What? My shitty 2009 Dell computer that doesn't even have a dedicated graphics card can run PP just fine.

I'm just trying my new RX 480 8GB with Vanilla Skyrim modded using just about half a dozen graphical mods and it doesn't crawl above 30 fps on 1080p.

What is the cheapest graphics card that would enable you to run with hundreds of mods at a steady 1080p 60 fps like pic related?

RAM Slot blocked.jpg

I want to upgrade my RAM since I'm hitting close to 8 GB RAM usage sometimes now.

Looked up the RAM I'm using and it's apparently this:

8GB-Kit G.Skill Sniper PC3-14900U CL9-10-9-28

I would order another set, but here's the problem:

My EVO 212+ fan is blocking the RAM slot on the left due to the size of the RAM. (pic related, although I couldn't find a better angle)

What's the best course of action here?
6 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
Sometimes you can move the fan up a bit. If it's not in a push/pull configuration, maybe you could move the fan to the to the other side of the heat sink.
>>
>>58380581
I could move the fan to the other side, but wouldn't that fuck up the airflow?

Nah, autists have tested and found not much difference. http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-2684378/push-pull-push-pull-configuration-cooler-master-hyper-212-evo.html

Im trying to watch a 1080p mkv file on my parents MacBook air late 2010 model with 2gb of RAM using VLC, and its stuttering.

Is this the laptops limits hardware, or does VLC suck balls on macosx?

Is there another player I can try?

>>
Try mplayer although the most likely thing will be that it'll play smooth video but audio won't be in sync. If none of that works, try to downsize it to 720 via ffmpeg, which should do the conversion quicker than other apps

Is this the start of the end for interesting CPU refreshes?

Non-silicon chips are far away and if Intel are messing up, it's not as if AMD will save the day.

>>58380154
The beginning of the end was in 2009. Personal Computers are no longer interesting or culturally relevant.
>>
>>58380336
PC gaming seems a lot more relevant now than it did back in 2009.
>>
>>58380154
For AMD yes.

For intel, this is the second most disappointing release since the pentium 4

White ram works very well if paired with other white components.
Black ram is cheap but will make random components in your rig disappear over time and is not recommended.

Don't worry.

Yahoo's security is so shit that the hackers who already have your password will soon change it for you.
>>
What yahoo service?
>>
>>58380052
Its because of your browser systems. Go to your windows folder (it might be c:/windows, i dont know i dont use windows) and make 2 folders named "systemx64" and "systemx32" in there and delete "system32" then reboot and youll be greeted by a black screen with white text, let it compile the system numbers and boom, you now have access to the developer version of whatrver your main browser is. Make sure you set the browser with yahoo on it to tour main browser or itll compile for another browser and youll need to repeat the process. If yourcomputer wont boot, just keep on trying. Usually works at abour 4-5 tries.
