Should I pay off my student loan debt or invest my money and pay the minimum?
Looking at the gains I could have had investing last year instead of paying loans seriously sucks.
The interest rate is 6.55%
>Looking at the gains I could have had investing last year
wtf are you talking about
i got lucky timing the market and my return is at like 12%
if i had to give 6.55% of that to the banks... jesus christ id rather firebomb their building and have no gains at all
>>1247778
So you're saying I should just pay off the debt because its not worth the possible risk?
I could have made 30% but yeah I'll just pay it off in two months and look forward to investing then.
>>1247812
you could have also lost 30% on whatever /biz/ tier garbage youre referring to
you could have gone to vegas and put it all on black too but you didnt

Am I doing ok from your standards? I make around 35k/yr and I have no debt. I do have a lot of money saved up as well. I am 23 years old as well.
>>1247691
How much saved?
Also
>35k per year
Homie im 23 aswell and have $70,000 saved, my own boat, my own car, around $3000 worth of gold jewelry, and a bunch of misc items like couches and shit.
Also I make 62K a year.
Stay poor peasent!!
>>1247691
Had 145k when i turned 21 so your gotta step your game up and save some money nigga.
Making almost 40k and just turned 19. Ur falling behind
I have absolutely no credit. 23 years old and I'm tired of being a piece of shit.
I finally have a decent paying job enough to move out the problem is I have no credit.
How do I establish credit? What are the best steps to getting a high score?
i was in the exact same boat as you
get your parents to add you as an authorized user on one of their credit cards, then apply for the card you actually want as soon as their card shows up on your credit karma
thats what worked for me
>>1247658
>I have absolutely no credit. 23 years old
i'm 36 and i don't have any either.
i have savings and investments i don't get the hype about this credit thing.
Why shouldn't we nationalise the nation's banks?
>Eliminate massive CEO pay that goes straight to offshore accounts, keep that money in the system
>Government overwatch stops risky investing (IE Bad Mortgages) from happening again
The only downside I can think of is that the bankers wont go quietly and have lots of power. Your position?
Yeah because government systems are so efficient. Banking would essentially be like a trip to the DMV
ATMs would have 3 hour TSA line for security.

Why are people, specifically lower class Americans stupid enough to fall for MLM schemes like Premerica, and how do they compare to companies such as ACN and Herbalife.

>I'm making 6 figures income!

If you Youtube search "Premerica Scam" you'll literally get nothing but scripted "testimonials" and "reviews" on Premerica disguised as click bait such as >"Is Premerica a scam?!?!". Not to mention a extensive shitty flame-war against redpilled people debating legitimacy against possibly brainwashed reps or actual Premericca shils.
Discuss.

>>1247596
It really is kinda cultish, everyone is wearing business attire, giving forced smiles and chanting while a paid motivational speaker yells "lets make some money!!!"
I had a friend who used to sell those video phones for ACN.

Not if you want to learn about business though
How should I decide who my business should bank with, /biz/?
roll a 20 sided die.
>>1247232
What kind of business?
Essentially I'm going to tell you to bank at a small local bank that makes all of it's decisions through a board that meets every Monday or something. If you're looking for a loan, this is a great place to start if you can impress a group of old business men.
If you are looking for online functionality or something like that, go to a big bank.
I use USBank, BMOHarris, and a little dinky bank in my hometown that you've never heard of. USBank and BMO won't give me shit for credit, while I have over a million borrowed from the local bank.
USBank charges me a ton of fees, BMO is very fee friendly ... that's all I got.
>>1247245
Shop
We will likely be looking for a loan as we want a physical property of some sort, what advantages would small/local banks have?
And I'm not sure if there are any around here
Recently finished the book The 100 Year Marathon about China. Long story short, in 1949 Mao wanted China to become the preeminent world super power by 2049. My post has less to do with the book, but more of the Eastern mindset.
In the West, business seeks gratification quarterly. Politically we elect four year term presidents hoping the country will change. Many Chinese officials do 10,20,30 year plans to globally dominate industries.
Westerners need to recognize the Eastern way. You won't be rich over night. It'll take years of hard work, saving, and reinvesting dividends. Lastly, it'll be easy to consume in the present (think buying a luxury item) but delayed gratification will lead to a higher principal to let compound interest do its magic. Good luck
>>1247224
Shut up you stupid chink.
This is a stupid line of thinking that has been around as long as your dumb book. Western businesses indeed have long term outlooks and visions and don't live in a quarter to quarter mindset like your malnourished brain believes.
In short, take your little red book and shove it sideways up your ass.
>>1247228
It was written by an American CIA consultant. I'm white.
What do I do /biz/? Where do I go from here?
To put it in perspective, just to make back my capital, I'd need a stock that goes up at least 239 percent. And I'd have to have all my money in it.
Get on the $MGT train
Could you mow your neighbor's lawn for $20? You'd be like 8% back right there.

Accept your loss and move on
Say you're already talented at selling, cultivating, or manufacturing weed but you do not live in a legal US market but would consider moving to a legal market.
Out of all the legal markets, I think the best market to do business in would be Washington (WA).
Main Reasons:
1) Shorter residency requirement. 6 months versus up to 2 years in Colorado.
2) Most lax laws on THC concentrates (liquid THC, edibles, dabs, drinks, etc).
WA allows them for medical and recreational.
Just seems that there are fewer market barriers to entry in WA...
Dispensary: You only sell weed. You don't grow or turn it into products (like weed brownies).
Cultivator: You only grow weed and sell it to dispensaries or manufacturers.
Manufacturer: You turn weed into products (weed brownies, dabs, drinks, candies, etc) and sell it to dispensaries.
NOTE: You are not allowed to manufacture and own your own dispensary to sell the product.
How would you make the move from out of state?
What do if could do?
I assume you would need at least 20k saved up for rent alone.
Rent ain't free.
Or is it?
How would one secure funding?
Wall street?
Crypto currencies?
THE DAO?
I'd probably get a bunch of small loans from family and friends.
Are there crowdfunding sites for stuff like this?

So I recently decided to just not show up for work for the past week and I went in because I got a call and my employer wanted to talk about it. Apparently everything has been filed under job abandonment. How will this affect me? Keep in mind that this was a shit tier sign flipping job.
Doesn't matter in the least. Don't ask for a reference, but it wasn't real experience anyway. I actually have references from jobs I've walked out on. People are people. Make them like you, and put your two weeks in next time.
>>1247022
So this doesn't in anyway affect my credit or anything like that?
>>1247047
Nah.
As the first post said, just sweep it under the rug and pretend you never worked there. If a potential employer does an in-depth background check, they'll see that you worked there, but most don't since those cost more money than the run-of-the-mill ones. But worse comes to worse and they get an expensive one, they just won't hire you. No biggie...just move on to the next interview.
I no-showed a white collar office job once. Just couldn't take it anymore that Monday morning and decided not to go. Got hired somewhere else in a similar position three weeks later. Obviously, I used good employers as a reference and not the one I no showed at.

I recently won $1 million from the Mega Millions lottery.
Wat do?
>>1247002
buy bitcoin.
more seriously: if you don't invest this money it'll be gone before you know it. This million could be your ticket to never being a wage slave again. You can either invest it in shit like Walmart and Coca-Cola and big pharma and reap the dividends for the rest of your life, or you can get into real estate, renting or flipping properties.
