How do I quit the two things most stopping my success?
I can't stop arguing or debating idiots and I can't stop going on 4chan...
I really want to use my spare time more productively to actually earn more or build skills but instead a spend a large portion on this website. How do I stop?
As for the arguing, every time I hear people say stupid things I can't fight the urge to not correct them or engage in debate. I know there's almost no chance I'll change their mind, in fact likely even make them more opposed. But I still can't stop.
How do I learn to not care about what people think and get along with them better, even if I disagree with them entirely? Just nod and agree with anything they say? "Feel them out" to agree and amplify what they believe in?
What is the most diplomatic approach to these problems?

Go on a media fast.
Do not read the news or visit news websites or ESPECIALLY /pol/. It is a complete waste of time to care about things that are out of your control.
Focus on spending your time only on activities that will benefit YOU in the long term, be it financially or otherwise.
>>1728994
I don't follow any news or go on /pol/ though.

wouldnt you buy low sell high?
I have been working off the books in China for the past two years, and I have roughly $100K in RMB saved up in classic "mattress bank" style.
I want to bring it back home, but I want to avoid paying taxes on it. It's illegal to travel with more than €10,000 in cash for exactly this reason. I also want to pay off a relative's mortgage, so I need a way to make it appear to have been taxed.
The RMB's going up, so I suppose the sensible thing would be to sit on it for another year, but I have specific plans for this money, so I won't be waiting that long.
Any ideas? I'll probably pick up a few eye wateringly expensive watches and antiques in Hong Kong just to spread out my risks a bit, but I mainly want to stay liquid.
Bit coin fucking retard
>>1728781
I'm considering putting in a thousand or two just as an experiment, but that doesn't solve the mortgage question.

Anyone know if real estate broker's typically require prior/related experience when hiring agents?

>>1728433
Agent here. Absolutely none. You're interviewing the broker, they don't interview you.
Depends on the firm, city and what type of broker you wanna be... residential or commercial?
Residential, not at all go take a class and sit for the test after you pass you will get an annoying amount of emails and calls inviting you to come in.
Commercial, a little harder to much harder depending on the shop and the city, but if you go out sit for the test and cold call managers and ask for a job I can gaurentee you'll get interviews. As long as your not socially inept and can bullshit and come off hungry and aggressive.

Is intuition a good thing to base investing on?
When Netflix nosedived after they separated the DVD lending service from their streaming, I knew it was something to buy. I would have made a fortune.
I also knew how much potential Bitcoin had when I read about them on a Wired article in about 2012. They were trading for either 5 or 50 dollars each. Can't remember.
I've got another one in mind, but I'm curious what you fags thing about this type of investing. Do you believe one can have a good intuition for this kind of thing?
>>1728147
I'd say it's the only way to be a successful investor, without a large amount of money already
in regards to good intuition a lot of it is seeing the information before it's priced into the market
All of this publicly available info is already baked into the current price of the stock. Or so they say.
If that's true, then what you're really asking is if pure speculation is valid.
Personally, I think if you want to truly gamble, at least be honest that you're doing that and don't sugar coat it by saying that 'you had a feeling'. It tries to add legitimacy to a not so legitimate process.
And ultimately you're lying to yourself only.
Dark forces from the netherworld will contact you with investment and murder ideas you should listen to them

How the fuck do these guys network so well? It not like you can just walk up to some cs student and say "ayyy lmao, wonna build an app boiiiii?"
With that being said, how do I find a tech kid who knows how to code?
>inb4 ideas guy
Yeah, yeah, I've heard it before, but seriously, how is it done?
It's like any interest on earth. like-minds tend to congregate in similar places and throw ideas around, that's kind've the premise of what a nerd is, someone who can sperg out about a single topic for hours on end.
kind've interesting that you're confused how they met at school...school has to be the easiest and least stressful opportunity to approach someone. in classes, its often pretty obvious who the "good students" are, there's extracurricular clubs, social media to connect,
its not as if you'll find the RIGHT person right off the bat, but that can be said of any friend in general. you talk to a lot of people, and from there you'll find a few worth hanging out with, and from there even fewer you would consider "working" with.
it sounds cliche but "putting yourself out there" in the sense of making it known what you're about, what you like, and what you can do will also attract people to you. its not a one way street
there's always that one guy in every class who loves to hear himself talk and basically tries to steal the spotlight even from the professor if possible. public speaking, personal research, focus and a willingness to be shot down will serve you well
>>1728105
>With that being said, how do I find a tech kid who knows how to code?
Being one yourself or being a friend instead of being a louse like you're acting right now.
It's 2017 not 1999, can we finally stop pretending that every "dank app idea" turns viable and gets you sky-high profit? 90% or more struggle for a while and die. There are just too many faggots doing the same shit right now.
It doesn't matter how good you think your idea is, sop fucking hoping that you'll be successful.
>not buying everything on credit on a rewards card and paying it off directly

There is literally NO reason not to use credit cards for everything, as long as you're not a moron and get into debt
I don't know how
