That's an educational toy.
People that "know a dick" about technology
and have some actual work in that direction use lab equipment.
You must be either 12yo or shill.
Holy shit, the OTP is the best thing ever. I don't even mind the dynamic typing, it is so good.
>>58147337
Seriously, it is so good. If you write anything that needs to be concurrent, like network code, you owe it to yourself to try out Erlang or Elixir.
>concurrency
Everybody knows that concurrency in every language was shit before Go.

Stay away satanic shill

What's wrong?
Received my pair yesterday.
The Zen+Polaris APUs with HBM on them are going to completely transform the laptop market. They'll be able to market the laptops as gaming laptops without a dedicated GPU, and it will of course BTFO intel in all other areas that the GPU is used as well. They'll be way more power efficient than competing laptops when it comes to 3d shit. On top of all this, they'll become the go-to chipset for people who want to run Linux on their new laptop. The AMDGPU open source driver will be fully mature by then, and they already have tons of code in the kernel to prepare for Zen. Then there's the niche shit like the Multiuser GPU functionality for Virtual Machines, which they're going to open source and provide for all Radeon cards pretty soon.
How will Intel and Nvidia even be able to compete?
>>58147310
BUT I WANT 8 CORE ZEN PLUS VEGA 11 HBM WITH 6K SHADERS N STUFF
MAKE ME A 1500MM^2 CHIP GOD DAMMIT
people are stupid. if they can choose between 10x the performance or intel inside, they'll go intel. amd will have to stay on top with that kind of performance advantage fir years for things to start changing
enthusiast market is a little less retarded but still full of retarded gaymer nvidia + intel only types
>>58147519
honestly this man, brand recognition is a crazy powerful thing
hell it applies to everything, people vote for politicians simply because they recognize the name more than someone else, thats why you get so many fucking things in the mail every election cycle
Hey /g/, I have an odd issue.
My roomate is somewhat of an idiot and accidentally changed his phone number without telling anyone just in time for the holiday vacation when I am 1000 miles away. He is severely disabled and needs someone to contact him, otherwise he could actually starve to death.
Knowing a persons old number, their current address, and pretty much everything about them, is there a way to find their new number?
No but call your local police department and explain the situation and ask them to do a wellness check.
>>58147280
I'll do that as a last resort. Is there really no other way?
>>58147263
>Knowing a persons old number, their current address, and pretty much everything about them, is there a way to find their new number?
if its an ayphone, i dont doubt you could even get his account password to read his SMS on the website
say you lost your phone inside the house, but you cant remember the number to call, confirm some personal data.. done

Looking to get a Lenovo laptop with DOS. Will I still be affected by Superfish if Windows isn't preloaded on my laptop by Lenovo?
>>58147180
>Will I still be affected by Superfish if Windows isn't preloaded on my laptop by Lenovo?
No, but Lenovo is also known for installing rootkits on their systems that will affect any version of Windows installed on the machine ever.
In general, when a company shows that they're blatantly hostile to their users, you stop using them entirely. You don't pick through their lineup for products that don't have known issues and just hope they didn't deign to infect those too
>>58147221
What are these rootkits you speak of?
Care to provide the proofs, proofster?
>>58147221
I wouldn't get a Lenovo, but they are giving great features at an unbeatable price. Dell laptop with the same features is expensive.
So, if I get a lenovo laptop, wipe the hard rive completely and install my own copy of Windows on it, I'd be safe from superfish and other spyware.
What if I install Linux? Will that make it safe?
Should I just buy a laptop with Ubuntu preinstalled? That way I'll know it is compatible with Linux.

I'm pretty convinced that the internet of things is a meme. I really can't imagine it actually be useful to have this much dumb shit all linked together especially in a household setting. What think, /g/?

Innovation in electronics is stagnating, they're desperately trying to find a way out but nothing's working. This won't sell just like smartwatches and VR.

Alright goys, which language needs least writing (like python) but yields the best runtime performance (like C)?
Don't tell me it's Java/C#. They are just as cancerous as C++.

what about very high tier, working at a senior position at a company where you assume no risk but still get a lot of money to pursue your own interest
