Why don't modern IDEs look this good?

There was something just spot on about the look of visual studio .net. Of course, they fucked it up in the next release by adding gradients.

i got this stereo receiver from my uncle a while back, finally got around to hooking it up today. problem is no noise comes from it, i know the speakers are good and it lights up and stuff, I think the problem is that there's a battery compartment on the back for 3 AAs and the batteries in it were from the 80s.

Why would something like this even have a battery compartment though? I checked google and can't find anything on it.

What is preferable? An oem case with little fans and no cable management or a riced out case that supports lots of fans?

I am trying to rebuild viber.apk

$ apktool d -s -r
$ apktool b
$ jarsigner
$ zipalign

The resulting apk can be installed and runned but can't connect to viber services.

Any thoughts?

Hello /g/.
Anyone here using (or used) PCLinuxOS? I've seen many people drop good reviews for it on DistroWatch.
Is it any good? How many packages does it have and how can you get more of them (ppa, extra repos, .deb files?). Also, how will not having Systemd affect my daily usage?
Remember trying to boot it from a live USB a few years back with no success. As an Arch user, should I bother trying again?

Samsung S8+ or Huawei Mate 9?

From what I gathered.
S8+:
> Overall better specs
> Faster
> Waterproof

Huawei Mate 9:
> Has dual-zoom - but not really. It's just "magic", while the iPhone 7 uses hardware zoom.

> Can be fixed (!!!). The s8+ is hot_glue.png while the Mate 9 can be simply unscrewed then disassembled with a suction cup.

I realize the battery will work for 2 years but I still use an S3 and you know, they just work. Only had to throw away one phone, an M7 because the battery is so fucking hard to replace.

Has anyone done an official Samsung battery replacement on the S6 or S7?

Things Windows can do that your average Linux distribution can't do without significant tinkering and/or dropping down into the command line:

* have drivers for new hardware and certain brands known to be problematic, such as BroadCom
* support signed drivers to prevent tampering
* support signed chain from UEFI to the kernel (UEFI SecureBoot)
* support signed application binaries
* run .NET applications (inb4 Mono, to which I say: WPF support)
* run UWP applications from the Store
* use hybrid boot for faster booting
* install automatic and invisible security patching in the background
* provide group policies for easy management of what computers can and cannot do
* integrate with an Active Directory to provision group policies across all Windows boxes in a network
* painless three-click setup of hard drive encryption through BitLocker

So, tell me, why are Linuxlets still refusing to use Windows on their desktop?
