reds are 3x faster
Red - best performance.
Blue - low temps.
Black - only for ninjas.
White - extreme cooling, but only for daring professionals.
with dubs this absolutely crushes backdoored Intel kikestones
we also can have civilized discussion of the greatest AMD64 processor right here!
No dubs for AMD

You sure?

That's bad news. It means he'll make another thread just like this one.

Anyone tried it already?
Why should I use this over i3? I'm at 270mb ram usage and 13 hours battery life. If it can top that, I'm in.
>>58176762
It's not as light as i3

I think I will finally upgrade and take the time to update all my scripts.
tried the upgrade to 3.5 before and a lot of stuff stopped working, was too lazy to bother at the time so I just went NOPE and masked >3.4.
Hey /g/, I'm a musician about to make the processing to performing live.
The bare bones of my set up is a macbook pro that runs Ableton Live 9 and a lot of third party plugins, some of which crash or cause general problems running the CPU.
What aspect of my cpu can I upgrade so I can ensure the least amount of crashes or technical issues possible?
>>58176584
upgrade your musical instruments from macbook into real music equipments such a: guitars, drums, etc...
Just play the tracks and pretend you're doing something
>>58176584
What's your average percentage load in Ableton when you play?
If you aren't legit hitting 100% I don't think you really need to upgrade.
If you do need to upgrade consider going hackintosh laptop route since they are pretty good, easy and a way better value than Apples current MBPs
You should be freezing any backing tracks that you don't change in your set.
Hey /g/ i'm trying to make a specific program and have been trying to google the answer to my question for a while now to no avail.
I was wondering if I make an object in java (obviously with its proper class and constructors) if one of its fields could be an ArrayList of the type of said class.
For example, if the class was Car(String name, ArrayList<Car> cheaperCars, ArrayList<Car> expensiveCars)
(this is not my program, but it still has the same issue at hand, an ArrayList<T> as a field).
Thanks.
I have autism, I didn't even finish my question. Anyways, if I create that constructor, will I be able to do this without major complications, and call each object from the ArrayLists later on? As of right now, it's just printing the last declared object in the list over and over.
Of course you can
strange construction. why don't you make 2 classes? cardatabase and car? for every car in the arraylist, you would generate 2 more lists, can easily get confusing. if you want them to sort in prices, look what a binary search tree is
Guys, Im aware that this question was asked before, perhaps few times, but I couldnt find the answer on my own.
My completely new PC still house old Windows 7 installation from previous one, on HDD - transfered via sysprep, but itself now nearly 7 years old. It also have empty SSD - empty, because I couldnt decide, which Windows it will hold.
As a student, I have access to both Education version of Windows 10 and Server 2016. Lately, I got suggestion that I should install Server 2016 as main, everyday-use OS, as the one with most control over its components and functions and "absolutely no spying".
At the same time, Im aware that Server requires user to setup basically everything and that, being OS not designed for computer running for 4-6 hours per day and turning off every night, it might encounter some problems with various software.
Plus, Education seems to get rid of most annoying problems related with Windows 10 - it dont have Cortana, dont display ads suggestions and Shop usage is limited, have the same features and degree of control as Enterprise version (data collection and such) and unlike "Enterpise LTSB" dont face problems with major updates.
Since this actually HAVE to be Windows (so no, I wont install Solus or Gentoo), I want to ask you guys for opinions.
Unless there is something Im missing, 10 Education seems to be better. What would you say?
>>58176429
Have you considered installing Gentoo Linux?
>>58176780
Oh you.

>as the one with most control over its components and functions and "absolutely no spying".
lol, and you believe that there is no spying?

Install Gentoo
First let me start I'm not from Murica so your awesome deals don't apply here.
So an upstart shitty web dev and I wanted to buy monitors for my work. Currently I'm stuck with my shitty 1366×768 laptop monitor.
Now I was wondering what do I do? I have about 300$ but for reference I'll convert prices into USD here.
The DellP2416D is a 24" 1440p monitor that costs 288$
The Dell U2417H(could get HA for the arm) is a 24" 1080p monitor that also costs 288$
There also an option to buy 2 entry level IPS monitors from say ANYONE really... so I get a 2×1080p setup and later buy a 50$ Dual Screen mount or arms.
I was also considering going a decent IPS monitor and later just adding another one say a P2417H?
So what would be best for productivity. I most have notepad++ open together with a few browser windows, some paint.net and folders also word.
Does anyone have any suggestions or recommendations?
Dell U2415 it's ips and 16:10(1920x1200), that would be my choice
Otherwise the Dell p2416d isn't a bad choice, it has a lot of screen realestate for a 24" display, almost too much. You might need to do some scaling so the text isn't too small
>>58176423
In my experience 1080p doesn't have enough height to be comfortable, but it's usable and definitely better than 1366x768 crap.
Nice Reddit spacing
What does /g/ think of the Google Pixel?
>>58176204
Google is going to dominate the smart phone industry
I don't even consider it due to its unjustified price.

I used to live with someone whom I discovered was very untrustworthy. I am now reconsidering my digital security after having lived with that guy for a year.
* I used his Internet connection (he had an Apple Airport Extreme, and he did not use it to stream anything -- can it be used to monitor traffic?).
* He claimed at one point that a music album I was listening to did not show on his iTunes, and asked if he could send a link for it to his phone from mine. He held my phone for a few seconds. I do not know what he did with it during that time. (Could have messaged someone.)
I am considering formatting my machine, reinstalling windows, and then logging into all my accounts and changing my passwords.
Perhaps I could do the same with my iPhone (reset it to factory settings / do not know if I can backup my messages).
Pictures like that annoy me slightly because I know someone is fucking her, and it isn't me.
>>58176105
You can check the activity on many accounts to see whether your ex boyfriend logged into them or not. You can do that with Google account, VK.. I don't know about Apple though.

If I'm not a pedo, >hacker and I don't do shady shit on my win10, why would I be mad at botnet?
inb4 >normie, >shill
Seriously why do people care?
Really makes me think.
You are browsing 4chan.
That's shady enough for me to turn down your job application after i have gotten my hands on your browsing history details from Microsoft for "advertising research".
>>58175975
I don't care about botnet but forced updates drive me fucking crazy. I want to be able to actually control my own fucking computer which I bought with my own hard earned money.
Crazy, I know.
>>58175993
That's actually quite smart, but i don't think that any employer in my shitty country would even think about it, even if they did, they probably don't know what 4chin is.
How many monitors are needed to be productive when programming?
Im currently doing some Unity and C# shit with only one monitor and i really feel like i could need three monitors. One for documentation, one for MonoDevelop and one for the the engine itself
Let's be clear, if you're using Unity you're effectively scripting, not programming.
>>58175952
If I theoretically had as much money as I could want, and I fill a room top to bottom per wall with screens in 4k, I would still not have enough for all my productive tasks.
>>58175952
One.
I've been using Linux for a year now. Whenever there's a problem I google it and the answer is an arcane set of commands I can copy-paste.
Whenever I need a piece of software or a specific functionality of a tool that already might be built in (I wouldn't know), I google it.
I feel so helpless. I don't want to search for <distribution> how to do <X> every time I need something from my system. But how do you actually learn this shit? Can experienced users administrate the system without the predominant use of search engines?
>>58175936
learn to code, learn bash, and post moar pics
>>58175947
I am actually a decent Python and C programmer and know enough bash and core-utilities to automate simple tasks. That does not help me in any way with the problem I described.
