If you get one of those food-centric always begging dogs, they will get a taste if they want it.
I had one dog, spaniel, would eat banana bites, apple bites, watermelon, anything. But, there was this trusting kind of aspect to it, and you could kind of tell when they didn't like it, they would chew funny like the texture was surprising. If they didn't like it, they wouldn't beg the next time, but they never once spit anything out.

My parrots eat anything at all, from chicken to spaghetti. Oranges, watermelon and grapes are the biggest favorites. They tip back their heads and squeeze juice straight down the throat. The macaw makes a happy noise reaction with each bite.

I like to freeze grapes and give them to my pup in the summer as a cool treat

DO NOT DO THIS. GRAPES ARE TOXIC TO DOGS.

I've got a cockatiel, and she generally prefers veggies over fruits, no idea why. But she does like the occasional banana.

Food is fuel. You get picky about what you put in the tank, your engine is gonna die.
23 posts and 2 images submitted.
>>
it's literally the opposite
>>
This analogy is terrible. Until recently, using the wrong Octane was terrible
>>
>>9038069
Wrong, if you use shit fuel your fuel lines get clogged up and the internals of the engine can get all fucked up, if you use too low octane the engine gets fucked.

Hey guys, I started going to culinary school this year and decided to buy my own knife instead of using the old worn out and always being used knives the class has. I like the feel and weight of this knife, but my dad says that its too thick to be a chefs knife and how his cousin who went to culinary school had to return his knife because it was thick like mine. Is he right? Should I return it and get a slimmer one? Or is it normal and my dad is sperging out?

The spine thickness is irrelevant for the VAST majority of uses. Lets see the blade profile and the cutting edge.
>>
op i dont have any educaiotn in knives or cutting except for this lil bit ill explain real quick

couple years ago i weebed out hard. real hard. watched this entire series of documentaries on japan (japanology its good id recmmoend it) and i remember it saying something about knives nothin bout what ur sayin but it said single bevel leaves cleaner cuts. so if i were u id get a single bevel. i also believe it could possibly BE thinny just from the shape of th bevel cos the double bevel sorta goes OUT

Finger for scale, I'm more on the skinny side, if it helps.
Other view of the knife.
I know its probably not the "best" quality but it was what I could afford and it feels nice, the other ones were too light for my taste

Have you ever had "belt noodles"?

I found some ambiguously Japanese/Chinese hole-in-the-wall place near me that sells soups containing them. Big signs advertising "hand-pulled noodles."

They're kind of neat but also difficult to eat and I'm not sure I understand the appeal.

Just looks like a fat tagliatelle. Why was it hard to eat? What was the texture? Were the really handpulled because those are usually round?

White bread vs Wholegrain bread

My boyfriend keeps buying wholegrain bread because it's healthier than white bread.
Is it actually healthier than white bread if I have to toast it to make it edible?
13 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
yes

white grain bread is essentially sugar
>>
>>9037247
Yes. Eat less refined grains in general, anon
>>
>>9037247
Not as much as Dr. Oz fucks would be telling you.

One is bleached flour. One is (no fuckaround) harvested flour. The second is better for your shit-tubes, and has more nutritional value, but that's arguable in the gestalt of bread unless you subside it like a starving winter Russian.

Are spicefags the worst cancer of food?
>whoooa look at how cool i am i burn my tongue to the point of not being able to taste the shitty food Ming Ling has cooked

Some chinese or indian peasant probably only had a fuckton of expired meat left, so to not die of hunger he disinfected it with literal pepper spray and then ate it. i bet genghis chan rolled in and after raping the peasant's family made him feed him so the peasant decided to get the last laugh and give him the spicy filthy meat which tasted like shit but because gengis didn't sperg out in public all the generals took it to mean that spice was the cool shit.
And here we are 1000 years later and you eat chinese mahjong or indian curry, very spicy so that your sense of taste is burned away and you can actually tolerate the """cuisine""" these countries produced.

Capsacian releases endorphins, which enhance the eating experience. Once you're conditioned to a basic level of spice (which you, with your sour grapes, obviously are not) it becomes a tolerance where the level can ramp up.

That being said, even the biggest "hot-head" will admit that it's more about taste over heat.

He's going all out with that bait lads. Misspelling Ghengis Khan on purpose was a nice touch, but the "chili peppers are disinfectant" bro-science was just too much. Let's see if any anons bite.

>>9037147
Oh! There's one! He actually took the bait!
>>
I had these spicy "green Thai peppers" someone gave me that I didn't know what to do with. Cut a couple up and threw them in a chili verde I was making. Big mistake. Just overpowered everything else.
