This is an urgent situation. I need your immediate help.
I want to make some spaghetti, yet I have no sauce.
I also have limited ingredients. Pretty much just the pasta, some garlic powder, some beef which I will craft the meatballs from, onions and ketchup; and some various spices I have laying around.
I know it won't be the best, but I need to know how to turn this ketchup into something that might vaguely resemble proper spaghetti sauce.
I have tomato juice, but I don't think that would work quite as well as ketchup.
I am very hungry, please help.
Use a mixture of tomato juice and ketchup for your sauce, and then kill yourself.

How will I enjoy my spaghetti if I am dead?

There's no way this is going to be an enjoyable experiencec

Do you own one of these?
On what foods/recipes do you use it?
I can't find many practical uses for it

used them when I was working at starfucks. usually just flavored whipped creams is pretty much the go to for this. Find a quality syrup to use when doing it

Hey guys, /lit/ here, have an opportunity of a lifetime here to intern at a publishing house and the focus for my work there will be on cookbooks.
If you had to write a cover letter and mention in just a few brief sentences that you have an interest in food, how would you say it?

The Zimzam/Bourdain war has gotten physical.
Choose your side now, or perish!
I pick Bourdain, he used to be a junkie so he knows loads of shady people willing to do a lot for little compensation, if any.
>zimzam
You talking about George Zimmerman?
>>7102745
Obviously not.
What's the story here? Fill us in, bro.
Fuck guys I'm sweating, what the fuck do I order here?

at least dominos is always acceptable.
Chin up. Try again next time.
The first step to getting good at something is to suck at something. A trick that helped me to improve is to stop saying things are just bad, think about what made it bad and learn how to not do it again. Were your gnocchis too soggy? too hard? was the sauce watery or salty? did the spices you use just no go well together?
Try to pinpoint what went wrong and how to avoid it next time.

>shit days are shit
If you fail again, follow the recipes and try again.
Yo /ck young cook here
Mother always fucks up the turkey so im cooking it this year so I was wondering if brining is wise or not.
>>7102680
Depends on how she fucks it up. Brining is a nice cushion against overcooking, so if her turkey is always dry and overcooked it could help. Other problems like undercooking, improper thawing, wrong heat in the oven, etc--won't help at all.
>>7102680
You can skip it if you use a thermometer and know you're the one cooking and aren't gonna over cook it.
>>7102702
My mother always thaws the bird by leaving it to sit at room temperature for 24 hours before she cooks it, then she over cooks it drying it out like a desert. I take one bite and start choking like I'm being strangled.
So my mom made pick related for my kid sister cause she heard from her friend that kids liked it. Like what the fuck /ck/ I thought this was a joke why the fuck are moms who barely know how to use smartphone even know this is a thing? My mom even told me the "recipe" for making this shit. Seriously what the fuck man.
>>7102662
>why the fuck are moms who barely know how to use smartphone even know this is a thing?
Well Jimmy, I'm guessing it's because they heard about it from their friends. Just like you already explained.
>>7102662
why do you start your thought with the word "so"? are you retarded? please learn to communicate properly
Tried that like 5 or 6 years ago

Probably a silly question, but can you cook dried squid in a microwave? Will it taste ok?
>>7102637
i really doubt it
>>7102637
Well, given that there's no water in dried squid I'd say that it would probably not cook very well in a microwave. You knew that microwaves work by heating water molecules, right?
>>7102637
Eat it raw like jerky. Don't know why you'd want to microwave it, that would probably be nasty
