Anyone on here part of a business oriented fraternity like Alpha Kappa Psi or Delta Sigma Pi?
Curious to see if it's worth joining up- what kind of activities are you doing and is it helpful?
>>1247457

My buddy was president but ended up in an entry level wagecuck anyways. It was too cultish for me.
Is a passive income stream considered the same as a pension? if I want to live abroad and they have a retirement visa where you need 1500 a month pension would my passive income be a substitute for that. I have no pension.
No it is not. Nice anime girl by the way.
>>1247378
so what do i do if i want a visa
>>1247386
Fuck if I know. All I know is that the government has strict definitions of what a pension is. Talk to a real investment manager, see if some sort of annuity would work.
>nothing likable or special about me

When theres 7 billion people on this planet, not as many as special snowflakes as they want to believe. I'm doing fairly well financially and I just chill with my friends from college that live in my area.
I don't try to act like a faggot who made it and I'll gladly say I'm happier than a lot that do.
>>1247300
Why is it that the people who say this type of edgy shit usually the ones who are quite poor?
>>1247335
I'm pretty sure even rich people say this, these rich people that do more than just hoard money
Starting an MBA in the fall, currently working in IT, though I have a (gulp) humanities background.
What should I read to prepare?
I've been going through some accounting/finance/economics textbooks and outlines, but I think I'm not qualified to determine what's actually useful.
Any suggestions?
Also, general MBA advice would be much appreciated.

It'll give you the overview of equity investing. Greenblatt explains basic financial ratios. Little Book of Economics. Little Books of Everything.

I run a facebook community page and pretend to be a girl. I have a pretty good following.
I'm wondering how can I turn my facebook presence into a money maker?
>>1247174
Set up a gofundme page and ask for donations. Say you need money to pay for a boob job.
>>1247174
Why the fuck did you started pretending you're a girl on Fb if it wasn't for financial profit in the first place?!
>>1248728
It was always about financial profit, I just haven't bothered to exploit it yet.
Is there anything that feels better than buying the S&P 500?

Ever lie about having a degree or certain qualifications when interviewed? Howd it go?
I lied and said I had friends. He believed me.
>>1247045
When I was job hunting after graduating, it was very common for employers to ask me to complete a brief exam before they began the actual Q/A regarding my resume.
For each position, the exam was always full of questions related to the job description posted by the firm
There is a reason why employers require you to have a minimal set of qualifications.
Lying on your resume is just asking for trouble
I said I had extensive experience in Excel. I hadn't.
All I do is copy the previous month's Excel sheets, change a few numbers around and change the headers. No biggie. The pivot tables, formulas and all that good stuff updates itself. Easy stuff.
If I have a few hundred thousand dollars and want to invest it hands off and have professionals invest and manage it for me with mostly capital preservation and a little bit for speculation, who would be the best way to go about this? JPMorgan? My bank's wealth management division? What's the best way to avoid getting Jewed?
Learning about markets, researching investments, and playing with numbers doesn't interest me and I find it boring, and I'd rather leave it up to someone who knows what they're doing and dedicate my time and energy to other pursuits.

Do you think any "serious" banking professional has played cryptos?
>>1247040
You bet.
I bought into the dao, and I'd like to invest more into it because I really like the idea.
But I have an important question:
First, I value liquidity over everything like the insecure beta I am. And 100 dao tokens are worth 1.0 ether now, and they will be worth 1.5 at the release.
Supposedly there will be an option to "burn" your dao tokens for ether at any point.
HOW do I do this? I want to convert all of my eth in dao tokens, then get out (or at least some of it) before the dao launches to have more ether in the end
I'd do it right now, but I just CAN'T figure out how to convert dao tokens into ether back. Read the site and everything.
Thanks,
t. Ethercuck
>>1246830
Just found out you can't sell tokens before the launch. After that you will be able to send it to exchanges like poloniex and exchange it there.
Still, I'd like to know how to "burn" my tokens, as in pic related
>>1246856
alright, found that one out, too:
create a private proposal that only you vote on. This will result in a private DAO that allows you to send your Ether back to yourself. Easy as that.
I hope this blog / thread will be of help for everyone wanting to know how to safely shortsell this garbage.
But really, began to like the idea more and more, as I did my research : in fact I decided not to get out in 15 days, but hold.

Hi biz. I will get 50000 dollars or 35 million chilean pesos after a family property is sold. I would like some ideas on how to invest it.
About me.
I dont like high risk. I suck at investing on stocks or such things
10000 dollars a year is enough to live in Chile. And enough for mw for the first years.
I just had a daughter.
Im finishing my merchante marine officer degree. But since having a baby i dont like the idea of being away so much.
What would you do?
Kill self
>>1246806

>>1246833

Does any business/politics publication come even close to matching this? If so, which ones?
Please no memes like Breitbart and Salon, thanks.
>>1246461
Dunno but stay away from Business Insider
>>1246472
Business Insider is weird. Like 70% of it is Buzzfeed level clickbait but 30% of the time they actually have pretty decent reporting. I don't understand. And a bunch of people on the street do seem to regard is semi-highly (though not on the level of WSJ/Bloomberg/Economist). So idk what to think about them.
>>1246461
I read FT everyday. Got a suscription too.
I am from Europe though
When is the next crash coming so I can start dumping money in the stock market?
>>1246343
Before the next US election is extremely likely.
>>1246708
More like the FED will prop it until King Nigger steps down, Dolan gets elected and then blamed for it.
>>1246722
Historically, major crashes happen just before an election.
What's good videos, podcasts, books, etc. that are motivational or give good advice about career, self-improvement, discipline, etc.
I'm a freelance web developer and I'm looking for stuff like that but it's mostly all bullshitty- wondering if there's quality stuff out there
The only good one I found:
>"Fuck motivation, what you need is discipline"
