Is their ANYONE at all in this board that is actually wealthy and successful and that can prove it, and not just a NEET, a manchild or a teenager?
>>1289747
I don't think so, I mean a wealthy successful person wouldn't browse 4chan. Also NEETfag reporting in.
>>1289756
What makes you think a successful person doesn't find browsing this website entertaining?
I have a friend who made close to $400,000 by selling his business, and he browses this website pretty much.

How much does eBay take out in fees these days? Thinking about starting up myself but keep hearing about horrible fees and that by the end of your sale after dealing fees, taxes, and shipping you only make roughly 61.5% of what you sold the item for.
I am a total /biz/ illiterate and I want to learn how to invest. I am still young so I wouldn't mind going for a more risky way to make money.
It is not a lot, but I actually have 4,000$C I can invest. Would stocks be the best option ?
I can put a lot of time/effort to learn.
Thanks !
>>1289601
Well I would suggest that you become biz literate before dumping money, unless you play it cool and buy into a mutual fund or something.
>>1289603
A mutual fund is when people like me put their money in a pool so professional can invest it in stocks, right ?
>>1289601
With the way Trumpcoin is going at the moment, you should put at least 300$C into that. With the marketing videos and massive buyer support; it's feasible that it will be $0.05 by the end of the week.
It is currently trading at just above $0.02 so buy now and sell at the end of the week to 2.5x your money.
Not sure if this is the correct place to post this, but I was wondering what you guys might think because it has to do with education which translates into how you are going to make money.
I just finished my first year of college with a 3.8 GPA majoring in accounting. I know the first year is generally a lot easier, but I was wondering if college has been dumbed down for diversity quotas and to bring in people with low IQ for the sake of equality. I know things will get harder when I go around to getting my CPA. Oh and what do y'all think about choosing the accounting root. I am doing a summer course on accounting and am almost done and like it so far even if it is boring to some. Thanks
Another thing I wanted to add to was this. Am I the only person that is taking college seriously? Most people just seem to do the bare minimum and are completely disinterested. Lots of my classes are 1/3 full during the normal classes and for the final the room is generally packed.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grade_inflation
College hasn't been dumbed down for diversity so much as it has been commercialised. American universities will pass a student that should fail because otherwise that student will simply pickup and move to another college, taking their tuition fees with them. Normie middle of the roads students like you get pushed up to higher GPS and now we've got a saturation of people getting 3.5+
Checkout GPA converters like http://www.foreigncredits.com/Resources/GPA-Calculator/
Where you can see that students getting Cs (GPA2)in Australia and Europe (places with strong public universities) would be getting As/HDs in America. These places have also had a broadening and diversification of their students yet didn't have the grade inflation.
>Another thing I wanted to add to was this. Am I the only person that is taking college seriously?
Yes, it should be another place to continue adolescence and have a laugh.
>>1289517
Are you at a very good school? If not, then yeah most people are probably just trying to graduate so they can try to find a job in an office as soon as they can once they graduate. They probably don't enjoy what they're doing, but think it's the most practical thing they could do.
Doesn't mean there aren't others who are interested, but honestly if you're in your first year, there's probably a few students who know pretty much all of what is currently being taught, because they have an interest in the area.
But again, yes most people don't actually care to learn about anything in college (maybe they do, but getting a good grade trumps everything, and the two don't always correlate)
I recently hired an employee that I don't really like. They passed the interview well, but upon working with them, personality wise they are just kinda a fag.
The new employee has done adequate work, shows up on time, but has never really wowed me.
Is not liking someones' personality grounds for firing them?
>>1289401
My guess is you can get away with it, as long as you're not a dick when they file for unemployment.
Sadly, no. You'll have to come up with another reason to avoid any hiccups he may cause afterwards.
You might grow to like them.
Or just cut their hours till he or she quits.
Why shouldn't I 49% DICE ROLL 10% of my income?
Save up a few thousand $.
Play roulette, watch until there's 4 of 1 color in a row.
Place a $1 bet on the opposite color.
If you lose, double or nothing total earnings on the same color
repeat.
Extremely low chance to lose all your money.
Enjoy being rich I guess. Best way to gamble.

im going to start a debt-acquirement agency
anyone with experience ?
need to find seller but google isnt much help
where can i find sellers that are affordable
how much should i expect to spend
Self bump
Heh, sounds like someone watched the most recent episode of last week tonight with john oliver. Think for yourself and find your own business idea instead of preying off the poor/indebted pls
>>1289308
I think this isn't as easy as it sounds. It sounds like one of those things like pawn shops, that are a huge hassle to start in the US (I'm assuming that's where you're from since I've never heard of debt-acquirement agencies in Europe). Maybe you can start out buying and selling a bit on the secondary market before throwing money at a market you know very little about. Or you can buy contracts from existing shops and just get into the collection side of it. Trying to do everything at once as a complete novice seems like a certain road to failure imho.

I use mobills. Nice, simple and keeps track of your balance without asking your bank info
>implying the Fed isnt waiting to raise interest rates to avoid bursting the bubble until Trump becomes president, as Obama, a democrat, nominated Yellen to become Chairwoman, thus tarnishing Trump's image
Thatd be obvious and backfire.

Rate hike is in September, though

We won't begin feeling the effects of the rise until a few months after they've begun again.

So whats to stop me from buying a dividend stock the day before it pays out and selling it the next day for free money?
>>1289045
Absolutely nothing. But the value of the stock goes down the exact amount of the dividend on the Ex Dividend date.
well of the dividend is like 0.30$ per share what guarantees do you have that the next day the stock value will be the exact same? As the other guy said, they're most likely to drop just because the dividend has been paid so recently
>>1289049
If this is always true then you can sell a naked call and buy a put on the ex dividend day and profit off a high dividend paying stock
Op, there's a strategy to profit off of this with optiona but you need alot of capital. I calculated if I wanted to do it with Phillip Morris, I'd have to put up about 8500 to make about 40 dollars after taxes and fees assuming all went well. This amounts to a 171% annualized return, however, it is inherently as you're putting up alot of money to make very little but in a very short period of time.
