was boiling eggs yesterday evening, forgot them in the bowl in the cold water, are sitting there for ~16 hours, shall I throw them out once I get back home or are they OK?
Eggs are never okay.
Just eat them. I leave food out in room temperature all the time during summer then I fall asleep and eat it when I wake up. Been doing it for years and no problems so far.
I never throw away food unless it has visible mold or rancid smell tbqh

I do that a lot. They are fine.
Smell it. Your sense of smell has been evolved for millions of years and will tell you when it's bad to eat something. If it does you can still eat it after boiling the shit out of it.
hard boiling eggs are a way to preserve them, you goddamn box of rocks
Do you also throw oranges out because they sat on the counter overnight?
It's in a sealed, protected container underwater. THey're fine.
Have none of you celebrated Easter? Eggs are fine even 2 days if they're hard boiled.

Don't eat them! I did the same thing a few weeks ago and my stomach was hurting like hell for 2 whole days and I had liquid shit. They were tasty and I didn't notice anything weird. So be careful and throw them out.
