Going to pick up where I left off yesterday with Powers #12. Previous thread is located here.

Leaving my office now. Should be home in 15 min. Please send bumps when you can. If not, that's cool too.
In the TV show he looked old as fuck. In this he definitely looks like a hero that would be named Olympia. Also that is one big dude.

>Should be home in 15 min
>It's been 25 min
Should I call 911?

Sorry. Had a student run into me and we chatted a bit.
Diamonds face in the bottom panel slays me.
Disgusting yet creative. Lends a lot of to the idea that Powers physiology is substancially different from humans to the point of being basically radioactive enought to trigger a mutation.
Also, I'm normally one for widescreen panels in comics because they add a cinematic flair (I incorporate the 2x4 grid in my own work), but Oeming is out of his mind for deciding that this entire issue is composed of panels stacked on one another. I'm not the most experienced in laying out comics but even I find this embarassing.
>There are exceptions to what I just said but this is NOT one of them.

>Also that is one big dude.
For you, maybe.
>It was very patriotic of them.
What?

Well played.
This next issue isn't for everyone, but god damn is it creative.
This...looks...AMAZING!!!!
Love it.
Well that's creepy.
=(
In the TV show, his wife understood Olympia got around and while she wasn't pleased, she certainly didn't take it as strongly as this version. She did remark however that he was the best lay she ever had.
4chan is saying this a duplicate file. Even it can detect that the art is lazy in certain pages lol
Any peeps reading along?

This really needed to be 6 pages long.
In the TV show, he died due to a drug overdose provided to him by Callista. She was much older in the TV show.

Guess they don't call it the "little death" for nuthin', hyuck hyuck!
>>89932275
Did Ennis ghost-write this?
>>89932354
Not that I'm aware of. Bendis is actually really violent in a lot of his works, it's just that his Marvel stuff is mostly tame. Emphasis on the word mostly.
>>89932625
Oh yeah, getting flashbacks to Ares' death now
I never liked you.
>>89933567
Ottley is the only guy who can do gore right, I'm convinced
This really is a fantastic read.

Jesus fucking Christ, Bendis.

The first thing I thought when I heard they were making a Powers show was "I wonder if they'll do THAT scene?"
>>89935550
We'd never get that lucky. While the show did a lot of right it did too many things wrong. Why they didn't decide to just make it an animated show is fucking beyond me. Maybe that's just "too obvious" for them.
BENDISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
Deena, you're adorable when you try and act tough.
God damn if Supershock doesn't looker fly as hell in his costume. Getting Michael Madsen to play Supershock in the show was a stroke of genius.
And that'll be it for this thread. I'll see you guys tomorrow!
