So essentially what you are saying is that people want nice things but those who have a ton of money and no time just go after what is popularly known as nice, assuming that it will actually be nice. Companies like Lois Vuitton exploit that niche.

It must be a pain in the ass to be rich and have to wade through high price-tag shit to find actual nice things. Like imagine if you want to get into really good wine, nice cars, or something similar, but don't know anything about it. You are either extremely careful, or you frequently get assed and feel like a tool.

And I think truly rich people do care when they waste 500 on something. I don't spend four dollars on a bottle of water at the airport even though four dollars is nothing to me. The feeling of being assed hurts far more than any monetary loss, and I think I would feel the same even if I was a millionaire.

I knew a lazy exec who pulled 850k AUD a year who was sacked after two years because he was shit. I know a managing director pulling >1m who probably works a 70 hour work week which is insane. I know a GM pulling 400-500k who works a solid 60 to 80 hour work week. My father personally pulled 350 working 80 a week, but now takes 250 for a 55 hour work week. Another GM pulls upwards of 400 who works ~75 a week.

Pay is not relative to hours worked, but future pay is. Depends if you like the company culture, and how much money you are ok with the company making off you. If you let the company ship you overseas and work an 80 hour week, you can get to general management safely. I don't get the wageslaves agenda, but each to their own...
