Today we're starting with Amazing Spider-Man 661 which serves as a guest issue with The Avengers Academy (which was a great series by Gage that was butchered by Hopeless).
Also if anyone's interested here are the links to Bendis' Powers from start to finish. The link to the TV is provided at the bottom.

>password is the primary name Walker used while operating as a superhero. Think super HARD!
Starting the trek back to my apartment. I really hope that one anon that requested the TV show manages to find this thread.
Also if peeps could send a bump or two my way that would be AMAZING! Some might even say SPECTACULAR! I'd even go so far as to say SENSATIONAL!

Ur my hero.
>>90291095
>which was a great series by Gage that was butchered by Hopeless
Nigger, nobody but wannabe hipsters gave a shit about that series or those crappy characters. Hopeless is still a huge faggot though, but not because of "MUH AVENGERS ACADEMY!!!"
>>90292139
End yourself.
>>90292393
Why? For not sucking Gage's cock, who has proven over and over to be an aggressively mediocre writer at best? For not liking a series with utterly bland and forgettable protagonists and no memorable stories? For not liking a comic that excels in no way with completely generic art to boot? And no, telling me to "end myself" or whatever is not an argument.
Thread has been pretty dead today.
>>90293404
It should we pick up once we hit Spider-Island
Gotta love Anti-Venom. Probably one of Slott's better ideas.
>>90293578
I've always hated Wraith's design. Makes no sense to me.
>>90293578
Is it just the angle, or did Prowler get boobs?
>>90293830
>being this casual
Sure anon, keep telling me about how you totally read comics...
>>90293720
Right there with ya. Not sure if this is a contrarian opinion but I would have preferred Sin Eater
>>90293867
It's mostly the elastic strips that get me, like what are those? How does she control them? It's fucking stupid.
>>90293861
>being this invested in the Sunday funnies
Enjoy your dying hobby, fagfossil.
>>90294067
>y-yeah well you're a nerd!!
And you're still a casual.
I have no idea why but I find that top panel hysterical
Just outta curiosity, do any of you guys purchase physical copies of books you like? I was looking for a hardcover version of Ultimate Wolverine vs. Hulk that wasn't ridiculously priced and I managed to find it as well as two other Wolverine TPB.
>>90292475
You assume he's arguing. The series was fun enough for what it was not everything tries to be great, also it's not really an argument to talk about the artists other works. There's literally a rec list of "bad writers" which as a spoiler contains some of the most universally loved comic books.
>>90294381
>Ultimate Wolverine vs. Hulk
You... liked that?

>This_image but_with_buying_comics_replaced with_posting_images_in_a_storytime.jpg
Dang. I just noticed it said possible malicious code in text.
>>90294572
It has a lot of sentimental value for me. It was one of the first comics I ever read and I genuinely find it an intersting story. The series uses the backdrop of a slug match between Wolverine and Hulk and it manages to entirely subvert expectations at every turn. Not once could I ever predict where the series would take me next which is something I appreciate because I feel modern cape comics are too predictable. Every issue has it's own distinct feel to it with multiple characters getting their own issue from their own point of view. I know it isn't for everyone but I thought it was incredibly creative story that doesn't really upset the status quo, but does give the audience insight as to what drives these characters and in six issues no less.
Another great top panel
>If someone could take a look at this link and give me their thoughts it would be appreciated.

>The above link is what I'm using to order the issues in sequence. I might make a slight alteration or two but It should be relatively consistent.
Yo, so I just saw this post and noticed pretty much no one replied so here's my two cents: for my own storytime I relied on a certain website (Crushing Krisis? Something like that? I dunno, it's in my bookmarks) and my own knowledge. However, that reading order only went as far as AvX, all Marvel Now stuff and beyond wasn't written yet, so I went to the site you mentioned because I'm fairly unread on post-AvX X-Men comics, and boy, lemme tell ya, it gave me a pretty... debatable reading order, at fucking best. I wouldn't rely on that site much if I were you, and I'd check the issues you're posting, just in case you may get it wrong by accident.
Do not have the time to gather every single tie in issue as much as I would like to. Still won't stop me from storytiming the issues I have. On the topic of this series, Casselli is a match made in heaven.
I despise Phil and Nora. That is all.
>>90297259
Why do Phil and Peter have the exact same hairstyle?
>>90297259
Phil was okay before Slott ruined him like everything else.
I would have worn the matching outfits.
I really want to see Spider-Fu in action on screen.
Pete's costume is so fucking sexy
As previously seen in Grimm Hunt by Joe Kelly.
Kaine, you're too good for this world.
This page is setup very well.

>>90297563
The twist here always seemed weird to me. Totally out of left field and really doesn't accomplish anything beyond makingFlash'spart in the story harder.

>Ramos

>>90297769
Ramos is really one of the best spider-man artists. Haters gonna hate.
>>90297851
Nice shitpost, bro.
>>90292616
Wow, that's harsh.
The Ramos artwork will always be weird.
>>90291095
>butchered by Hopeless
Not only did he blow upMettleand takeHazmat out of her hazmat suit (making her into Yet Another Generic Energy Projector); but then he had Spider-Womanknock herself upvia aLITERAL SPERM DONOR!
Has there ever been a more aptly named hack than Hopeless?
He's right there with Bendis and Soule on my "don't even bother to read the first issue" list.
Time for Venom #6. Also I love everything about this cover.
>>90299603
Absolutely genius. Flash is by far one of the best natural improvisers I've ever seen. Every time he's faced with someone he can't physically overpower on his own he somehow incorporates his surroundings (whether they be people or inanimate objects) to his advantage.
Well that's not horrifying
>>90297323
Because Phil has Pete envy
>>90297350
True
Remender you glorious bastard
>>90298855
At some point in the future I'm going to do a storytime of pain wherein I'm gonna post Avengers Arena and Avengers Undercover. I'll make sure to storytime the preceding issues of Runaways and Avengers Academy for the setup.
DUN DUN DUN!!!!
Cap, what have they done to you?
Looks like Remender remembered that the symbiote has extremely versatile morphing abilities.
And that's going to be it for me. I hope everyone enjoyed. I'll pick up tomorrow with more Spider-Island action!!!
>>90300421
Was fun. Appreciate it.
>>90295613
>Ultimate Hulk Vs. Wolverine
Wait, Is the hardcover hard to find or something? I Got it for like $4 at a garage sale
>>90294381
I'll usually get trades if I didn't get most of the floppies for an arc.
>>90297967
this art style is fucking disgusting.
>>90297323
Because he's supposed to be "dark Peter" along with Alpha
>>90297641
And right on time for an event, Ramos.
>>90299645
I'm not sure about that, I'm trying to think of instances later on in Remender, or even Bunn's run where this is the case and I'm having a hard time.
>>90297399
Who wouldn't? You could go play poker as Thing One and Thing Two
>>90293220
>this is the same guy who wrote the clone conspiracy
what happened?
>>90304199
It's really hard to say. I maintain that Slott is actually a good writer, he just gets a little single minded when he's working on pet characters (Peter and Ock). He has a tendency to disappear into his fanfiction and write bizarrely boring stories with insane premises. He needs an editor to force him to pull back on the fan wank and focus on character first, premise second.
>>90294788
Preeetty tired of Slott wanking his ASM #33 tributes I'll tell ya.
