Are caterpillars literally and unironically the coolest looking creatures ever?
>So many cool patterns
>Crazy ass colors
>All sorts of forms and styles
>Live the good life, turn into insect angels, and then fuck all the time
Post cool caterpillars!
It's fun watching them evolve into butterflies
Around Gracks, never relax.
Grackles are cunts. They carry their poop around in their mouths and drop it in the worst places.
>>2407491
I don't understand why they're so leisurely. They're the only birds that you can drive nearly inches next to and they won't move out of the way.
>>2407463
Grackles?
I thought they were Crackles..
Reminds me of Garden Snake vs. Garter Snake
So I rescued a 4-5 week old kitten and i've had it for 5 days now. it poops in its litter box but will only piss on blankets or towels, never in the box. Even if the box is directly next to a towel, she will use the towel.
i've made a vet appointment to check for a UTI, but is there anything i could be doing wrong? is this a common thing? i've never raised one so young.
>>2406871
Put the towel in the box.
Sorry dude, this is the same thing rats do, you have a lot of cleaning to do. Try changing the box/color, maybe she doesn't know what it is.
Maybe it needs to be massaged by something soft in order to urinate at this young age?
Usually mother cats lick their reproductive organs to force them to take a poo or take a piss.
Maybe the towel has this texture that let them do this?

/an/ - Animals and Nature
I'm strongly considering gettign a Weimaraner puppy and want to hear you thoughts on how if this is a good breed to own. I've done some research, seems to have a lot of good qualities but some bad (separation anxiety can happen).
background
>love being active, hiking and running, so doggo would get good exercise
>never owned a dog but fiance has owned multiple labrador retrievers and border collies so not too worried about first time learning
>I would ne taking it to professional training classes as well as training it myself on an ongoing basis
I've also been considering a German Shepard, but for some reason really started leaning towards a Weimaraner.
>>2406847
What's your climate like? I think Weimeraner's are like Dobermans in that they can't handle cold weather or rugged terrain because of their short, single-layer coat, and low BF%, but German Shepherds do a lot better.
>>2406856
Phoenix, AZ. Hot as shit.
That's another good point that I forgot to mention. The research on Weimaraners that I did said they have no undercoat and can't handle cold, like you said, so I thought that would be great for Phoenix.
>>2406862
Phoenix? Yeah, definitely go with a short-coat breed.
However, you may be underestimating their exercise needs. Take a look at this ranking. It says the average Weimeraner in the study was exercised 90 minutes a day.
http://www.businessinsider.com/most-energetic-dog-breeds-2016-7/#5-weimaraner-39
Between you and your fiance and maybe a daily visit from a dog-walker able to meet a Weimeraner's daily exercise needs?
Do you have a fenced-in yard with grass (seems like a lot of backyards in Phoenix have rocks)? This isn't a necessity, but will lighten your load for when you're home.
Your dog will also have to be introduced to shoes as a puppy, because Phoenix's pavement is undoubtedly too hot for bare paws the majority of the year.
I'm not saying you can't get a Weimeraner, but Phoenix weather can be brutal, and Weimeraner's are demanding dogs.
Do NOT get a working-line Weimeraner. They will be very, very high-energy. I also don't recommend backyard breeders because they produce low-quality dogs and the industry is kept afloat by buyers that don't know any better. I'd suggest a pet-quality Weimeraner from a reputable show dog breeder. Show dog breeders generally breed for calmness, but not all of their dogs are up to the (often silly) physical standards to compete as a show dog, and so go to family that merely want a pet.

The american cockroach, aka water bug, aka palmetto bug, is the most loathsome species of creature ever to exist on Earth. Anyone who unironically likes these things, if such people even exist, is fucked in the head.

You can't beat feral cats.
I like cats but ferals are leeching assholes that ignore you the moment you stop giving them steak trimmings.

>tfw saw one of these crawling on my roof last night when trying to go to sleep
>Noped the fuck out of there and got a broom to nope it into the trash can
>Smash it into said trash can to make sure it stays there
>tie up trash bag, throw it in big trash bag that was filled, dump big trash bag in big trash can outside
>Walk back into room relieved
>cockroach is skittering around the floor
perfectly fine
Fuck roaches
I'm too broke for a vet so don't fucking suggest to go see one. My dog has a purple bump on the side of his penis and I'm not sure what it is. Have any of you guys experienced this with your dogs? Or know what this is? Please help (Pic related)

Go borrow $50-250 and go to a vet. Looks like something that needs to be drained and cleaned out.
If you're lucky, it'll heal on it's own without going septic.

I don't know what distresses me more, that someone would want to proudly display this, or that there's enough of a market that they can mass produce these stickers.
Why are the majority of dog owners so disgusting?
>>2406020
Because they are meme tier pets. Everyone and their brother has one. You wouldn't see this faggotry with most shrimp owners

Slow, controlled exposure. You're probably afraid of them because you rarely come into contact with them.
You can look at pictures, documentaries and so on. You could try going outside and looking at them. Or you could head over to >>2399967 and ask these guys to give you advice on getting one as a pet, that most certainly works. The people that keep tarantulas often are former arachnophobes.
Discuss anything aquarium related here, including inhabitants, decor and issues.
Google is your friend.
Feel free to ask questions but know that there are a lot of resources out there that could answer your question a lot faster and accurately than /an/.
Make sure to include these things in your post before asking because we can't help you if we don't have the full picture:
-tank size (include dimensions, not just volume)
-parameters (ammonia, nitrate, nitrite, pH, GH, KH)
-any and all inhabitants + how long you've had them
