Well the art is a big part of what makes it classic.

New art would look cool at first, but over the course of the story it'd lose its novelty so there's really no point.

What you posted there looks great and all, but I don't need an entire issue of that.

Anyway people who are unable to "deal" with "old" art should just kill themselves. The same with mongoloids who won't watch old movies or play old games. I can't even imagine how much of a braindead simpleton you have to be to think that way.

IIRC Batman's favorite superhero is Alan Scott, but I don't know about Superman.

A few tips:

* Keep in mind and always strongly consider the visual aspect of the comic medium.

* write, edit, rewrite, and finish projects. this is general writing advice.

* pay close attention to comics and movies and books (basically any storytelling medium) and notice the things you like, don't like, want to copy, want to experiment with, etc. Doing this, you become a smarter writer and editor, with a deeper knowledge/understanding of yourself (extremely essential to any creative endeavor) Again, general writing advice, but always useful.

Opinions are very mixed on season two. It depends if you like character-based or plot-based seasons.

That's WHY they keep having problems. But you can write a guy like that well if you accept that issue and mostly have them dealing with street level stuff. It's not HARD, they just don't do it. They insist on putting him in ridiculous situations.

Even when it is penny ante stuff it's still silly because he can be a bit of a boy scout.

Compare with Yeoman in Wild Cards, who is like the Punisher with a bow, but more focus and common sense.

For me it is the Joker. Intelligent, nihilistic, and with a wicked sense of humor.

Issues #1 and #2 are OK.

Issues #3 #4 and #5 are really good. #5 is one of my favourite early Superman takes ever.

Issues #6 and #7 are OK again. Weirdly Landis kinda misses Lobo's voice, he doesn't write him too well.

By 'OK' I think I actually mean slightly bad, but some of that is just gonna be because in general I don't like Landis' style very much. I think Green Valley is pretty fucking terrible, for instance. So I'm rating it up slightly on the basis your personal taste is probably different.
