Hyperinflation has made their cash virtually worthless, and they want cold hard Gold in order to migrate to another country. Would it be a good investment to buy 5 houses and wait for things to get better?

>Would it be a good investment to buy 5 houses and wait for things to get better?
kek you expect those houses to remain intact somehow when it all ends and not have squatters with ak47s in them?
>>
>>1750790
Could be a plan but the real fear is that the property will be squatted or even nationalised. You won't make anything on rent. Also, no idea what hurdles the Venezuelan government would put up regarding foreign ownership of land (remembering it's still a socialist system).

I doubt the current group of bandits will last long and a right-wing government will follow soon enough. Could be worth it if it's cheap, but plenty of risk.

Funnily enough, people don't like it when foreigners fuck their local property market when they can't afford a simple dwelling.

Other thread is about to die.

Alright 4chan. It seems we're a pretty impressive bunch. /pol/ gets Trump elected, /b/ gets people to kill themselves. Why doesn't /biz create a new altcoin, shill the hell out of it, and we all walk away with a few extra grand out of it?

I want to put together a team to do it.
I know we're not usually an organized bunch but I'm gonna make the attempt. I have a good amount of project management experience and have worked remotely on a few mobile app developments so lets try and get this shit together,

Reply to this post so I don't have to give you assholes my email yet.

You're limiting your coin to a bunch of poor people who give enough fucks to relate to a Jumbalumban comb-singing forum. Definitely not a winning strategy. No one will buy this shit.

/pol/ didn't get anyone elected. it's just pigeon superstition. /b/ didn't get anyone to kill themselves who weren't gonna do it anyway.

better to have redditcoin as you'd actually get people to buy it

Lets say I:
>Have access to a very good shopify >dropshipping tutorial.
>Have average/slightly above average intelligence.

You're more likely to make money investing in a company like Beyond Meat. The fact that Tyson is investing in them is a sign that there is profit yet to be made. Also, the target demographic for that line of products is getting larger at an explosive rate right now (and has been for the last 2-3 years)
>>
>>1757494

That sounds like a short term profit thing. Should I perhaps make money off of Beyond Meat, and then get out and shove it into something more secure?

So I was on vacation and ended up spending the day with 2 German girls, ages 21 and 22. I liked them at first until they went on about how great socialism is, That you need to take care of the poor, the refugees, any gap between classes is bad, and how stupid Trumps capitalist ideals are.

Holy shit please tell me these girls are an exeption and Germany's youth is not all like this?

>please tell me these girls are an exeption and Germany's youth is not all like this?
most girls are like that. theres a few very smart ones who arent like that and most of the very stupid girls arent like that either but mostly all the middle class girls have that mindset.
>>
OP, Amerifat here.

I neither like socialism nor Trump's capitalistic ways. Trump has a lot of money so he doesn't care how much his steak costs. If the steak cost $1,000, that's fine for him. Now for an Average Joe on a tight budget, a price of a $12 steak meal jumps to $20, it will force him to consider alternatives cause he can afford a $12 meal. Also he can't pay $1,000 for steak like Trump can.

Maybe you ought to learn something for the German women and listen instead of thinking their views are shit. ;)
>>
>>1757479
German guy here. Most people from east Germany say socialism was great. They all had a job before reunion and got so many benefits from the government eg completely free vacation at the baltic sea and great child support. Now everyone is literally poor because you earn nothing in the east of Germany and the government is giving everything to refugees instead to our own people who would desperately need it. You have to see that aspect too before you judge them.

How do I stop being afraid of change? I'm 23 and I'm trying to leave my job as a waiter. I've been working at the restaurant for almost 6 years now and I'm getting sick of it. I found a nice entry lvl office/admin job thats perfect for me but, the thing is I'm kinda scared to go for it.

I've only had jobs where I worked with high school and college kids. All those jobs were easy and chill. I've never really worked with mature adults so trying to act "normal" will seem hard and I feel like if I leave my old job, I will just fuck up the new job.

The requirements for the job are pretty minimal I have some college experience, I know how to use MS office, I have great customer service skills and I'm very organized so, I feel like I would be great for the job.

But the fear is whats fucking with me.

More money would soothe that fear. You could always work at your old job on the weekends.

You already laid out the positives, the only negative is inside your head and the largest obstacle in your way of becoming more. Change is always hard and you just been at one place for so long that you got comfortable but you've already laid out the positives so whats stopping you? Oh yeah, you. Besides, how you gonna fuck those hot bitches being a NEET?

I'm creating this thread to gain basic online feedback on if creating an athletic apparel company is wise.

I've recently retired after serving 16 years in the Canadian Army as an infantry soldier and I'm looking to start up my own small business. Fitness and being in the gym is my passion and I strongly believe that people should have the clothing materials to make them stand out, feel good about themselves and give them great mobility while doing movements. My business plan and concept for this would be to start off small and gradually slowly grow over the years. I believe in quality products especially ones that do well against different weather climates (relating to my military experience). I would promote my business through social media and try to sell my clothing to law enforcement professionals, friends, family and other civilians interested.

What are your thoughts? Thanks.

There are already plenty of companies doing that already. What would make you stand out?

Who would do your designs?
Where would you manufacture?
>>
>>1757190
Yea, I knew there would be a more than a handful of companies out there doing around the same thing. Isn't there room though?

I believe a thing that would make my business stand out (if I started it) would be excellent customer service, community relations and attempting to have a great balance between comfort, mobility and weather/sweat protection on our items.

In terms of designs, I know some friends in clothing/fashion design and there's nothing that money can't do right?

In terms of manufacturer, that would be something to definitely research and look into! Any suggestions?
>>
>>1757183
Everything you're posting is vague. You need to write up a detailed business plan then let us critique it.

Would being a consumer make me more motivated to keep a job?

I'm 23. Graduated with an accounting degree from a meme state college. Still live with my dad. He pays my car insurance, my cell phone, etc. I basically only work a few months at a time then quit once I have enough saved to last me another few months. I just go to temp agencies and take $12-17/hour accounting gigs so I don't have to deal with drug tests, interviews, HR, etc.

Should I get my own cell phone, insurance, possibly finance a new car, etc. In order to motivate me to keep a job? I don't want to be a leech my entire life living with my father but at the same time I have no drive whatsoever to work. I just call out sick if I feel like staying home and smoking weed while playing Madden. I quit when I get a few thousand in the bank and then just stay locked up in my bedroom for months trying to stretch my savings out.

How do I change my lifestyle?

The problem here is your dad is bankrolling your pathetic behaviour, once daddy kicks you out and you actually have responsibility you'd think twice about quitting your job to sit around smoking weed
>>
>>1757110
smoke meth. you will find all the motivation you will ever need.
>>
>>1757110
If you were smart you'd be working crazy overtime and banking everything while your young, single, and daddy pays everything. If you don't change, you'll probably just go through life barely scraping by.

To me that's all the motivation I'd need. Maybe think work towards a more fulfilling job that will keep you from calling in sick and turn into an actual career.

Hello /biz/! I want to become really rich. At least retire before im 40. How can I do this?

I have a shitty job making 43k, will probably get a raise in 6 months, to around 50k-55k.

After taxes, and rent i have like 1200usd to use. Some of it has to go to food, so lets say I can invest 500 each month. How can I become a millionaire in 10 years?
7 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
So your projected figures are 6000 a year for ten years, so 60k in total being drip-fed into whatever investments you have. To me, that doesnt sound "rich". That would allow you to have a couple of modest sabbatical years and at age 42-43 youd be begging for your old job back.

The figures don't add up, my man. Do you seriously spend $700 a month on food? Really? If so, you might want to reevaluate your personal budgeting. You need to either make more or save a LOT more to retire in 10 years.

Let's assume you'll get a couple of promotions in the next decade. Even then you'll need to do something out of the ordinary to become a millionaire. If it was as simple as saving and working a salaried job, everyone would be a millionaire.

Probably the best options are to either start your own business or side-business and corner a lucrative niche, or invest heavily in real estate and hope the bubble doesn't burst, or bust your ass to get as close as possible to vice-president within your existing organization.

>I can invest 500 each month.

For fucks sake. Drug dealing, gambling, prostitution, or a combination of the three. Or invent something the world desperately needs that only you can produce. So unless you're willing to suck 1,000,000 dicks for $10 each, or unless your sperm cures cancer, you're probably going to be very disappointed with yourself at age 40.

500 worth of powerball tickets every month

Go with betterment or a manually managed boglehead style portfolio. Put as much in tax differed as possible.

1/3rd to savings, rest to an index fund monthly. When your savings can reach your insurance deductable or cover a major utility repair then you can start putting more into your index fund.

People are attracted to arbitrary round numbers.
>>
>>1757060
It's not, it's literally some arbitrary number that some rich people ciclejerk about to show off how rich they are
>>
>>1757060
It's not really, it's just a market rally for the anti-regulation candidate, and one of Trumps first acts was (Keystone XL pipeline) seen as a very pro-buisness move. Happens with most republicans acrually. It just so happens that under Trump's presidency that the DOW hit 20k which is just a milestone number.

The market will correct itself soon.

It's just that everyone just got a little too excited, nothing to see here move along fag

I'm going for a first in electronic engineering at my decently technical undergrad uni followed my a masters in either computer science or financial engineering at a top university, hopefully oxbridge, warwick, UCL or one of the top Swiss universities. I'm not sure if I'm better doing a masters in pure finance or maybe economics instead though.

Not sure if this will limit my ceiling or not when trying to get into the really high paying jobs. I really hope I don't get the nerd stigma for being an engineering student.

I'm 6'3, handsome, dress well, confident, an amateur boxer / part time male model, and I didn't have any interest in doing a business / finance degree because it wouldn't stimulate intellectually me at all. There's no doubt that I'm just as greedy and money hungry as any finance / business grad though.

how likely is it for me to move into the top positions in banking? I'm talking 200 -300 k range salary before the age of thirty, I'm 20 now.
>>
>>1757015
What uni are you at?
>>
>>1757015
Im doing a finance master with an economics bachelor and i can tell you a minor in economics is more than enough. Doing an engineering undergrat coupled with an economics minor and then do quantitative finance(econometrics)/financial engineering master and a summer internship at an investment bank/m&a elite boutique with at least 3.5 gpa(absolute minimum) will land you any job if you got the social skills. Start working on a linkedin profile, start reading into investment banking (ibankingfaq and mergersandinquisitions are great places to start reading) and read financial news(bloomberg ft wallstreet journal).

Top jobs sound awesome but i have a friend at lazard and he works 9am to 2am every day and most weeks also the weekend. An early internship will really show you whether you like the ib life.

Also, greed is good, but dont ever show that to people you have your job interviews with. Also dont be arrogant ever. Its true bankers are arrogant but even if you finish summa cum laude with honors from the best schools, with an internship at goldman, the people who interview are smarter than you, because school doesnt teach you shit in the end. Be humble, but not a pussy. Be a little arrogant, but always about third parties.
