Question:

Hiring my first employee. The payroll company says I need to give them the "state withholding" information and "DOL unemployment" info.

The fuck are they talking about? How do I get this shit.

I live in Georgia.

Hey guys.
Anyone know of good part time jobs?
Like maybe 2 days a week.
Under the table would be great, but honestly I don't care.
Most places either want 28hr/week or 40+.
I really want 16 to 20 hours. Over two days.

Is putting that you were a raid leader in world of Warcraft on a resume a meme? People tell me they did that to show they have leading experience and stuff.

its pragmatic - its cheaper to supply it to everyone than our system and it leads to better patient outcomes, not to mention sick people can't be productive members of society. You watch a lot of fox news OP?

I was saying that line is stupid.

Calling basic healthcare a privilege is stupid.

Do any of you scan receipts?

Is there a good workflow that exists besides dumb-scanning every paper and tagging it?

I've tried the following and it seems like everything has its drawbacks:
> Evernote + ReceiptMate
> OneReceipt
> Receipts by Wave
> ScanSnap

why would you scan them tho?

Just to keep records + to balance credit cards/checkbooks. I'd rather have a permanent digital copy than the papers.
>>
Been thinking of doing that for my record keeping but haven't bothered yet.

Wendy’s (WEN) said that self-service ordering kiosks will be made available across its 6,000-plus restaurants in the second half of the year as minimum wage hikes and a tight labor market push up wages

>Guess what, you "servers/waiters" and "bartenders" are next.

Not likely, they'll just keep paying them $2.50 and subsidize with tips up to $15 like they do now.
>>
How do people there?
What if I want to pay with cash?
>>
>>1243004

I for one, applaud Wendy's.

Grew up in japan as an army brat... always liked the efficiency of payment machines in restaurants.

Most of the time, you just want to sit down, get your food, eat while you text/surf and leave.

No need to make tedious small talk with an annoying waiter that you have to tip.

I'm not OP, but it's the usual high risk/high reward thing that /biz/ users shill. Too complicated to explain in a single post here. Read up on it on the site. Raised $50 million so far, so it's the second-highest crowdfunding campaign ever. Doesn't mean it'll succeed though.

There is no contact information, and your name is stupid.

How are people supposed to call you back if you don't give them a phone number Name Name?
>>
First of all, are you networking with the companies you apply for? Your resume is definitely not going to grab any attention bro. And your only real shot at even getting an interview is if you know somebody somewhere that has never seen it. I hope you're pretty fucking excellent at microsoft excel if youre going to mention it 3 times. A skills and interests section only means you lack experience that you would otherwise state. Unless your GPA is absolute garbage, someone reading your resume is going to assume that it is if you dont put it on there. Find a list of action verbs and start every line on your resume with one of those. If youre looking for a finance role put a hell of a lot more emphasis on items that are related to that. Last, nobody gives a shit if youre proficient in social media, so is my grandmother.
>>
>>1226679
Also I'm guessing that if you are graduating in 2018 youre a sophomore. Don't stress getting an internship this year anon, most are reserved for juniors or older in the first place. Focus on getting involved in something you can put on your resume in the meantime. join a professional organization or study abroad or find a part time job this summer. do anything thats gonna fill all the white space you have in your resume

i read the sticky but still unsure if this is where to post this. im 19 and looking to make around 7k a month to fund for future schooling at the local university since taking loans isn't an option for me. my part time job sucks but it's all I have right now. suggestions that aren't along the lines of becoming a stripper or something of the sort would be nice. thanks.

>ooking to make around 7k a month to fund for future schooling

ONLY $7k/month?

Pffft that's easy, just start an online business or daytrade ethereum!
You might make a lot more than $7k/month though.

What school requires $84,000/year to attend?
>>
>>1247250
Dude why would you bother going to school if you made 7k/mo? That's a healthy six figure income you could easily use to springboard any self funded venture while still putting money away for retirement.

7k/mo take home is easily 120k annual gross salary.

I have two debit cards I use a lot.

1) has 1% cash back

2) has round up savings on every purchase, with a 10% savings bonus up to $500/year on all rounded up amounts. So if I spend $3.50, they round up to $4, move 0.50 into savings + free $0.05 bonus.

Whats the best strategy to decide which card would give me the most benefit when making purchases?

After this summer I will have for the first time in my life(I grew up very poor) between 10k and 15k. My question is, how do I make the best of it? I completely intend to make it more than what it will be. Should I focus on my lifestyle(homeless, could buy a van with some of the money) or put all of it into investments or business venture?

I need some solid tips on how to not fuck this up, I have an 8th grade education but I catch on to things fast so don't be afraid to throw some complexity at me.

Buy something you can live in, if you are homeless you need some security.

Stay off of /biz/ and dont considering """investing""" your money.

Get some security, continue working hard and get yourself out of poverty, you will only do it by hard work and smsrt decisions, asking on /biz/ an chinese cartoon picture forum is not a wise move.
