I'm looking for a nonstick ceramic skillet that can withstand high temperatures on the stove top. Does such a thing exist? I've had trouble finding one.
>>7567969
just use a regular pan for fucks sake
>ceramic
Meme material
>>7567975
Is it really? The reason I'm looking is my aunt visited me recently and made me promise to throw away my regular nonsticks, and she didn't like my stainless steel pans.
who /crispy/ here?
after much experimentation this week and despite preferring my meat on the rare side across the board, I have decided I am firmly on team crispy.
I want this shit so dried out its like a cracker
Bacon is supposed to be fried in it's own fat until crispy.
This new craze of baking it in the oven and thinking easier=better is ridiculous, not to mention yuros attempts at "bacon".
>>7567658
you can still bake it till it's crispy too
>yuros attempts at "bacon".
that's a different type and is completely valid as well
>>7567667
as my friend once said "after visiting america I always get excited when I see bacon on a menu, but then I remember it's just a slice of ham"
Is there an alcoholic version of orange juice?
>>7565625
add vodka and you've got a screwdriver.
Yes it's called pruno.
freeze dry oranges
blend together freeze dried oranges and vodka
now centrifuge the vodka
boom alcoholic orange juice
I picked up these bags of frozen fruit at a mexican market and I don't really know what to do with them.
Does anybody know how to eat these or what dishes to make with them with?
What other impulse buys have you made at the store lately?
I bought this replacement for a black pepper. Its a little smaller ball than black pepper and is mostly red in color but has lighter colors too.
I forget what its called but something like Tsipiphberry or tsiphiphery or something. I can't find the name. Any help??? I threw out the package and its spelling is so crazy google doesn't give me any suggestions.
My spice came in a package from France. I put it in a pepper grinder and threw out the packaging...

You can eat them as is, or make them into ice cream.
Nance tastes fucking horrible, but some people like it. The one time I tried Nance ice cream it tasted like feet, but my aunt said it was delicious; so it may be me.
The Aldi I live near had some canned Lychees so I bought that, I'm not really sure what to do with them though. I've only been able to buy Lychee drinks in another state so this is the first time I've had some in fruit form.

What do you put into your tuna salad for tuna salad sandwiches? I usually just mix garlic salt, a lot of black pepper, cayenne powder, and sweet relish into tuna+mayo (I actually use Miracle Whip, it's just what I grew up on) and I always eat it on toasted wheat bread
Tuna mac discussion also permitted
Chopped up vienna sausage for extra protein
My favorite so far is homemade mayo, raw onion, shallot & scallions, hardboiled egg, chives, salt, pepper, lemon juice, worcestershire sauce

You /pol/esmokers all think you're "unique", dropping into /ck/ and asking about le white man cooking le brown man food cultural appropriation argument, obviously this is a really popular meme in tumblr or whatever.
Please try to understand, we've been getting these threads about every three days for the last month, and while it may seem like new and fresh humor to you, it's tiresome to us.
Hi /ck/, can you please help me out?
My gf's and my 5th "anniversary" is coming up and I thought I'd cook her something really nice that I haven't cooked for her before. I don't have a lot of experience cooking but I can make some basic meals from scratch. Mainly I have trouble with gravy and I'm unsure about how to prepare meat aside from "throw it in a pan until it's well-done".
Thing is I basically have to cook it he day after I arrive home from a work trip meaning I'll have time to buy basic iingredients but no time to marinate anything.
I was going to try making meat loaf but my mom made one for us last weekend so I'm not sure about that. do you have any other ideas? I live in Germany, if that matters.
Pork should be avoided (no, we're not muslims, she just doesn't usually like the taste) as should curry (I dislike it).
how'd that duck make tire tracks
>>7566974
take her to coldstone
First of all cake. Woman love cake and anything with shugar in it.
You can make one easy day before. Get a heart shaped pan for sponge cake and frosting can be store bought or make some yourself from cream cheese and whipping cream. In case you end up to tired to make anything cake and champagne saves the day. Also cook syrup (water and shugar) and drench cake layers with it to keep moist. Store in cake bell to avoid fridge like taste. All done in advance (maybe with help of your mother) and will please any female.
Second pasta or salad. No cooking skills required for pasta except of ability to set a timer. Salad is easy peasy. Grilled chicken salad for example. Also females enjoy "healthy" meals.
Third wine. Or champagne. It's a celebration and good excuse to buy something nice. White chilled, red at room temperature.
And last not least strawberry lube.
Recently tried Jamies perfect roast chicken recipe (lemon, thyme, garlic), turned out great. I want to try some other some other recipes/methods of cooking a whole chicken in the oven. Share your favourites ITT.

Roasting chicken is pretty expensive where I live. And so are fresh herbs. Nice recipe but...
>>7566720
I just wonder where does she live, usualy a whole chicken is the cheapest meat if you take price per kilo. Fresh herbs can be price for some northen regions, but dried ones are always cheap.
>he still drinks drip coffee
Are you still a plebeian?
>>7566086
You know when people on /ck/ absurdly call things hipster because they don't like popular things? Well, in this case they'd be correct.
>>7566086
wow it looks so convenient and reasonably priced
>>7566110
You know when people on /ck/ absurdly fall for the lowest hanging bait you've ever seen? Well, this would be a case of that.
Just bought some of this. Is it actually better at enhancing flavor than salt, or is it a meme?
Did I just waste my money? Will I die if I eat it?
> Is it actually better at enhancing flavor than salt
no, it's different but equal. you can use it to reduce the salt in your food but it 'enhances' flavour in a different way.
I'm personally not particularly interested in eating any foods without msg added to them
it's a critical component that can make all dishes taste better
What are some international poor/lazy man's dishes?
I'm talking about Nordic porridge, American P&J-sandwishes, Japanese Tamago gohan or ramen, etc. That kinda stuff that are a staple for college kids the world over.
Stew is the classic I have better shit to do meal. In the age of the crockpot you can just add the ingredients and go about your business.
>>7565358
At least my college PMF:
Take 1 box of pasta (you usually can get a whole box for $1 on sale. 1.50 off sale)
Two cans Campbell's cream of cheese soup. $3 off sale. $2 on sale)
some milk. Skim it off a gallon if you buy it regularly, or add 1.20 for a small serving size.
Total: $5- $7.50 w/o milk cost. I guess you could use water?? sure why not.
Boil pasta half way (its going to be hard still.). Put into casserole dish.
add 2 cans of cheese sauce and the milk. (like a 16 oz glass or whatever.. I'm not very picky, i just pour it in until it looks like it covers the pasta.
Stir it, put in oven at 350 degrees and cook for about 45 min. to an hour. Basically until the top is golden brown and bubbling around the sides of your casserole dish.
Basic mac and cheese no frills. Not super cheesy or the best, but you can portion about 6 meals out of it for only a less than $10 buy-in.
You can extend it to 10 meals if you portion evenly in 10th's and use 2 pieces of bread to create a mac sandwich. A quick-store sells a loaf for $.99 cents which makes it stretch out a lot longer. most online spaces always have the bread grilled or toasted. I usually don't, just untoasted white bread.
If you eat 2 meals per day, it'll last you 5 days. If you need a 3rd meal, you can use a ten-cent on-sale (usually 25 to 35 cents off sale) pack of ramen to make it.
Or instant mash tatoes. those are economical too. You can even add it into your mac sandwich. 3-carb thrawl ya'll.
Soup is the classic poor man's food imo.
>Chuck a bunch of leftover shit + seasonings into some stock and add heat.
Same goes for any kind of rice-mix dish.
Who knows how to turn beans into damn near the tastiest thing you can eat?
I do. Apologies in advance for the tilted pics.
