I'm seriously curious. If Walmart fucked up big time, like, did something so godawful that everyone just bailed on it, would it die or just get "Too Big to Fail" status?

We need replicators or their equivalent.
>>

There were huge nation-spanning stores before Walmart that Walmark out-competed. As the market changes and new technology developes new players will come in and take shares of the market. Walmart might be around for a long time still, but they've only been around for about 50 years. These things can change fast. Crony capitalism and inept politicians meddling with the market mechanics can muck the whole process up, but change is inevitable.

A mere PR scandal will probably not do much. People don't trust the media anymore, it would have to be something that endangered or defrauded their customers in a very serious way-

Still missing:

1. A GUI (in Browser for example) for voting, proposing, etc.

2. A way to buy and sell dao tokens at a broker.

3. Some pages with statistics about who owns how many tokens, voting results, dao ether balance etc. (maybe integrated into the GUI)

4. An android/ios app with notifications about voting etc.

5. A forum only token holders can use where proposals can be discussed (people who hold more tokens should be displayed further up).

If these things arent created relatively soon most people will not be able to use the dao tokens they purchased efficiently.

What do you think about yobit prerelease?
>>
>>1247890
Was dangerous to the reputation of lisk but I think it turned out OK.

Because yobit was basically trading nothing, people started associating that with LISK, even though the lisk dev team made a statement saying they didn't approve of IOU trading.

In the end it gave LISK more coverage which is really good for the future of the coin.

Given that the ECB wants to
>abolish cash money
>force high inflation rates
>force negative interest rates
what should I do with my money?

I don't want to waste it on stupid shit. Any investments that allow me to at least keep my money without it being taken away by the banks or eaten by inflation?

I figured that real estate is going to shit as well. So maybe commodities? Shares? Someting else?

Will gaining an understanding of the fundamentals of Economics help me to make more money and be more successful in general in life?

I feel like I simply don't understand the system in which we live and powerless to make money in whatever I do. I just don't know what action to take to improve myself economically.

Do all succesful businessmen and entrepreneurs have a natural understanding of economics? Is that why they are able to succeed whilst others fail?

Whenever I hear economics discussed on TV in business news etc, I don't understand what they are talking about. I don't understand how interest rates are affected, the housing market, the stock market is an alien language to me, taxation. And the fundamentals of building a profitable business

I just struggle to take it all in, probably because I've never been taught any of that stuff

I am incredibly lazy, but I also am pretty good at not spending money.

What are some easy changes people can make to their lives that can SAVE them money without costing any effort. So not this "making your own soap" nonsense. I mean stuff like not getting a landline and just getting Skype or Whatsapp or whatever. Torrenting all your movies. Eating Pasta. Stuff like that.

It's becoming apparent that we're on the verge of a catastrophic economic collapse. Between the risk of European bank failures, the Chinese credit crisis, and bad indicators pouring out of the US economy, this will be a global phenomenon. I've extensively researched this topic and I'm willing to explain what's going on for anybody who's been wondering.

Would love to hear your thoughts on whether this collapse will be inflationary or deflationary.

As i said in the other thread, i have a lot of wealth, and i'm struggling to plan for both inflation/deflation.

Which do you think is more likely, and why?
>>
What would be the immediate effects for the average person? And also, how would the US government handle it?
>>
Basically to summarize what's happening:

The recovery over the last 6 years has been build not on organix economic growth, but by cheap credit both on the central banking side and from consumers via cheap retail loans and lines of credit. Right now, securitized consumer debt is 40% higher than it was in 2008, with many financial institutions carrying high levels of exposure to instruments based on subprime car and home loans.

The 4.5 trillion dollars pumped into the economy during QE 1-4 is claimed to have caused almost no inflation, which is an outright lie borne out by the fact that the consumer price index is calculated in a way that doesn't properly measure the consumer's exposure to inflation( can explain this more). This is important because for exery gdp calculation, there is always term for inflation, since 10% growth with 10% inflation is really GDP growth of 0%. This means that, by using an inaccurate measure of inflation, the Fed was able to inflate GDP numbers for the last several years.

not before oct 3.

in any case, i would not advice any American to keep their money in the bank.
take it out, yesterday,
and buy necessities for at least 6 months.

if nothing has happened till Halloween, well, you can start trusting in dollar again.
