Alan Moore complains about how kids aren't as intellectually superior as kids were when he was a kid.
>>87988227
Given that generation spawned him they can't be that smart.
>>87986897
I just read this the other week
What a trip
And I don't mean a good one
Such a step down from Volume 2.
I don't think it was Moore yelling about kids.
LXG was always about co-opting fiction of the era, using Harry Potter makes perfect sense.
It's probably the biggest literary phenomenon of 2000s so far
>>87988051
Alan Moore makes Harry Potter fan-fiction where Harry is the anti-Christ
>>87988227
And don't forgetElectric dick Harry Potter being killed by God Mary Poppins.
It made me laugh like a moron, but it was still preachy as fuck.
>>87988330
YOU FUCKING ASSHOLES! DON'T MAKE STORIES ABOUT CHARACTERS I MADE!....B-But it's okay when I do it. Pls buy.
>>87988330
Behold!
>>87988315
>>87988383
This makes me want to write a League story without Moore's permission where that Harry Potter was Malfoy or some other bullshit.
>>87988421
What about if Voldemort was a hippy?
>Moore uses his fame and name in order to create a comic and give new gens triggers and reality checks
>People get violently triggered
>Gets acclaimed for that
>To the next project!
>>87988511
It's sad how much Moore doesn't get it.
>>87988371
>Moore makes comics about Rowling's characters
>Rowling still retains ownership and only her stories are the "real" stories
>DC makes comics about Moore characters
>DC still retains ownership and only their stories are the "real" stories
Learn the difference. Moore is upset about the ownership rights of his characters, not that stories are made about them.
For example, he never complains about Constantine, because he created Constantine with the full knowledge that he wouldn't own Constantine. It's not like Watchmen where he was tricked out of ownership.
>>87988621
>To the next project!
I know right, that fishplant Lovecraft porn ain't gonna write itself.
>>87988621
I don't think anyone is acclaiming LXG Volume 3
I don't think anyone really cared
>>87988706
Are you trying to say that Providence is a bad comic?
Have you read Providence?
>>87988706
It's funny because he wanted to trigger Lovecraft nerds, basically saying they are afraid of sex, just like Lovecraft himself
People still mad to this day
>>87988741
...it's a joke, calm down.
>>87988741
He's talking about Neonomicon, which wasn't nearly as good (Providence and Jerusalem are the only properly good things he's written in years, desu)
>>87988742
Making something bad and the claiming you're triggering people because they think it's bad is not winning
>>87989723
Someone shoud tell marvels editorial that.
>>87990964
No!
We need more white male heroes turned black and/or female
Shitposting aside, I kinda want to go full SJW like the 90s did with extreeeeeme edge.
Just so we can look back and laugh
>>87988294
That sound alike version of Sympathy For The Devil was possibly the most entertaining part.
>>87988511
>>87988629
He's not Voldermort, he's fictional Alister Crowley. Crowley the Satanist in the 1900s, then he's Rock and Roll being the Devil's Music in the 60s, and then he's Voldermort in Harry Potter because JK Rowling was trying to make kids worship Satan. Century's got a lot of shit in it, but don't misconstrue one of the genuinely clever things in it.
>>87988330
That at least is consistent with Mary Poppins' usual MO.
>>87988742
The only thing holding Neonomicon back was the horribly mishandled references and aspects of the Mythos.
Providence proves that adding sexuality to the stories can work in the way Moore wanted.
>>87992816
He was "Tom Marvel (Conundrum)" in the 60s
Voldemort was Tom Marvelo Riddle.
He was Crowly but he reincarnated into Voldemort
>>87988657
>and only their stories are the real stories
He never created Swamp Thing, and all of the Watchmen were just rip-offs of pre-existing DC characters anyway, half of which die.
>>87988742
>basically saying they are afraid of sex
But I have a girl friend, and I'm not afraid of sex....Either you're projecting, or Alan Moore really is a simple man.
>>87992930
Nah, Moore has gone on record basically stating his intent was to show the viscera of the stories.
Which goes against the whole atmosphere Lovecraft is known for, but Providence shows that it can work.
It's not really at the heart of Neonomicon's shittiness.
>>87992930
Moore never said that he should have ownership of Swamp Thing.
Why did you bring up Swamp Thing?
Are you high or drunk or something?
What's wrong with you?
