After reviewing the power of compounding interest I would like to take advantage of it.

What would be a good position to take with dividends in mind? google search shows high yielding (over 50%) from Sandridge Mississippian Trust $SDT and $SDR.
Are there better options? are these risky?

I don't understand what you're asking exactly.
Are you looking for a high dividend yield or are you looking to earn interest on your money?
>>
better use dividend ETF because trusting money in only one growing company is risky

If you want to compound then get a growth stock duh

There are a lot of resturants and companies in my area who have a decent client base, but no online presence. Im thinking to offer them a webpage and host it for them. It´ll be really easy to create a webpage, since ill be using wordpress. Do you guys think this will work?

Sounds like they're doing fine. Why do they need you?

Because they dont have a webpage, and a webpage can boost their sales.

It's 2016 and they don't have a website?

>How will people make reservations?

It's a good idea Op, just be careful to not charge too much or make it too shitty

You owe money to a group of assassins who will kill you if you don't pay them back.

Luckily, you stumble upon $5,000 and have to turn it into the most amount of money in a year, but lose any due to risk, and you wont have enough to prevent your death.

What method do you choose to raise cash?

Let's say my GPA and LSAT scores are good enough to get into a Tier One law school. Would it be worth it, even though I finished college nearly three years ago? And what's the best way to pay for it?
3 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
>>1023272
if youre paying for it (loans count) its not worth it

if scholarship or free dadbux, do it
>>
>>1023272
Tier one is fine, but you have to commit. The first tier weeds out like crazy, and you will have to pay for a year up front. Also, law school dropout does not look good on a resume.

Also, realistically, the legal profession is nepotistic. Unless you have family in law, you are going to be reliant on the strength of the school's alumni network. Be sure to check the employment numbers from a reputable website.

Also, try asking www.top-law-schools.com/forums/index.php (TLS) for advice. They're good with reality checks and can give you a better idea about what you're getting into.

98% of participants are lunch-box toting, window-licking retards contributing nothing but "how to $5 into one billion?" or "why not bitcoin?" threads, 1% are actually trying to self-inprove, and the top 1% come to fuel their genuinely justified sense of superiority.

Any Total Stock Market index fund will work. Want true equity diversification? Just buy the whole market and your done. Comes in various domestic and international flavors too.

biz noob here, I am working on a smartphone app which is almost done just back-end coding is remaining so app will be in beta phase in next month. I am completely clueless about how to deal with business opportunities and shit. I didn't register my company yet and still looking for a co-founder. This app is completely new concept though, it something related to media and ecommerce.

>>1023243

build audience (create blogs/blog)
promote app
sell app for 60% off
contact revieweres and tech people giving them free access to the app
contact tech or otherwise relevant blogs to ask if they can post about your app
after 2-3 months set price to 100% (promotion now over faggots)

that's sort of how i would do it. always helps to know exactly where your target audience hangs out on the internet, and use whatever attracts them most to pimp out your app to them. for instance if i made adult entertainment apps i would make use of popular memes and shit. even if its corny.

>>1023246

Is it a retarded idea to join a programming/computer club in search of project partners?

I'm currently working on some programming projects. Some are already complete and generate some income, while others are still work in progress.
Some are rather big, and I would need to team up with a partner to finish them.

Also, what's the best place to find partners for casual projects?

What is "value creation", and why are businesses which "create more value" usually more profitable?

What are some examples of low value creation and high value creation businesses? Why is it sometimes said that manufacturing usually creates more value than services?
10 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
A service is something temporary which in best cases makes something work or helps something. A creation is timeless or more permanent than a service because you can store it physically, a service however can't be stored.
A creation can be multiplied or accumulated, whereas a service can't be accumulated also you don't usually need multiple services for something to work, so quantity wise it is constant let's say 1, creation like metal pipe can be accumulated and one pipe is not going to make it alone you need multiples of that pipe to create the system, the plumber could be the one providing the service of making that system. If done well there is only need for a one time service order, the pipes however have higher quantity always in every home.
Stupid question to be honest, don't know how much more I can explain this, it gives me a headache.

That depends on who you're talking to
>Classical Capitalist
Value is created through the use of capital to purchase goods, land in the form of natural resources, and labor to produce commodities to be consumed within the economy. Note that none of those requisites were considered commodities in this system, because without them coming together and being used for commodity production they were all without any value. To them the biggest enemy to the economy was the wealthy land owners who controlled capital flows and could charge "tolls" whenever industrialists needed access to something they controlled. This really pissed them off because to them they provided no value to the economic process, but got a slice of the profits anyway. There was a weird time when industrialists really wanted the government to step in and take over huge swathes of land so that they could build mines and factories without having aristocrats fucking them over at every turn.
>Marxist
Really similar to the classical capitalists, except that they believed that both the industrialists and the landed elite were receiving things that they did not work for, and that the only one really being exploited was the workers who provided labor. In this case all value came from the productivity of the workers who actually created products, but they received only a portion of what they earned. They still believed that industry was the only real value creating mechanism within a society and all impediments must be removed so that industry could expand to the size demanded of it.
>Austrian
Seems similar to Capitalists, but removed the distinction between land owner and industrialist. This is a pretty key distinction because after that they could say that the guy who owns land produces as much value as the guy who runs a factory, and maybe even more because he could make more profits.

Why did silver get to ~$50 an ounce?

Massive surge in demand for gold in China around 2012-2013. Where gold goes, silver follows.

The price of almost all investments experience bubbles every now and again, it's basically just how to get to the right price, and despite bubbles looking the same each and every time, people still prop them up unquestioningly because despite all the investment theory, a great many people are absolutely lead by emotions.

Just look at all the pictures of traders with their faces in their hands every time we get a recession, it's a total cliché now but it's simply human nature.

I understand bubbles and demand's effect on price, but why was demand so high?
Nothing was really going on in 2011 right?

Mark Karpeles is not a fucking "bitcoin CEO". Bitcoin has no CEO as it's not even a company. Hell, it's not even an organization. It's an idea.

hey biz, I'm 21 and I want to start saving money. What kind of saving method would you recommend if I want to one day live off the interest of my savings. I've looked into some savings accounts with ~1% interest rates, but I'm wondering what else is out there

nice joke, well executed

I have some contacts in China who run a few different factories (eye glasses, water filtration, lights, CCTV systems, probably more), and should be in a prime position to buy stuff in bulk and sell for a decent profit in the west.

I guess my question is, where would be a good place to start? An ebay store, or my own website? How do you break into a market, approach small stores or head offices of retail giants with product samples?

Pretty much the only thing I know is that these companies don't have exclusive contracts already with my country (Australia), so I should be good to go.

Pic related, I'd like to make a few of these.

Another question would be: What part of the chain is easiest? Being a wholesaler/middle man, or end retailer?

Since the products would be in the thousand(s) per order, I'd much prefer to wholesale.
>>
1. Drop ship. Don't hold stock, don't management fulfillment

2. For everything you sell, ensure it is under a brand that you own and control.

3. Sell to all nations on earth, Australia is a small market.

4. Get a UPC for all your products (universal product code).

5. Sell through Amazon.
>>
>>1023019
How do you actually dropship without just giving your money away to chinks that are selling their products for near wholesale prices themselves?
