What is preferable? An oem case with little fans and no cable management or a riced out case that supports lots of fans?
I want to downsize and was thinking of using pic related.

And this is what the inside kinda looks like. Only has one 80mm back fan and the cpu cone thingy.
This is my current case. Metal is paper thin but has 6 120mm fans.

it's fine as long as you're not severely overheating. 40C idle/65C load is usual for a case with few vents and fans
the newer Dell Optiplex cases are pretty neat, especially the slim ones if you don't mind having only low profile slots
also plain cases are usually a bit quieter than the full of holes ones
>cable management
you can have a case that makes it easy or difficult, but it's something (You) do, not something the case has or does

You forgot the third option: a plain-looking case that supports lots of fans and cable management.
More options is almost always better you know. Pardon me if I read between the lines but it sounds like you want lots of fans and shit but none of that riced acid-trip looking LED shit all over.
