I've been out of high school sense 2012, went to a tech school for a few months during the winter of 2014/2015 studying welding and machining. I've been looking for and applying to job offerings sense 2012 and I'm still unemployed. I've come to the conclusion that there is nothing for me were i live now, so i want to drive to where ever there is demand for what i can provide. I can live out of my car and am willing to do anything outside of murder and sucking dick.
So my question is where in the u.s. demand for labor is highest as well as what kind of labor that is so i can prepare before leave?
pic is some of the material i studied in tech school.

If you havent found a job in 3 years it is YOUR fault, sorry kid. Also you might be dumber than you think you are. It's a tough pill to swallow, I know. But your grammatical errors are very basic words and sentence structures learned around the age of 12 or so, and you fail hard.
God bless.
>>1024510
Dude....You can't just be unemployed for three years. If you can't find a job in this field, and you're fresh out of high school, take up work at a fast food place or something.
>>1024567
>fast food
>something a male gets a job in
I always point out to people I'm with how many businesses are run by all female staff.
I have $5k not really needed for anything at the moment. What should I do with it?
Get your cock sucked.

the time to get in on LMT was 6 years ago
Quick question, is it still better to mail something to a business?
Or should I just email it like everyone else does nowadays?
>>1024438
Email...
No one fucking reads letters anymore, Grampa.
>>1024439
But how employers would rather have you bother them in person for a job to show persistence blah blah...
Doesn't the same rule apply here?
>>1024440
A letter never gets there and it is highly unlikely they will even get to read it.
Email or Call.
This was by far my favorite /biz/ thread some weeks ago. Post real life anecdotes of financial horror stories.
>have younger brother
>uninspired, has fully bought into "living the dream"
>barely has stable employment despite being a qualified electrician
>partner is motivated and has decent job with future though
>both lower to mid 20's
>buys house in new development with minimal deposit and $350,000 bank loan (australian housing bubble)
>no money, garden barely established but buying a $1500 Golden Retriever puppy followed closely by equally expensive Labrador puppy seems the next logic step
>"the dream"
>immediately goes on expensive holiday and proposes to partner
>holiday + ring = more debt
>comes back and quits (gets fired) from sparky work so decides he's going to be a SCAFFOLDER
>has to get married same year of course
>obviously can't afford it, but that's ok just borrow more money
>goes to our single mother wanting to borrow $15,000 cash from her (her life savings) for a fucking wedding
>goes on 2 week cruise for honeymoon (wonder where the money came from)
>already has another holiday booked less than a month after getting back
>will 100% want to have kids in next couple years
All within a year. So lets do the math:
>no stable employment
>$350,000 mortage
>maxed CCs
>2 dogs
>0 savings or investments (my house is an investment huuur)
>more debt from wedding that i dont even want to know about
>100% guaranteed to financially cripple himself with children in near future
>interest rates go up even 2% it'll probably ruin him
>all at the ripe old age of 25
>>1024380
>Brother gets everything he wants and mum bails him out
>I am sensible so get no help
That's all I read
Oh, hey it's the green text repost guy again.
Watch it all work out for him while you live a miserable life.
Hi /biz/,
I know that asking an online anime image board for advice this serious is't such a great idea, but I know there are some legitimately intelligent and experienced people here.
To keep it short; What are the prospects of a finance degree? and what is studying finance like?
I began university as a engineering student - not enjoying it as it felt like the 'path of least resistance' and never have been interested really in engineering. (Parents influence and my naivety)
I've read more books on finance in the past 2 months than I have ever read something engineering related and i've always had an interest in monetary issues and how money runs corporately.
Is it a stupid move? Please help /biz/, its the thoughtful and insightful, helpful posts that inevitably make this board, and any board, worth coming to or other people.
Pic related; a decent book
Anyone that was in a similar position willing to help?

I know nothing about any of this shit and even I ca ntell you that trading is very short term (buy & sell for profit) whereas investing is over a long long period of time to benefit from dividends, and also usually diversified to minimize risk. right??
Hey /biz, what are your thoughts on investing in renewables? It's pretty much guaranteed that we're headed that way, but where do you think the most profit is going to be? Hydro, wind, or solar?
Solar
Trust the Musk
But looking at places like Sweden and Canada, the majority of their renewable energy comes from hydro. Is this because large-scale solar/wind projects haven't been very economical, but new investments can get them out of the lab?
Both wind and solar are only profitable with subsidies. They are limited by not providing power 24/7 and not being able to easily scale the power output to consumption. Hydro and geothermal are only possible in certain areas of the world. If you want to invest in renewables invest in batteries.
To all the posters in this site who trade in shares, what app/site/brokers do you use and which is best? I want try trading, only on a small scale 'cause no idea what I'm doing. Interactive investor seems like it's ok, dunno if others charge less. First time poster long time lurker

wondering this too, this stuff should really be on the sticky
Surprised nobody else has replied, I see guys almost everyday talking about this stuff
Also I'm not in america so can't use robinhood
Would be good if there was a more specific board for this kinda stuff so that it doesn't have to mix with all the shit posting about how to make £££ from nothing
Hey /biz/, I want to be a billionaire, like really really bad. I'm 20 years old living in the USA and it's been my dream since I was like 15 to be filthy rich one day. I used to think I just wanted to go to college than go to Wall Street or go to a top law firm and make good money but idk if that's for me or if it's what I good at and my passion. I want to shoot for the stars and aim for the creme de crop and be a billionaire ( $1 billion in assets and net worth ) , I'm fairly business minded and have decent people skills and am good at analytical and critical thinking stuff and am decent at math and science. I really really want to do all I can so that in 5 or 10 or 15 years I'll be a billionaire or at least close to it. Please help me out /biz/ I need all the advice and assurance I can get to being a billionaire and fulfilling my lifelong dream
If you suck dicks for $1 a pop a billion times, I can guarantee you that you may well realise your dreams.
If you became a billionaire, would you buy all the things you never had?
The "I WANNA BE RICH WITHOUT TRYING WAAAHH" faggots are really out today
My uncle owns a car repair shop and gas station, the gas station portion has a small mart that sells drinks, sunglasses, cigarettes, phone chargers, and junk food.
The current selection of all those items is pretty bad, for instance there is no Arizona iced tea, no sour candy, no American Spirit cigarettes, etc.
I currently work at this place on sundays for extra money, I was thinking of stocking these items myself and selling them here; I'll give my uncle a cut since it is his place.
My only problem is that the place is kinda slow since his station sells gas at a pretty high price compared to the no-name gas station across the street.
What do you guys think of this? I was thinking of selling stuff on ebay but this seems like a better idea to me since I won't deal with ebay fees.
I see people coming in all the time asking for swishers or American Spirits, we just don't have them in stock.
Sorry for the editing, I'm on my shitty phone.
>>1023786
Id say it would be a good idea anon, im sure he wouldn't mind. you would just need to make sure you weren't getting shafted the other 6 days when you weren't there to watch your investment
>>1023797
I trust my uncle, he's been good to me so there is no way he's going to bullshit me when it comes to this. I'm just afraid the items are going to sit and not sell.
Seems like a safer way to make some extra money than fucking around with the Robin Hood app and buying stocks.
Hey /biz/nessmen, I'm a 19 y/o and I come from a family of government workers. It's genuinely afforded me a good lifestyle, but for the average guy to become very wealthy it seems that starting a company is the way to go. The thing is, I'd have no idea where to start or what the nuances of starting a company are, because it requires a specific type of tenacity and creativity that I haven't been exposed to.
So. My question is, what are the biggest hurdles in starting a business and how would someone overcome them? Obviously the situation varies depending on the niche market/ industry/ whatever, but I mean in general terms.
I want to be as prepared as possible, ANY help from people who have started their own successful businesses would be greatly appreciated.
>>1023593
Anybody? fuck
Maybe cliche but you will not put in the effort it takes to create a successful company.
You won't work every day 18 hours a day.
You won't stop playing video games, hanging out with friends, or whatever else you entertain yourself with to wholly pursue this.
The fact that you don't already know the "tenacity and creativity" required tells everything. It's honestly something that you will either have by your age or not.
Feel free to prove me wrong.
Go to college.... And learn something useful.
Hey /biz/ let's share your strangest business ideas you ever had, maybe it can be useful for some. I will tell mine, but I hardly think it's plausible.
So we had a project at college that we needed to come up with a so called "Student enterprise", and make a business plan draft for it.
One of my friends in my group came up with a nice, socially responsible firm:
Let's make instant soups that are nutritious, and in the meantime let's contribute to our local societies.
The idea would be that one of the ingredients would have been produced from the local problematic minorities. These individuals would have been collected from the streets, or from their known locations by our "co-workers" and processed into nutritious instant soup powder.
So this way we would have been able to contribute in a high extent to local societies.
For obvious reasons this idea was discarded and we went with a cider manufacturer that would use supply from local farmlands, but that was far less unique to say the least.
So, what was your strangest business idea?
>Create some shitty pair of sunglasses.
>Give pairs out to a few Stacies and Chads on a college campus.
>Offer them kickbacks of one or two percent per sale if they can sell any.
>Rake in profits because college students are retarded.
>>1023611
It's not really strange, it's just a way of marketing
>>1023591
> nutritious instant soups
I love this idea, but the freeze frying process destroys any nutrition the meal might have.
I always add vegetables to my noodles.
Plot which part of the economic cycle you believe we are in as a global economy.
I'll go first in the next post, will post blank image to allow you to plot too.
>>1023538
Agree
>>1023534
Is there any information as to general timelines for something like this? I've never heard of this cycle before but it makes intuitive sense I suppose.
>>1023538
Disagree. I think we're just a few points past the left 'Peak' in all honesty. Things are stable but have already slowed down noticeably and I think they will continue to do so.
I have a job where I get totally anonymous access to people's checking account information. Could I use this to get/launder? Maybe if I use it to buy Bitcoin? Discuss.
You can use it to go to jail, you fucking retard.
>>1023483
Not with proper execution
>>1023488
>Not with proper execution
Everyone who has committed fraud did so with "proper execution." If you fuck with people's money, don't expect to get away with it forever.
Whenever bitcoin and/or other cryptocurrencies are being discussed, I often see "buy ethereum".
Those of you who understand, can you explain for us why ethereum is worth investing in?

As someone who develops related software, Ethereum is mostly useless. It's fueled by bitcoin hype from people who latch onto buzzwords and don't know what they're talking about.
Yes it's programmable, but the API makes no fucking sense whatsoever and it's pretty limited what you can actually make with it. It's an interesting research project, but beyond that it's not worth getting all worked up over
>>1023361
What about this:
>"Every institution in the city I have spoken to is looking at Ethereum to build their blockchain apps for the next five to 10 years," declared Ethereum communications officer Ken Kappler. "It is basically the only game in town".

I'm just gonna puke it out here. I own 70 EHT.
The hype some weeks back fot me.
