How many more years until we have this technology?
We already have it, you just need really high resolution photos.
>>58182507
This
The closest you'll ever get is having the base photos be extremely high res with a compressed local copy. "enhancing" would just be grabbing progressively higher res versions from the server the original is on until you've reached native res, which is the maximum "zoom" here.
Won't happen because replacing the camera infrastructure all over the place takes a ton of time and money, especially for the type of res you'd need for that type of thing packed into a relatively small package.
But in theory yes, it's already possible.
>>58182577
Wow, you're literally retarded.
Did moxie finally give in ?
https://github.com/WhisperSystems/Signal-Android/pull/5962
>>58182465
he's a jew, jews never give in, he'll just come up with an excuse later on to make it google services dependent again
>>58182465
he might give in on allowing a patch to Signal that removes the need for Google services on the phone, and that's good.
the problem is that he shows no signs of giving in on federation, apparently just because he's a control freak.
>>58182563
Step by step, I guess
Can any one help me fix windows' horrible fonts? It's been a while I used windows and I don't even know what I am missing
Install Gentoo
>>58182449
Bump
I heard windows font rendering is "the best"
>I heard windows font rendering is "the best"
Yes, there is no way windows can get better fonts. Or else they would have made some software to make it better, which nobody has.
What's the best way to hide an Ethernet cable? My Gaming PC is upstairs and my router is downstairs. Ps... is pcie or a wifi card any good?
Get a powerline adapter
>>58182440
Powerline adapters are shit, they have not even the speed of wireless g on a good day. I would get a flat ethernet cable an run it behind or parallel to molding around the floor/ceiling
>>58182427
Try spray painting random orange streaksaround your house so that it disorient people and they don't notice the ethernet cable. You can also hide it behind some trash.
hey, i'm building a desktop and a friend of mine told me that corsair's power supply units aren't that great
what do you guys think?
corsair or evga?
They're fine and have a good warranty.
EVGA>corsair all day long
While Corsair PSUs are fine, the CX series is awful. Avoid it.
h-hey /g/
I'm doing electrical engineering at school because I've been conditioned by my really shitty education system to hate programming, but I still love electronics hardware.
how can I get into the world of software so I can change my major to something that isn't so shit? (o-or maybe tell me it's okay idk)
>>58182205
Do both faggot.
>>58182205
>hate programming
elaborate, you'll be doing some kind of programming regardless if you want to do some something with computers or you can become an IT monkey with a million certs and be comfy.
>EE
>shit
I'm a junior in EE and have a 22/hr internship lined up for the next 2 semesters. It's worth the difficulty.
Girlfriend makes art assets and wants to have more room. I was thinking about one like pic related since ive seen them in battlestation threads, but not sure how good they are or price.
What would you recommend?
>>58182026
is yr grl a pilow
>>58182143
Nah she's got proportions kinda like midna. Hourglass shape.
is color accuracy a concern? If so you want an IPS panel, if it's a MAJOR concern, you'll want a colorimeter and an NEC or EZIO display.
If it's only somewhat important most IPS panels will be fine. Dell U2715H I have seen on sale relatively recently.
How does it make you feel, /v/?
I don't know. Why don't you go to >>>/v/ and ask them?
>>58181967
Thank christ I still have windows 7
>>58181998
>I don't know. Why don't you go to >>>/v/
I thought we already are in /v/ judging by the catalog
>2017
>he claims to be a technology enthusiast
>he still has less than 16GB of RAM
Why?
You only need 16GB of RAM. It is enough to do your work.

Thoughts on Huawei in general? Seems to me their phones could give them a foothold in the US (especially after the S7's went full Allah Ackbar), even though the US govt. sperged out on them
If anyone actually has any Huawei tech I'd be very interested to hear your experience with it.
Ran by (non literal) gypsies, kikes and niggers.
Phone hardware is likely to break.
yeah i work for a small isp and we tried huawei routers for a bit. we found so many backdoors that we didn't even bother finishing the tests. literally every packet had >hua >wei unicode in them instead of random data. don't trust them.
Got a Honor 8, shit's pretty good quality, seems to have a decent finish to it and it doesn't perform any worse than when i've got the phone.
>"I have to pay attention to THREE things at ONCE? How will I ever be able to do this?!"
>"at least APPLE makes things simple enough for my simple brain to comprehend! I want everything to be the same so I don't have to pay attention to anything and can just buy one phone a year like a good consumer!"
He's not wrong. All the gook and nip brands are shit at supporting the non flagship devices with updates.
>>58181719
Each new name gives them a reason to not update the older phones of the same generation.
>>58181753
All phone manufacturers other than google, apple is good until they gimp the old ones.
So, what did /g/ get from Santa-san this year?
I got a new 1TB SSD and new Sennheiser headphones.
Don't tell me Santa-san missed your house this year!
>>58181700
Santa gave me a season 2, which I won't share with anyone
>>58181822
you sound like someone who was on Santa's naughty list and didn't get anything this year.
Santa gave my Dad cancer :(
anything equivalent in memory usage and speed, beyond c/c++ ?
So the only reason you don't use a language that you like is because of an ad hominem based on genetics?

Post your component list, rate other anons', ask questions in general.
Always state the purpose of your PC, your budget, AND YOUR COUNTRY if outside the USA.
If you are asking for improvements, clarify whether you want to lower price or to improve specs or build quality.

Currently struggling to hell and back with a bunch of hand me down parts and a few new bought stuff
Everything was on and running perfectly. I would get 1 long beep and 8 short ones
I took the CMOS battery out for 15 minutes and put it back in. Now I just get beeping that sounds like a ram issue. The ram SHOULD be compatible and it works fine in my older computer. With the ram completely out the continues beeping doesn't change at all
Any ideas?
First for trying to get this answered for like two days
What's the maximum safe package temperature for an i3 6100, since overclocking it disables the core temperature readings?
https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Sellout/saved/Rxz6hM
Need some feedback on this build, I've never done one before and everything I've found is within my price range (around $900) but I want to make sure it'll be worthwhile, thanks.
