Hey, /ck/
Never been to this side of the chan before, but I had a question and thought why the fuck not
I just came into possession of a pound of boiled shrimp. I like shrimp, but not boiled. So I was looking up recipes on how to use it, and I'm wondering if I should cut down on cooking time since they're already cooked or what. I'd like to cook them in the oven so that they aren't so... juicy
>>8802599
Why not try making it into a shrimp skampy pasta dish?
>>8802605
I was thinking about that. There's a bacon shrimp dish with angel hair pasta that looks really good
>>8802599
If they're already boiled you're gonna want to just reheat them. Any more than that and they'll go all tough and chewy. You're pretty much boned.
Getting married and bride would like something like pic related. Do most bakers offer exposed cakes like this? Also, what kind of wedding cake would you like to have at a wedding?
>>8802542
>not going for the classic white
>>8802542
Looks cute. I'm sure any decent bakery would be willing to make something to your specifications.
I'm not a huge fan of the usual white cake + butter cream thing. I don't know what I would get, probably something European, so guests get to try something new hopefully. It's a special day, don't want everyone to have the same copy/paste experience.
I'm a pro baker. That's called a "naked" cake. It's super trendy à la Milk Bar in Brooklyn. I'd do it, of course, but I'd know that your fiancée is a trendy pinterest drone. But whatever.
what are the best ck related smells?
for me it is beurre noisette, especially in baked goods. also babushkas pelmeni, probably just nostalgic and not that appealing to others though.

The tomato paste, garlic and onions I start in the pan for my burrito beans, oh so good.
Onion and garlic sizzling in the pan.
A close second is the smell of fresh baked bread. Not that unleavened pre-made garbage you buy at Krogers but made-from-scratch, fresh out the oven deliciousness.
I'm a simple man. The smell of garlic hitting hot oil is one of my favorites.
what /ck/ think of this new sushi dish in my town?
>>8802235
it's ceviche
Amerifats who want to stuff their faces while driving.
How are any of you still alive?
The mind-boggling fast food mashups just keep coming.
Last month, there was the Taco Bell fried chicken taco shell. Now, KFC’s “Chizza” – combining chicken and pizza – is lighting up the Internet.
KFC Singapore says the Chizza contains “100% chicken fillet,” and pizza toppings like pizza sauce, chicken ham, pineapple chunks, mozzarella and KFC cheese sauce.
Unfortunately for adventurous KFC fans in America, there’s no word on when Chizza might come here.

Why is KD so good?
KD is the logical side dish to tendies, often in fact even better than the tendies. I love KD so much it is the staple of my broke-ass diet, I eat at least 2 of the bowls per meal (4-5 times a day), and happily more if I can afford it.
My parents often try to take me out of the house to eat out on weekends, probably out of disappointment in my diet, I guess it started when I invited them for the first time to my college dorm and I served them some KD from a bowl with a total of around 20 of these packets piled together in a salad bowl.
The best part is that this delicacy is only 1 dollar each.
OP I hope a giraffe sneezes on you and you get some weird disease that makes your cock fall off.
>>8802001
Not everyone is privileged like you to actually afford a nice meal every day, I hope you realize that rich fucks like you will be the first against the wall when the proletariat revolution comes. Everyone will be eating KD as comrades when the day of your rope comes.

Are Italian restaurants the biggest scam in the industry? $20 for a plate of pasta, some bread, and some salad.
>$20 for pasta
Do you live in NJ or go to bad restaurants?
I'm Italian and I think so too. I've never eaten to an Italian restaurant abroad for this very reason
Italian cuisine is the biggest meme in the world. It's all the same and it's all pleb.
Why don't they add vitamins and minerals to Coca-Cola or Pepsi or other cola? Or beer.
Still not healthy, but a harm reduction.
Cost

Real sugar is expensive enough why would they bother making their product more expensive. That's what "energy drinks" are for.
if coke or pepsi had anything besides water + HFCS, restaurants wouldn't be able to buy it for $1 per 2 gallons.
This is unironically the best hotsauce
It may not be popular but it's the best

Why does gas station and 7eleven hotdogs taste like 50 times better than homemade? Theyre so fucking crisp and have an incredible amount of flavor. What's their secret?
ungodly amounts of unpronounceable additives and quadruple the salt
>>8801556
Idk desu but everyone says I'm crazy when I say I'm in the mood for some gas station hot dogs fuck
>>8801556
They're slow-cooked.
