I know very little about loans that aren't student loans.

So, some background:
I need the money for a entrepreneurial project I'm working on. I don't want to get into specifics, but I know it's a brilliant idea for an invention that I was amazed had not been invented already. I spent a year researching it in case it was unfeasible, but I crunched the data and made a blueprint and it's 99% certain to make me a millionaire if I make it soon. The only way it doesn't pan out is if someone beats me to the punch.

Back to loans: I am almost certain that you cannot get a loan to make a prototype. So can I get a loan for such a thing? If I get an auto loan I presume I have to spend it on a car, right? (I'm 28 years old and still have my first car, I paid $18,000 up front when I was 22 because I didn't want to pay interest. So no loans.)

TL;DR what kind of loan can I get (if any)?

I'm inclined to take a wild guess and say that you were raised being repeatedly told about the overwhelming importance of getting into a good college (preferably Ivy), making strong connections, and getting a good job afterwards, but weren't often told to consider what exactly do you want to do in life or who you should be?

Don't ask to see the manager, just ask if they have any jobs going currently. Be prepared to think about why you want to work for the company and what value you can add to it. If it's a cleaning business I'd probably want to hire people in relatively good shape with a strong back, though i do realise most cleaners are old ladies/men.
