Why haven't you brought one yet?

New Raspberry Pi Model B+ released.

Because I don't fucking use my last gen model B.

>no more Composite output

Wasn't the whole point of this thing to be so poor kids could get access to cheap, affordable computers that would plug into their old, shitty TVs?

I'm still thinking of getting an RPi and a serial board though to set it up as a micro terminal server.
>>
What's the difference between the model B except for the GPIO and USB ports?

>>

Not quite. The data before is the packer for the main exe. It ends at raw offset 16423. After a fair amount of trial and error I successfully unpacked the file and have the raw dump. That msg is merely proof after the file has been executed I can call the WIN32 API MessageBox and point to my injected string (which will be replaced later with pointers to new ASM code) for patching this files security mech which is much easier now that I have the exe's raw dump, though still a bit tricky.

LiveUSB/LiveCD Squad Edition Power Rankings:

LPS (Lightweight Portable Security) Public Edition (http://spi.dod.mil/lipose.htm)
Created by: ATSPI Technology Office of AF
Purpose: fallback distro in case your military computer breaks and you have to access/edit/view top secret information
Official Flyer: http://spi.dod.mil/docs/LPS_DS.pdf
Pros: Created and maintained by the military, hardened debian, clean UI, comes with Encryption Wizard (http://www.spi.dod.mil/docs/ewmanual.pdf), most go-to distro for accessing your bank account from an unsecure computer, basic set of office tools and programs
Cons: No anonymity
Online use: depends, some anonymity might be achieved through public hotspots that also dont record with cameras
Offline use: best candidate hands down

Tails 1.1
Created by: ?
Purpose: instant magic solution to privately browsing the web via Tor, or accessing hidden services
https://tails.boum.org/
Pros: encrypted persistence, built in Tor, i2p, basic set of office tools and programs, PGP, privacy centered
Cons: heavily relies on Tor which can be compromised, comes with shitty defaults like enabled javascript, always gets patched revealing previous fuckups that may deanonymize its users (browsed i2p in 1.0? sorry, it was broken and unsecure but we fixed it in 1.1 ;-))), nowhere near ready enough to be trusted with anything serious
Online use: with a prayer
Offline use: good to go

Liberte Linux
Created by: anonymoos skids
Purpose: serious COMSEC
Pros: hardened gentoo, clean ui, basic office programs
Cons: dead, outdated kernel, most likely filled with hundreds of exploits
Online use: you will get fuckoed, guaranteed
Offline use: probably ok

sorry if the list sounds biased / shilly, just going by what I know and common sense

All my private data is on my home server on a hidden encrypted volume.

My desktop/laptop contain only free/open source software and maybe some legally purchased games.

But that doesn't matter, because I don't live in a police state.

Let's play a stupid game.
Here we have a town with 5000 happy individuals. 10 of them are world-renowned doctors.
Three of them however are having a bad day and have been infected with a very contagious disease.
The infected have a 75% chance of performing an action, the action depends on a few things.
First of all, they can only look to the left, right, in front and behind them. Let's just say
>pic related
is a birds eye-view of the town. They're very uniformed.

Anyway, if they choose to do an action, they choose a random direction to do it in (25%). If in the direction they choose is a healthy citizen, they will become infected. However if their action is towards a doctor, one of four things will happen.

>The doctor will die
>The infected will die
>The doctor will become infected
>The infected will be astoundingly cured and trained by literally the worlds best doctor. Ever. (i.e. become doctor)

From what I've gathered, there is no chance to survive, make your time. I've been running the simulation assigning the 10 doctors and three infected to random locations. I'm going to let you guys choose where to place them. Let's see who survives the longest.

Once that gets boring, I'll be open to suggestions, variable tweaks and so-on.
Give me locations in an X,Y format where you'd like the ten units to be placed.
I'll run your simulation and post the resulting picture.
If at any time your citizen count drops below 20, the simulation ends.
The board is x50 by y100.

Can someone please explain to me why haskell has a problem with this

[ do {print x; putStr "\n"} | x <- [1..10]]

it should just print the numbers 1..10 out with a new line between each
>>
>>43473027
Whats the error.
>>
>>43473061

No instance for (Show (IO()))
arising from a use of 'print'
Possible fix: add an instance declaration for (Show (IO ()))
In a stmt of an interactive GHCI command: print it

I think the list comprehension has some default print that's interfering with the do statement

I finally tried one this week while on an emergency phone hunt. Honestly, it's alright. I didn't hate it and kind of liked that it was very streamlined and straightforward.

That said, there were two main issues; some of the simpler innovations on the Android front were sorely missed (double tap-then-drag to zoom is amazing and Chrome on Android eats Safari alive in terms of usability; Chrome on iOS is almost identical to Safari.) More importantly, I'm on Verizon and for some stupid fucking reason, Apple decided to have the iPhone use one Antenna for both LTE and CDMA, meaning it has to roll back to CDMA when making a call and you can't use voice and data at the same time. This was a huge fucking dealbreaker for me and I took it back the day I discovered it.

How this isn't brought up more in the "Versus" discussions, I don't know. I know this isn't an issue on GSM carriers but fucking still.

>During his chat with the public, irungentoo was faced with the question of whether Tox, a client that claims to be "NSA-proof" encrypts IP addresses. irungentoo had to admit that Tox, much like Skype, divulges your IP address to anybody you become friends with.

>This means that everybody on 4chan who has posted their Tox ID publicly in a 4chan thread (which are archived) and has accepted friend requests from strangers has also given their IP to those strangers and vice versa. When pressed for comment on the insecurity of letting people just post their Tox ID's in every Tox thread, irungentoo did not answer.

Here is the thread in question:

https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=8123152

If the Tox team is unable to encrypt user IP information on the client itself, they should at the very least warn users of what data they are divulging when the Tox team encourages people to post their Tox IDs in threads like this one and those advertising-supported "social" sites they run such as

addmeif.com

toxme.se

These sites are cancerous and encourage people to give their IP addresses to total strangers.
