They sounded good already out of the box, and now that it's been a few months and well past the burn-in time, I'm very impressed with how they ended up. Especially considering the price point. Plus they feel solid in the ears and look really premium. I've gotten a ton of compliments and questions about them.

Is it just me or is the demand for CPU power by games currently in relative stagnation? I'm due to for a new build soon but my 2500K still handles things fine, and it's not even overclocked yet. Feels like the thing could go for another three and a half years.

I love my t430, and the egpu for it works wonderfully.
I bought my oldest sister a t420 an i5, 320gb HDD, 1600x900 screen, 8gb of ram, and nvidia graphics. She's gonna be using it for playing the sim 3, and her husband will use it for studying electrical code. It cost me 200$. I feel like this was a good price, and it will suit their needs.
Any other positive experiences?

so much this. I was helping to build a computer to send into the upper atmosphere, it was a nightmare. The first computer was put in a vacuum chamber to test it, it got over 60 degrees Celsius. The second got down to 30 degrees, and the third got to a 25, which was the one we sent up. It worked pretty good, though managing heat sinks and weight is killer.

this was no issue for us, we'd be getting our hdd and backup drive back. But we put in an antenna and software defined radio and sent bits back and forth, this was mostly just for reading temps and shit, not all the data it was supposed to gather.
All in all, I wouldn't recommend anyone that isn't a team of physicists and computer scientists or someone with a lot of money to blow to do this, there is more testing and problems than you'd think...

I like having some kind of connection or distraction open so it doesnt feel so lonely all the time. Like a radio station or a stream in the background. I find it hard to focus if I'm not 'connected'

Im about to install Antergos on a nigger rigged PC I drunkenly put together last night.
I have 3 HDDs, a SATA 320GB one, an IDE 400GB one and an IDE 60GB one from 2003 that kinda still works.
Which one would be better to work as my OS HDD? The SATA one or the IDE one?
