>>1505296
They're not real quotes, just internet garbage.
I have 14k in the bank
How do I make that into 100k?
I've been looking into Forex trading but was told it's a waste of time unless you have at least 30-50k starting budget
>>1504973
Please don't get into forex... just put that into your IRA or something.

Are work-from-home jobs a scam?
>>1504909
>Just found /biz/
I work from home 2-3 weeks a month and 1 week a month in the office. So its quite amazing and I love it, the only issue is it can get quite lonely, you might be gone for so long and only communication/meetings will be remotely while you're on the phone conference that part of it sucks, but other than that working from home is amazing.
No. Support.com remote service tech job is legit, I've been working for them for a couple months and have gotten all of my paychecks no problem. 10.25 an hour to tell people how to connect their ishits to the Internet. Pretty nice desu.
no, plenty of legit ways, like crypto trading and stock trading.. but you gonna know how to play the markets
winners only
Is this a good book or a successful meme?
I found it very entertaining. /biz/will probably hate it tho. Its too mainstream for the edgelords
>>1504894
Great book. The podcast is pretty cool too.
>>1504958
Thier voices are irritating. I did like the blog tho
have any of you fags ever worked at the post office? there is a opening at my local office for a PSE Mail processing clerk (basically sorting mail the best I can tell) the hours and days vary it says on the listing.....just curious how your experience was

Read Bukowski's book Post Office
>>1504808
I don't have time to really read a book...the job closes in a few days

ive always thought being a mialman would be a cool chill job for once my house is paid off and I have enough money socked away. I'm guessing it's probably going the way of the dinosaurs though :/
member when Ethereum was gonna be the world computer?
>>1504784
oooooooh I 'member
>>1504784
member when you thought Ethereum could do way more than it will ever be able to do?
When I bought it, I was thinking of running programs that would integrate easily with the real world. Like a company would send and receive ethereum and a program would handle all of the accounting and tax stuff involved.
>>1504821
That can still happen!
Keep the dream alive!

What does this tell you?
(Note, it's for a small indy weeaboo shop in the UK)
>>1504779
The asset position is bad. If it suddenly needed to liquidate assets to pay a bill or some shit it would struggle to do it. It clearly has liabilities far in excess of its assets (such as cash, receivables, fixed assets, etc).
It's probably not doing very well and is something you shouldn't invest in
>>1504779
It tells me basically nothing- those are 4 numbers with literally no context to put them in.
>>1504787
For context, I'm not involved with this business (but I do dislike the owner for personal reasons). I stumbled across duedil and found that you can pull this kind of info on a business for nothing, which I found surprising. I don't get the business lingo tho, which I why I'm here.
I understand what an asset is (and I *think* in this case it means their current assets are worth less now than what they paid for originally). I don't get the term "liabilities" though. Is that things like rent on the building, debts owed to other parties, that kind of thing? So higher number is worse?
>>1504802
This is the state of a certain business in the UK as of June 2016. (the date of the last annual returns sent to Companies House)
Especially when working from home?
>>1504744
I like it, just have to remember to go outside or change up the atmosphere a little bit. I sit in a gchat with my buddies all day so don't really get lonely.
>>1504744
Keep the office seperate. Like not your bedroom or tv room
>>1504744
Heh.
I came very close to going at home/remote with my current job. I was concerned about pic related. Ultimately I decided the risk of being a weird shut in was worth the coziness.
Then I came into work the other day to a surprise promotion that will keep me in the office. So much for being a gross fucking shut in.
Some shit I was looking forward to:
>adding a second computer for shitposting and day trading during work
>working in a slav-ish sweatsuit
>having a beer cooler in my office
>watching my neighbors with binoculars all day
Fuck I'm starting to wish I didn't accept that new fucking job
>be me
>NEET, just lost job, ran out of savings 2 months ago
>credit cards are maxed out
>Apply for loans but they all require scanned paystub from this month
can i just scan an old pay stub and edit the values/date in photoshop? what are the safeguards loan companies have against this? what would happen if i were caught?
please help me boys.
>>1504724
Wow you really are fucked, huh? Probably should get a job boyo.
help me boys. i have to pay my rent in 3 days
>>1504741
Bruh, just get a job.
There is a process the lessor has to go through to evict you.
Even though you haven't paid your rent, they won't kick you out for a bit.
I would just get a job asap and then try to get enough money before you get kicked out to get another place.
I have $100 on my bank account.
I want to invest in stocks and ETFs.
Is there a fucking way to do it!!!??? I am sick and tired trying to figure out. Most of the online brokers don't even accept deposits less than $200.
Common advice is to start investing from $10k. Fuck you. That's a fortune in a third world shithole. But I want to start investing NOW, following the advice from "The richest man in Babylon".
>>1504716
Invest that $100 into yourself
It's useless in any equities. 15% p/a returns are amazing. And yet that's only $15 in your case.

i seriously dont want you guys to miss out, buy ethereum now or pretty damn soon before the price doubles. admittedly, I have a lot of eth. I truly believe it is the future of crypto. it takes the heart and soul of bitcoin and creates a whole platform where people can program secure apps/contracts. its the evolution to our society. right now its cheap as fuck and its still super early in ETH's story. Vitalik wants to make block times down to 3seconds. this is going to be a secure as fuck (as long as sound code) and efficient.
bitcoin is going through a ton of issues and I forsee a probably fork in their platform (but competition is a good thing). bitcoin is just a currency, ethereum is a currency PLUS a programming language. just feel real strongly about this I wanted to help you guys out

How do the no deposit sign up bonuses work in online casinos?
There has to be a catch? Or I can just sign up, get the bonus, play a few hands and walk away with free money?
>>1504542
You have to "play through" the bonus before you can withdraw. Usually 3x but It's different for every site. Ex: if they give you $100 bonus you'd have to make the equivalent of $300 in bets playing table games like roulette or BJ, and if you play poker you'd have to generate $300 worth of rake for them before you can cash out
>>1504542
>There has to be a catch?
There is one. It's rigged and they do this to draw you in.
>>1504556
Does that mean if you're good at poker you can get free money?
I've heard most of the people who play low-stakes online poker are terrible at the game.
I don't know if you've been following the US election, but there has been a new batch of DNC leaks that dropped two days ago, which /pol/ has been looking at for the past day.
In it, there is a folder called CNBC with a spreadsheet of stocks the DNC has info on, and a portfolio that seems to be generated with metastock.
We're not too sure what, exactly this points to, but it seems like the DNC is engaging in insider trading.
We need your help in figuring out anything else that could be seen with a professional eye.
Wikileaks tweet about the entire dump:

>it seems like the DNC is engaging in insider trading.
Why do you think that?
>>1504649
You're on /biz/ and you seriously don't suspect how one of the major parties in the US can make money on the stock market.
>Pass legislature that benefits companies you own stock in
>Know what regulations are going to pass that will fuck over companies so you can short those stocks
>Award companies contracts that you happen to own stock in
>???
>Profit
>>1504943
Obviously they can.
I'm asking why you think they are. That would be a very embarrassing and very illegal thing to be caught doing, so there's no point in making the accusation without evidence. A list of stocks is not evidence of illegal insider trading.
