Ashens did a video on this and almost vomited
They are fine for stews and soups. Bunch of cry babies. "That looks yucky"
What are your go-to/most commonly eaten snack foods, drinks, casual foods, etc?
currently on a popcorn binge the past few days
Crab legs

I know I shouldnt, but the SweetTart Ropes are just great. Been buying them too much
I can't get enough of these.
Hey, /ck/.
I'm a big fan of Scotch Whiskey (Single Malt, Blended, Irish) and I love finding and tasting new ones. I have a small collection of finished bottles, boxes and cylinders as keepsakes and mental checkmarks.
That said, I feel like it's really difficult to get to the level where I can really learn about and discuss scotch intelligently. I'm perceptive enough that I can usually pick out flavors and tones, especially if they're printed on the container, but I'd love to be able to have real discourse with a community of enthusiasts.
Does anybody know of anywhere like that or how to find such a community?
Scotch General by the way. Feel free to give recommendations.

so recently i discovered i am really into coca cola with added ice cubes and i would like to make these bad boys at home
what's the best way to make them?
should i put water into the freezer at really really low temperature so the cubes are done faster or should i do it at a higher temperature so it takes longer for ice to compose? which ice is better quality and goes better with coke?
or should i just buy branded ice cubes? in that case, which ones are the best? store near my home has iceman ice cubes and readyice ice cubes.
>>7508510
Wow.
This is the most worthless post I've ever seen here. Asking how to freeze water.
I like where this ghread is going
Best way to make homemade ice is to set it somewhere with some slight agitation constantly applied to it. That's how the name brands do it!
i want 2 give papa johns a 2nd chance
but
idk how 2 explain the bottom crust of 2 of the slices of pizza being like missing or the same consistency of bread i dont get it
same consistency as cheese
does anyone know how this might've happened? like imagine the bottom crust of 2 slices of the pizza basically being missing / is cheese.
the other gross thing about the order was at least kind of explainable, there was nasty ass vomit looking stuff on pizza box, but explanation was that the butter or sauce or whatever dripped to the pizza box from the garlic rolls box

I like it when they call me BIG PAPA!
I am staying with family and they have a deep frier. Give me the best, easy things to fry.
I don't care about health, this is a one time thing.
>pic related my cart so far
Also what goes good in wontons
>>7508465
My store has frozen battered mushrooms that are great for deep frying. You can also use biscuit or croissant dough to make doughnuts then roll them in cinnamon and sugar
>>7508465
Buy some frozen mozzarella sticks
>>7508474
Great idea
I've come to the conclusion that just about everyone, regardless of diet, and regardless of lifestyle, tends to have a food that they eat that they're a little ashamed about. Whether it's because of how unhealthy it is or how "terrible" it is or because it's something a 6 year old would eat. So what's yours? No need to be ashamed, it's just food.
I have a few but these are probably the worst. For those that aren't familiar, Vienna sausages are basically little hot dogs in vinegar in can. They're very obviously super low-grade meat, and are often a little gritty, like a super cheat hot dog.
I know they're absolutely awful, and they feel like pure cancer when you eat them but for whatever reason they're still appetizing to me, probably because my dad ate them when I was a kid. I don't eat them much any more, maybe one can every few months if that, but I'll always have a soft spot for them.
What about you guys? What do you like to eat that makes you feel a little bad about yourself?
>>7508444
I always keep a few cans around for when I'm too drunk to cook anything
>>7508444
Arby's roast beef sandwhiches with that super cheap cheese they use. Hands down my favorite fast food sandwich
>>7508455
Dude, there's nothing wrong with a beef and cheddar, fuck the haters.
I'm super pissed they took the Big Montana off the menu, that was the perfect sandwich. It had like twice as much beef as the "max", it was so big they had to put it in a baked potato container.
That cheese sauce is weird though, you know it's cheap and it would taste like shit on anything else but damn it's good on a beef and cheddar.
How would you improve this sandwich, /ck/?
MORE MAYO
Remove that disgusting glob of mayo and replace it with pepper and oil/vinegar
why the FUCK is the mayo even there?
fuck it
So /ck/ I've decided that I want to learn how to make me some sushi as a gaijin.
Not exactly sure where to start. My biggest problem is that I live in the ass end of nowhere in the Midwest where getting materials and tools is somewhat difficult. What constitutes culture around here is meth, shotguns, and bud lite.
I've been trying to research and apparently there is a such thing as sushi grade fish? I haven't tried to make any rolls yet. I started out making something simple and learned how to make Onigiri (which isn't sushi, I know)
Should I try to make rolls and just substitute something like cooked tuna or other fish?
In this part of the country finding awesome steak is a short drive to the butcher or even local grocery store but I think it'd be kind of suspect to try it with grocery store salmon/ect.
Do I just live somewhere where it's not possible?
>>7508395
Move to New York then and suck a Jew Dick.
i just made sushi at home yesterday. i also life in a country where i'm always suspicious about "fresh fish". what i do is slightly sear the fish (usually i get tuna and salmon), just so i can make sure it was heated once. or i just make sushi that might not be authentic. i put in shrimps, smoked salmon and tamagoyaki (japanese omelette, see pic). i like avocado, carrots and cucumbers in it too. the rolling is pretty easy, you an absolutely do this OP!
>>7508408
oh, and you don't really need all that fancy stuff op. i made my rice in a simple pan, with a normal spoon and no wooden bowl. turned out perfectly. you just need a rolling mat. but i know i have used those place sets that look similar to bamboo mats to roll sushi...
I understand country gravy. I do not understand brown gravy. Please help. I am experimenting. Where does it go?
>>7508357
>pic related
>your pic
On mashed potatoes you tard.
>>7508357
What don't you understand? You mix starch with fatty meat drippings over heat = brown gravy.
Loco moco and poutine.
Also whatever the fuck you roasted up in order to make the gravy from...
So I wanted to make Chili.
My dilemma is I normally used ground beef, but have none. I do have pic related. Has anyone ever used sausage instead? How does it compare?
What kind of beans are you using? You need special beans for sausage chili
>>7508319
I haven't ever tried that. I imagine it would be OK but nothing great due to the seasonings. That stuff is fairly strongly seasoned with sage, and sage doesn't really match with Chili all that well.
>>7508321
All other ingredients the same. Kidney beans.
I'm in San Antonio for a bit and I'd like some suggestions on restaurants to go. I'm planning on going to magnolia pancake haus, but thats all I got so far. I've heard Texas has good viet food?
>>7508259
Texas is a big state
>>7508259
Anime Pizzeria, only the dankest of restaurants in the SA, ese.
>>7508270
I thought about that, but I don't think I wanna drag a family member there. It also looks like some of the worst food I could possibly get here.
>try 2 teaspoons of this
>steep for 4 minutes
>add sugar/milk
>there is almost no taste whatsoever
What the fuck? Is this just bad tea?
>add sugar/milk
>to tea
Think I found your problem, OP.
>>7508211
Adding sugar and milk to tea is like adding milk to cereals. They belong together.
>>7508211
>doesnt know that black tea is usually enhanced by sugar/milk
need to bring a side dish to easter, anyone have a good recipe/idea?
some kind of dip
Bring a bag of ice lol that's what I do
>>7507994
What a fucking moron.
Bring TWO bags of ice.
passed out last night, woke up to this on the counter. apparently i didn't get around to eating it.
think it's still good?
Yes.
Heat in oven, eat.
Does it smell fine? If yes, take a small bite. If it tastes fine, it's fine.
Protip: this works with all foods
