WHAT THE FUCK
This was really bad /co/.
I've read most of Morrison's stuff and loved it but this was just nonsense.
For those of you that like it, why?
Fast-paced, emotional, and brimming with gonzo settings, allies, enemies, parodies, and concepts.
Like Fantastic Four on super acid.
>>85509566
It just seemed like Morrison had a billion ideas and just dumped them all in without really worrying about telling stories.
It's such a mess imo.
A lot of the ideas are good but he forgot to shape them at all.
Except it's Morrison's best work second only to Seven Soldiers
Worst golden age simpsons episode incoming
>Season 10
>Golden Age
Yeah, there were some decent episodes in there, but the Golden Age is 1-8.
>>85508558
Most of the fans I've talked to over the years say "the first 10 years" or "the first 10 seasons" of the Simpsons were the best.
I'm guessing they only chose 10 as the cap-off for the golden age because it's a nice round milestone-y number.
>it's a faggot tries to extend the Golden Age era thread
It was 1-8. Even 8 started to have wacky, dumbass plots.
Was she a boy or a girl?

What do you guys think about this? Should they publish it?
>>85508386
Is the turn happening now?
>>85508386
wtf /co/ hates Tom King now
No, it's pretty distasteful. Keep that stuff out of comics, no need to politicize everything.

>DC comes out with live action Killing Joke movie cause fuck it why not?
>Ben Affleck as Batman and Jared Leto as Joker
>Whole movie is a train wreck
>Final scene comes
>Batman offers to help Joker and extends his hand
>Jared Leto slowly reaches his hand out
>Quickly retracts it and slicks back his hair
>"Psyche!"
>Does the fucking thing where he put his hand in front of his face and laughs
>Roll credits
>>85508079
>nine-ten different songs begin playing during the Joker's final scene
>just an endless barrage of mega-hits laid on top of each other while Batman and the Joker are laughing at Joker's flashlight joke (laughs are dubbed)
>scene goes black and the credits roll with an EDM-infused radio mix of The Smiths - There Is a Light That Never Goes Out
>>85508079
>DC comes out with live action Killing Joke movie cause fuck it why not?
>Ben Affleck as Batman and Jared Leto as Joker
I'd watch it.
>>85508079
no god no
If Spider-Man's webshooter material is so awesome, why doesn't he sell it (unrelated to Spider-Man) and stop being poor?
>>85508002
he did.
>>85508002
Because if he did that, then people would know he is Spider Man.
>>85508002
Because capeshit is not logical.
Hey /co/ I want to start reading comics and decided to start with spider-man. Thing is im a little confused with how to actually read comics, i had a look at a wiki and it seems there is the main story Amazing Spider-Man, but there are tie ins, annuals, team-ups, alternate versions like spider island and a whole heap of things that are kind of going over my head.
Would any kind anons mind explaining what those are and if they are important to the main story or can i just read Amazing spider-man and completely ignore team-ups, tie-ins etc?
>>85507862
On Amazing Spider-Man just read anything from the 60's to the early 90's, after that things start to go down hill. If it's a bit too campy for you at the start you can start in the late 70s. If you want to be introduced to the concept of the shared Marvel Universe and want to stay up to date I recommend Vision, Uncanny Avengers, and Spider-Man/Deadpool.
>>85507862
start with a one-shot. move onto a specific arcs that people like that you think have elements that will appeal to you. there is no such thing as true continuity. writers and artists change every few years or months. Each tell their own story that will generally be forgotten by the others.
If you want a specific arc, I'd suggest Kraven's Last Hunt.
>>85507862
Superhero comics do not have coherent "stories". They just go on forever and have the occasional story that can be read on its own.
For Spider-Man just read whatever. Just don't expect it to make any sense because it won't.
"Brun is just a fetish" edition
her autism has been on full display as well

surprise! it's a white male!
That fucking level her face is at compared to this dude.

Here's hoping he's like The Major from Hellsing.
Why did Bane leave his brother to die? Who was expecting them in the wreckage? Why were they expecting them? Why one of the Bane brothers?
Not meming: I have no idea what the fuck is going on in this scene.
What the fuck was up with the blood transfusion? Who were the guys that CIA was talking to before they got on the plane? Bane says that he wanted to know what Dr. Pavel told them, but he just kills them without even attempting to find out and never seems interested in this again. Who were the guys that CIA pretended to kill? Why would he even bother pretending to shoot someone before throwing them out of a plane?
>>85507658
The flight plan he filed with the agency listed Smee, Mahmen, Dr Pavelier, but only one of you. The agency was expecting a prisoner.
>>85507782
A lot of it is nonsensical, but the blood transfusion is presumably to try and make them think the body of the guy they left behind was the Doctor. The CIA guys were probably local agents he'd been working with on-site. Presumably, Bane asks Dr. Pavel what he told them. The CIA pretended to kill guys were presumably terrorist suspects they'd rounded up (or thought they were) in the same batch they got Bane in (though clearly whoever gave them to him wasn't on his side, but Bane's). He wasn't a big guy (in the brains department).
this show was my shit growing up yet i never find anyone talking about it, how do you guys feel about the show?
>>85507629
Just watched an episode yesterday. Loved it, glad it received a proper ending.
>>85507629
