Would you watch a live-action Gravity Falls?

Dat Mabel looks cute in the background.
Thoughts on this man
>>85512959
To have any thoughts on this man you'd need to read something besides /co like 80s Marvel or 90s Valiant plus some additional articles, books, blogs on the behind-the-scenes stuff
This thread is going to get filled with variations of "he could've saved todays marvel" and "lol remember avengers 200"
Wrote first race between Clark and Barry. Created couple of Legionnaries that I like. Made trains run on time at Marvel. Buttfucked Carol. Ruined Pym. Created Valiant. Got kicked out of Valiant. No idea what's he up to these days.
All in all, he did more good than bad. Except for OH MY GOD, HANK SLAPPED ME going on for last 35 years.
Newuniversal or whatever was a cool idea
and he wanted everyone to draw like Kirby which I don't oppose
If Marvel cares so much about diversity why did they cancel X men instead of pushing them as hard as they possibly can?
>>85512791
I've always wondered why the mutants don't address current social politics?
Like where's #MutantLivesMatter vs #AllLivesMatter? Where's J Jonah Jameson calling them menaces and then having to apologize and say his best friend is mutant? Where's Wanda and Pietro getting shit from people for being "token" mutants on the Avengers?
>>85512791
Movies rights, famalamb.
They're trying to make Inhumans the new X-men and failing terribly.
>>85512791
Because 98% of X-Men are white and straight?
Is The Sifl & Olly Show /co/ related?
If you use a very loose definition of the word "animation" then sure.
But hey, Muppets are already cool here, so why the fuck not?
Sifl & Olly on MTV Classic when?
>>85512819
They're not on it already?!
Which of them will die first?
>>85512507
Don't joke about these things, Anon.
>>85512542
I'm not joking.
I think about this frequently.
It worries me.
I cried when Nimoy died even when he wasn't a huge part of my life. I can't even imagine what will happen when one of these guys kicks it.
All that dye on Cullen's head will do him in first.
ITT: cartoons that are literally perfect
>>85512322
the cartoon is nice and all but y'know that someone is gonna bitch and nitpick about this in the tread for some reason
I've seen couple of episodes years ago. I felt like creators managed to capture spirit of Mr. Bean and what I've seen was decent.
>>85512322
I've never seen this and I don't like Mr. Bean, so I'm going to be this guy >>85512709
Who could successfully convince Eustace to get out of his chair?
Cosgrove tells him to cut it out.
> I am never leaving this chair.
You, old man with the newspaper, stand up and leave town.
... why isn't he moving?
So I'm catching up and I just finished watching this episode. Does pearl ever get over this rose shit? It's getting pretty old now.
>>85512053
She's gone from complete breakdown to lamenting, so I say there's been some progress.
>>85512053
This is supposed to be her starting to get over it, pay attention
>>85512053
>pearl's emotional trauma from a 6000 year old relationship ending after she got mega cucked
>getting old
This is probably one of the most enjoyable parts of the show to me. Every pearl grief episode is fucking phenomenal. She keeps getting better all the time. This is one of her personal biggest turning points, considering she became friends with Greg.

>“Supergirl turns to the shadowy organization known as the D.E.O. (Department of Extranormal Operations) to restore her lost powers once and for all! But as a fateful experiment sends Kara Zor-El rocketing toward the sun, disaster strikes at home in the form of the lost Kryptonian werewolf Lar-On! All the epic action of the brand new Supergirl series starts here!”
For fans that have been introduced to Supergirl through her show on CBS (now on The CW), is this comic a bit of a mash-up between that universe and the comic universe? If you're a fan of the TV show you're going to come in and see characters you recognize but not necessarily in roles you're familiar with, right?
>STEVE ORLANDO: Yeah, I think that that's true. We like to lead with the comics. I think it's an interesting magic trick that the show has done because it gets everything right, it just understands Supergirl. You'll see National City, you'll see Cat Grant, you'll see the Danvers. What we're really digging into, with the show on top of everything else, is what the character of Supergirl means. What she stands for: the hope, the positivity, the never giving up.
But Rebirth is not a reboot, so this version of Supergirl is one that was already in the new 52. Correct? She is just being repositioned and reintroduced.
>STEVE: Absolutely, she is the same character we have seen but, just like you said, its a re-positioning. It's getting her into that classic mode. New readers can find out why she’s great and long time fans will welcome her back.
I like how that organization's name sounds.
Were you at all nervous about taking on Supergirl? You’ve written other things for DC Comics, but Supergirl is pretty iconic.
>STEVE: I am. I think that's the way it should be. I was intimidated and it should be intimidating. Anytime you are writing a character with an ’S’ on their chest you're picking up something that means so much to people. It is one of the most recognizable symbols worldwide and it's just a huge legacy to be a part of. It's a huge responsibility to be a part of. Especially Supergirl. She has been an icon for so many people and meant so much to so many people. I see that when I meet readers, talking to me about how they are waiting for the series and TV shows. It’s intimidating. You want to give them what they have been asking for. At the same time, you want to say something new with the character. It's exciting because it's a chance to show why that ’S’ is important. Why Kara is important and why she is unique in the DC Universe.
Is it just me, or are most female hero counterparts shit tier?
I mean, I don't have a problem with well established comic female characters such as Wonder Woman, Black Widow, Cat woman, Poison Ivy, Elektra, etc. In fact, I love those characters.
But characters like Supergirl, Spidergirl, Gwenpool, Batgirl, Hawkgirl, etc. make me cringe when I hear their names.
literally the only bad one you listed is Batgirl though
Babs was FAR superior when she progressed into Oracle and for some reason DC keeps trying to stray away from that. And yeah I'll say it, it was Felecity tier writing when they "fixed" her
Female characters are just always awful.
Post your favorite pages/moments from comics here. Let's see some excellence.
Heathcliff sees the birds surround Big Bird.
>>85511490
Fuck yes, now that's the Heathcliff I know and love. Look at how fucking hype that bird in the bottom right is. That's literally me.
>>85511490
I have lurked these threads so much to where I no longer have much expectations, but tell me this is shooped. Right?
Hey it's Franklin! Coming over to your house.
>>85511429
I hope he's not bringing the ghosts of Gamera's slain enemies with him again.
>>85511429

Shut the fuck up Bear!
Moon Knight is really badass
Would you be interested in a Moon Knight/Punisher team up story? (Yes I'm aware they've crossed paths before but I'm talking something new)
Also Moon Knight vs Batman, who do you put your bets on?
>>85511237
>MOON PUNISHER
who would even stand up to those guys
>MKvB
Moonie, because he's Batman but he's not even squeamish about killing

>>85511237
>mfw a flash thread and moon knight thread in the same night
>>85511237
As long as it happens in one of their ongoings and isn't given it's own book then sure that'd be great.
>first half is promising
>second half is total garbage
What other movies do this?

It still hurts
