Tell me biz what are you striving to achieve?
What exactly is that?
I get a rush from making money, I am good at bussniess one of the few things im good at, and well money = freedom.
I want to be rich enough I can put it into the arts.
Shit, meng, these days, I don't know.
I just went through a layoff and moved to my would-be retirement home out of the clusterfuck that is California. But, after a few months, things got really pointless. I started going to the bar more often, sleeping late, and being a general lump. So I've found a job and will be starting work again soon.
Next few years, I'll probably keep living small, pay some loans off, get a few more rentals, that'll keep my busy for awhile. But, nothing inspires me, there's no grand plan anymore. There was a time that I wanted to get a place of my own down in Mexico somewhere, but unless I'm moving down there for good, I've realized it's better to rent a place. Vacation homes are just a liability.
So, there you have it.

I just lost 12k playing roulette and just found out i might get fired. Wat do now?
I'm desperate
gamble the rest and hope you win this time
will you are lucky anon since i can predict the future
this what gonna happen:
1- you will still be in shock for couple of hours
2- you will blame yourself
3- then you gonna start blaming others for not stopping you
4-become angry with the world and blaming those "casinos"
5- you start coming with exuses for your loss
6- then you will start to realize how you fucked yourself royally
7- after that the sadness hit hard and you start to cry
8- cry yourself to sleep while realizing you fucked your entire life over
How would you invest and grow $5 million into $50 million over the next 30 years without deducting any money for expenses.
Which asset classes would you invest in, which sectors and which regions in the world and which asset managers would you work with in order to ensure up to 1000% or more growth in the next half century?
50 years? You could achieve the same gains in 2 months.
>TrumpCoin
Youve got 30 years to play with, dont people usually just ride gentrification schemes?
Buy lots of real estate.
I wouldn't fuck with stocks or index funds if I had 5 million to invest.

How do I make it look like I'm not a loser?
Get useful skills as fast as possible, especially if you skipped these while you were busy working on that degree.
>How do I make it look like I'm not a loser?
But not caring about meaningless shit like this.

What exactly do you mean by useful skills? You mean like service-skills? Or do you mean things like webdesign and java-code?
Does having a "good" name effect your career or business opportunities?
I can't imagine John Smith stands out very much.
On the other hand, DeAngelo Shabazz stands out for all the wrong reasons.
Pic slightly related. James Bond was originally supposed to be a bland name for a bland hero, but the character changed and the name now sounds smooth instead of flat.
Change to Heebie Kikeburger and watch the money roll in.
>>1286109
>Does having a "good" name effect your career or business opportunities?
Yes. People remember "good" names first when hiring for a job, or looking for a contractor or shit like that.
A good name reflects your upbringing, and increasing the chance of you being a trustworthy person.
>>1286136
Yes, that's why swindler love to take "good names".
Christophe Rocancourt renamed himself Rockefeller, De Laurentiis, etc. to inspire trust and defraud a ton of rich people. They believed him in spite of his bad manners, mediocre English skills, thug tattoos, etc.

I'd like to get inside the heads of different demographics.
If I'm going to be a copywriter, I need to know who I'm selling to. The what is immaterial, it could be anything, but it needs to chime with their emotional needs.
I'm particularly interested in white collar women. Doctors, dentists, etc, in the 25-35 age range. Young women are big spenders and professionals are big earners. Seems like it could be a goldmine if I can understand their dreams - not necessarily the kind of dreams they would say out loud, since I know how to write between the lines.
What are some resources I could use for this kind of demographic research? Are there statistics that could tell me the demographics of different films books, or types of music? What's your own experience in this area, /biz/?
I tried posting this on /r9k/, but the board moves way faster than the people there can think.

Was Ether's Loss Bitcoin's Gain? Traders Wonder After Wild Week

Answer me this /biz/
Why is Bitcoin controlled by the Chinese? Why are so few Europeans and Americans not interested? Bitcoin's price fluctuations are 99% dependent on the Chinese exchanges. The recent surge can be attributed to Chinese fleeing the yuan. Most miners are Chinese. They control it. What does this even mean for Bitcoin's future?

Is it legal to loan money as an individual?
>Contractual security
>Interest
>Late Fees
I want to do this as an independent for small sums like 2k and let collections handle any issues

Just do P2P lending but you'll get raped on taxes.
Yes it's doable to loan someone money and write up a contract for the loan.
>>1289257 wait explain this tax rape
>took out 19,000 in interest free student loans (excluding fees) during undergrad
>was living with parents so didn't need any of it
>put it into a growth hedgefund with bank making an average of 20% return a year
Why doesn't everyone from my country do this? Is there a risk I do not foresee?
The loan is interest free and is paid off by deducting a small amount of my pay once I get a job. I can drag it out for over a decade to further take advantage of inflation.
Thoughts?
>>1288989
>Is there a risk I do not foresee?
The risk that the fund goes down. Nothing consistently returns 20% a year with no risk. Also, you're not going to be able to invest in most hedge funds with only $19k. Minimum investment amounts are often $100k or more. Plus they often have restrictions on withdrawals so you might not be able to get out if shit starts going bad.
