To people who don't drink soda or alcohol, what do you drink?
I want to give up soda but drinking water with everything is awful so far.
Sorry for being born an Amerifat.
Water
Milk
Juice
Smoothies

If you're too much of a baby to handle drinking water, then unsweetened tea is also acceptable.
I've picked up drinking flavored seltzer water in place of my afternoon beer.
Somewhere along the line, I realized that I was enjoying the carbonation of beer and soda enough that using it on water was enough to let me enjoy it.
>"I won't eat this because only kids eat this."
Is there a more pretentious reason to not eat a certain food?
there is a reason only kids eat it. this is the underlying message behind that statement.
That's not pretentious. Kid food is designed for a child's undeveloped sense of taste.
Pretentious would be, "I think that type of food is yucky so everyone else must too, and they're all just pretending to enjoy it".
>I won't eat this because only kids eat this
>I won't watch this movie because only kids watch this movie
>I won't play this game because only kids play this game
>I won't allow myself to enjoy this, because only kids are supposed to enjoy this, and I'm a big people now.
You put cheese in your ramen right? This is le pepperjack, it adds dairy benefit spice and acts as a thickening agent to give a creamy broth
Oh yeah thats cheesayyyy
Hail chee-sar lol
Is this actually any good? Someone give me the report
I want ot make some nice pho. I can never get the meat to taste good.
How should I season the meat? For how long? Should it just season in the pho? I seen some places where the cook the meat ahead of time and then drop it in. What do you do? I want to make some for dinner today. Its 4am here.
Step 1: Acquire an old Vietnamese grandmother
Step 2: MSG
That shit takes forever dude, just buy it from a legit viet place. If you have that much time for a broth anyway, make Japanese tonkotsu broth instead
what's /ck/'s beverage of choice?
grapefruit is superior
You know what's goop

So fecking delicious. Wish it wasn't so expensive, worse than freaking energy drinks or iced tea in some stores.
Do you think The Whopper is an appealing burger?
no it taste like disinfectant
It isn't as good as a Wendy's burger and lacks the weird addictive properties of McDonald's.
>>7569119
It's just "meh".
I have 5 pounds of russet potatoes, and no money to eat anything else for the next couple days. How do I make the most of this?
When you say no money do you mean that if you buy anything you'll be in the negatives? Because if you've got a couple of bucks you can go buy a big bag of cheese from walmart and make enough potato gratin to last you a couple of days.
If not, go to your nearest fast food restaurant and steal as many ketchup packets as you can, then either chop them up to bake in the oven as fries or boil them.
>>7568903
Just boil them, mash them, stick a stick of butter in them with some milk, and there you go.
I could maybe get a back of shredded cheese with some quarters I have laying around, but yeah, broke. I have some sandwich meat (turkey), some brown rice, a dozen eggs, a serving of raspberry yogurt, mustard and soysauce
This shit is so fucking disgusting. It has the texture of mucus and a flavor that I can't help but compare to vomit. I love Greek yogurt and accidentally bought this because i saw it was on sale. What a fucking mistake.
Can anyone recommend me a use for this shit so I don't have to throw it away?
>>7568657
Poo in loo chicken.
strain it through some paper towels in the fridge for an hour, wala greek meme yogurt
>>7568657

Crispy or soft?
Crispy
Burnt

What's the secret to a great burger /ck/?
American cheese
>>7565079
Well seasoned and a nice crust while still being juicy on the inside.
>>7565087
Ingredients pal I need a recipe.
/ck/, I need help. I'm trying to learn how to poach eggs, and I'm running into this problem. The eggs fall down to the bottom (because gravity), and then they stick to the bottom of the saucepan and start frying (pic related).
How can I prevent this without using silicone pouches or something? I want to cook five or six at a time, so using stuff like that isn't worth the overhead.
>>7571682
y-you need water in the pot
turn the heat up
>>7571691
kek
Thanks, anon. That laugh helped me feel less retarded.
>>7571694
Is that all? Maybe simmering is really my problem...
I'm trying to learn a bunch of recipes from gordon ramsay and marco pierre white and they use so much oil and butter and fat it makes me worry I'll become fat.
Is the caloric intake much worse after you cook in oil? Nothing is deep fried or flat out unhealthy but it's like every step requires a really good drizzle of olive oil.
>>7571480
yes. if you cook with two sticks of butter and a half bottle of oil every day expect to be a fatass.
they don't eat like that every day/meal.
>>7571510
but where do I learn to make really tasty shit without this amount of oil? I know the british use a lot of fat in general too but goddamn.
>>7571480
Yeah, they do use a lot of oil/butter, but if you pay attention you'll see that most of stays behind in the pan rather than in your food. You only consume a fraction of the amount of oil used.
Hello /ck/. Can somebody tell me why it's a meme to hate on blue cheese? There is nothing objectively better than boneless buffalo wings with a blue cheese dip. That is a legitimate fact.
>inb4 somebody says "bleu cheese" like a faggot
>>7569070
that dressing is basically ranch with some blue cheese powder op. you objectively don't have anything intelligent or even basic to say about food and that is a fact.
>>7569070
>nothing objectively better than boneless buffalo wings with a blue cheese dip
There's objectively nothing wrong with bleu cheese dressing. If there's any food that's actually a meme, it's boneless chicken "wings".
>>7569079
Calm down there memester. It's just a pic I found on google images. Legit blue cheese has big chunks the size of a 2x2 lego piece.
I present to you: a perfect pizza.
Perfect in every way.
>no toppings
2/10
lack of fucking toppings
What do you eat while you are drinking?
I always ate dried squid or caviar when I was drinking.
>>7568085
Cool story bro
>>7568085
Never had dried squid, they don't sell it up my way, it sounds delicious though.
>>7568091
They don't sell it most places in the U.S.. Mostly Russian or Japanese speciality stores. I go to a Russian store to buy both
