Does anyone on fit do cycling instead of running? Are there any beginners programs similar to couch to 5k for the bike?
51 posts and 7 images submitted.
>>
I ride my bike everywhere but I'm dutch so its pretty much expected of me.

Use google maps to find a nice route and ride that every day.

Time it and try to improve.
>>
>>37759255
I cycle and run, but for the moment it's mostly cycling.
You don't need a program, just ride regularly. That should do for the beginning.
Make sure you push yourself every once in a while (but not the whole time on every ride).
Try to increase the length of your rides. Find hills to ride up.
Important: learn how to handle your bike. Cornering, braking, being aware of what's around you could some day save your life.

If you want to work towards a goal, there are organised rides (no timing, public roads) or races that anyone (not just club members) can join (sometimes on a closed circuit, sometimes on public roads). Don't know what that's called in english.

Once you've been at it for a while it's a good idea to find people to ride with. There are group rides in many cities, so you can probably find something on the internet.

Cycling is really poor cardio. You'll put a lot of effort into it, get only mild whole-body returns, and your thighs will burn like the sun.

I can get more bang for my buck with 5 minutes of running than an hour of cycling.

Welcome to /skin/, the skincare general.

§ Cleanse

This should be the first thing you do in your skincare routine. If you have dry or normal skin, you can get away with doing this step once per day. If you have oily skin, you may want to perform this step twice per day.

Cleansers remove the dirt and grime from your skin. You should use the most gentle cleanser possible that still cleanses your skin properly.

Some cleanser product recommendations:

• CeraVe Foaming Facial Cleanser (normal to oily skin): http://www.cerave.com/our-products/cleansers/foaming-facial-cleanser
• CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser (normal to dry skin): http://www.cerave.com/our-products/cleansers/hydrating-cleanser
• Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser (normal to oily skin): http://www.cetaphil.com/daily-facial-cleanser

§ Exfoliate

Exfoliation removes the dead skin from your skin. Exfoliation commonly helps with acne, and improves the look of your skin because it removes the dead skin cells.

How often you exfoliate depends on what skincare product(s) you are using and how sensitive your skin is to exfoliation. There are two different types of exfoliation—chemical and physical. Chemical exfoliation is preferred since it more evenly exfoliates your skin and is less likely to damage your skin than physical exfoliation. Because of this, physical exfoliation will not be discussed yet in this general.

Chemical exfoliant products are subdivided into Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) exfoliants and Beta Hydroxy Acid (BHA) exfoliants. Use AHA exfoliants if your skin has a lot of wrinkles and sun damage or use BHA exfoliants if your skin is acne-prone or you have clogged pores. You can mix the usage of AHA exfoliants and BHA exfoliants, but that is beyond the scope of this general at the current time.

Chemical exfoliants vary in strength, so how often you can use an exfoliant is entirely dependent on the strength of the exfoliant and the sensitivity of your skin to exfoliation. Experiment with how often you exfoliate. No matter how often you exfoliate, it should always be done after cleansing. You should wait at least twenty minutes before continuing your skincare routine once you are done exfoliating to let your skin’s pH return to normal.

If you are using a retinoid (such as tretinoin gel) then you should be much more wary about using exfoliants, since retinoids make your skin much more sensitive.

Is anyone else tired of spending all day long on this website?

It genuinely feels like there literally nothing to learn from being here. It's just a complete waste of time, and yet I can't resist. I want to make lifegains but I'm just not able to, I need to quit but I don't know how

Is anyone else familiar with my feelings?

Do people actually spend a good part of their day on 4chan?

It's entertainment, why would you think otherwise?

Schedule it in as such and you'll be fine.

It's a problem with you, if it wasn't 4chan you would be wasting your time somewhere else

And when you consider 78% bioavailability from plant based protein.. I would never hit my macros

Don't be such a fucking coward. Death is the only promise, the only truth that you are guaranteed in the folly of life. Embrace that, find strength in it.

I mean really, Death is at worst, total peace from the horrors of life, and at best, maybe there is something beyond it, so I say look forward to death.

You're right, that's always something I've had in the back of my mind "I should get around to learning," but never did. I'm still going to play muh tetris, but I'll pick up chess as well.

>fish oil

Fell out of practice with that, have some cod liver oil in the fridge I haven't touched for a month, hopefully it's still good.

>nootropics

Haven't heard of those in a while. Any you'd recommend? The only one that comes to mind is "Piracetam," and the last time I read about it was more than three years ago.
