubt that they are coding in vim
>>56667354
devs on Windows mostly use visual studio because it why not?
on linux sure many use vim or emacs. it is pretty easy to get editors like vim/emacs to work really well for c++ development.
on mac who the fuck knows. probably xcode, vim or emacs. maybe eclipse or netbeans if you are fucking retarded.
yes c++ is hard to learn. not so much the starting topics but c++ is huge so "learning" it is gonna take a long fucking time.
There's also Code::Blocks, if you're into Free™ things. It's not as good as Visual Studio, but has C/C++ project management, compiling/debugging and some simpler intellisense.

QTcreator is a hundred times better its like a clone of the old VSs
Why do people still use Firefox?
They don't.

>>56667276
Considering that everything works the way I want it to, I have no real reason to invest the time and energy to migrate to anything else.

Other business laptops are also welcome in /tpg/ (e.g. Dell Latitude/Precision, HP EliteBook/ZBook).

If you're looking for purchase advice, READ THE BUYERS GUIDE FIRST. Then post, stating budget and requirements (e.g. size and performance).
Don't buy anything OTHER THAN T, X AND W/P SERIES if you want the Real ThinkPad Experience™
Recommended models:
T420 - 14", normal size
X220 - 12.5", ultraportable
----
Why ThinkPad? (also applies to other business laptops)
>Used machines are plentiful and cheap.
>Excellent keyboards - tactile feel and quiet.
>Great durability: chassis uses a magnesium rollcage for structural integrity, with high quality plastic body panels.
>Utilitarian design: e.g. indicator LEDs, 7 row keyboard layout on older models.
>Docking stations that easily turns your laptop into a desktop.
>Easy to repair, upgrade and maintain thanks to readily available service manuals for every model. Spare parts are easy and cheap to obtain.
>The best trackpoint (that red thing in the middle of the keyboard). Great for those who type a lot or hate swiping their fingers all over a touchpad.
>Excellent GNU/Linux & *BSD support.

We have Threads for literally everything, why not mobile phone plans/contracts to shitpost while not in basement?
Anons can share their bargains or/and give advice on getting the right Deal.
For advice state the following
>country
>Budget
>LTE required?
>how many Gib?
>voice flat?
>SMS flat?
>if you comfy with sharing zipcode for checking coverage do that as well
R8 & H8 but keep it friendly

Why are you still using compressed air to clean out your electronics /g/?
>>56667156
Good question, that looks like a sweet deal. Certainly beats being jewed 20€ for a can of air.
>>56667156
I have that. The only thing I don't like is that it heats up
>>56667156
>not just using a vacuum set to blow
Ask all your simple or stupid questions here that don't deserve your own thread. Don't make a new thread asking a question, ask it here. Redirect anons that make question threads outside of /sqt/ to here. Make an effort to search for it on whatever search engine you like before asking.

Time to buy a new gear.
Got an Asus laptop two days ago, it says plugged in not charging. Already tried uninstalling and reinstalling the battery but that didn't work and I can't find where I can remove the battery on it. What should I do?
Yes, I am your free consumer electonics tech support.
That's probably some useless message saying your battery is connected and providing power.
Plug your charger in to see if it changes to something like "Battery plugged in, charging". If it does, you can ignore that shit
>>56666985
leave it alone
the battery will last longer that way, odds are it's already at under max capacity anyway.
windows reports it as being at 100% when it's really just at the new maximum charge.
Reminder that cameras are the reason phones aren't thinner nowadays.
>>56666983
who cares
i'd rather have a camera than a 0.1mm thick phone
I would rather have a 1cm phone with 2 days battery
