Why is WINE so unstable? Is there any hope for efficient windows emulation in linux?
Wine is not an emulator
>>60250897
>Wine Is Not an Emulator
>>60250907
>https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wine_(software)
>It emulates the Windows runtime environment...
>The name Wine initially was an abbreviation for Windows Emulator.
>Its meaning later shifted to the recursive acronym Wine Is Not an Emulator in order to differentiate the software from CPU emulators.
Wine is an emulator.
Just got my internet upgraded and the test speed says 50+ mb/sec download 20+ mb/sec upload,
yet my download speed on steam and torrents only caps out at around 7.5mb.
is this normal? is the test speed always much faster then what your actual download speed is? am i missing something
>>60250866
bit and byte are different things
Try dividing by 8
60/8 == 7.5
seems about right :v
You missed the capitalization of certain letters and their meaning.

m.2 is good for saving space in small cases and not needing drivebay cages
>>60250806
nigga there aren't any SSDs that need drivebay cages
with them being solid state and all you could probably leave one hanging on a cable like a real autistic faggot

You get really good read/write performance for the dollar with m.2
Is it worth spending money to ship a Seagate hard drive back for replacement?
No, even if they give you a new drive instead of a refurbished one, you'd still end up with a Seagate.
>>60252857
retard
>>60250711
Just pack it in a small flat rate priority mail box and it'll be like 8 bucks to mail it back. Or don't cuz it's a Seagate

You can do it, anon. I believe in you. You can do anything with the right attitude.
Let's take stock of upcoming Intel CPUs.
i7-7740K - Pointless rehash with 100 MHz more base clock, same 4.5 GHz boost clock, on a new HEDT socket. If it's soldered, it means Intel has been lying to everyone. If it uses the same jizz TIM, it means you still have the delid the piece of shit to get decent temps.
i5-8600K, i7-8700K - 6 core, 6 thread and 6 core, 12 thread consumer oriented CPUs. Will run hotter, have half as much (or less) of a single core advantage, still lose in multithreading, have lower OC headroom, and will still be more expensive. May or may not be compatible with existing Z270 motherboards. But let's face it, it's Intel. Backwards compability is not a very good gamble.
i7-7950X - 12 core, 24 thread MEGA-TASKING MONSTER on the same HEDT socket as the i7-7740K. Will be completely shut down by AMD's HEDT platform X390/X399 (Codename Threadripper, nice job marketing guys), which offers 16 core, 32 threads at a lower TDP and very likely lower price.
So, Intel fans, what are you Just Wait(tm)ing on?

How to disable the infamous build 7601 'Windows 7 is not genuine' prompts?
I have used the SLMGR / REARM cmd line 3 times until it expired. Then I changed the value of the SkipRearm entry in the register from 0 to 1, but it always keeps reverting back to 0 after restarting the PC, so I can't enter the SLMGR / REARM again.
Is there a solution to this, or should I use some external activator? Any good ones?

Tried it on a fresh install of windows. Same problem. Its a known issue with nvidia cards and high res monitors that doesn't seem to be a consistent working solution.
