There's a difference between a no-kill rule and going out of your way to save a criminal. A no-kill rule usually means that the character wasn't particularly battle-hardened before becoming a superhero, they weren't used to killing people and probably never had. It's a perfectly sensible piece of characterization. Characters who go out of their way to save their villains, even when they don't deserve it like Batman ARE retarded though.

Very well put. I would argue only one of my characters operate by a no kill rule with everyone else realizing sometimes it's necessary. The other thing you said about heroes going out of their way to save their villains is absolutely retarded. The only exception to the rule is Superman in Joe Casey Superman Adventures run and that's because his Superman was explicitly written as a pacifist.

I think if I were to post exclusively Slott these threads would eventually devolve into full blown Slott bashing. I think incorporating these other (smaller) series will inject some variety into the storytime that would appease even those that hate Slott, thus attracting a larger audience.

At first I was confused when I read the second issue because I didn't know exactly what had happened which agitated me a little. BUt your statement about urgency in the issue cannot be understated. I bet Remender is like Weisman and has a box of index cards somewhere or some "comic bible" he probably wrote for his series.
