I'm currently at my in-laws' house, keeping an eye on the house while they're on holiday. It's in quite a remote location

Today I saw about 6 bees in our bathroom. The in-laws said there might be a nest in the walls so if I was unlucky enough to be introduced to them I might have to call a bee-keeper. I opened the bathroom window so they can escape, and then left. About an hour later I put my ear against the bathroom door and heard what must have been an absolute army of bees (actually quite terrifying)

Anywho, Ive called about 6 different bee-keepers. Most of them refused to travel to my location, and the other doesn't work weekends. After some frustration I noticed I couldn't hear anything from the bathroom anymore. I opened the door and saw what must've been about 100 bees dead on the window sill. It was actually quite a chilling sight, like I'm 30 mins into a horror film.

I'm not really sure what to do right now. Bee corpses are piling up in the bathroom and not a single bee-keeper in the region apparently wants to help

Smoke them out and steal the honey.
You might have to set fire to your in-laws house and break open the walls, though.
>>
Any clue as to why they are dead?
>>
>>2410699
Did you close the window again? Why wouldn't they just fly out?

Dog started to do that thing where they jump in the air before they spin around to run off during play, but when he landed from the jump he started yelping. Wouldn't put weight on his back left paw (dragged it on the ground as he limped in circles) before falling down, still crying. Inspected paw for foreign objects, touched and lightly squeezed toes/ankle/leg to see where the pain was, but no reaction and no blood. He got up a moment later and seemed perfectly fine. Jumped in and out of the car, walked back home, played with his wobbler with no apparent issues.

What happened? I was ready to run him to the emergency vet for the 6 seconds he was laying on the ground crying, but now he seems fine.

No, just real ones.

They're still out there. I think they went away for a while but now they're back. Something outside has really peaked their interest.
>>
>>2408833
Did you go out and look? Sometimes you can figure out what they're saying by watching them. Usually it's obvious if they're fighting amongst themselves or raising an alarm about something they don't like.

One time I was going for a walk in the morning and a raven was cawing like crazy. As I walked by it swooped down to a tree just above me, cawed at me, then flew up to a neighbor's roof and squawked like crazy. I looked up at the roof and there was a big old fat raccoon squeezing its fat ass down the chimney pipe. Ah. Told the neighbors they have company upstairs. Thanks, raven. Corvids help us sometimes.

So, we were making a test in the lab to study response in rats to feel fear. As so, the teacher setted up a cage with a starving rat, food and between them a (well-fed) snake. After some tests followed, the snake eventually attacked and wrapped up the test rat(it wasnt meant to be, we just wanted to scare him not kill him). As so, my teacher picked up the snake/rat and, as it was too late to save the rat, induced some anesthesy on him, allegedly because its the "morally correct thing to do".
What do you guys think? For me inducing fear and terror in a rat for an experiment is already way beyond the moraly correct. Was anesthesy the right move?

>>
>>2413309

If it puts him to sleep faster, why the heck not?

Other than that, yeah, it wasnt morally correct for me
>>
>>2413310

By thinking that everytime we stepped on an ant we would have to aplly anesthesy. Just let nature follow its course
>>
>>2413310
OP here im just asking why letting the rat die without anesthesy is horrible and playing Saw with it is ok.

Okay so, i'v lived in West Texas my entire life in a small town in the middle of the desert. I'v seen and bet stung by the scorpions extremely frequently, i got stung recently and it didn't do anything, i'v been stung by several other scorpion's(Different Species) such as the stripe tailed and the hair scorpion that live in the same climate. And none of them do anything to me anymore, did i develope an immunity to them? I think i did, but i'm not sure how many times it takes to be stung to develop an immunity to something.

If i were to guess i think i'v been stung over 100 times, i'm 20 year's old.

OP, i mean i'v been stung by the scorpion the picture but apparently i can't type today. The Arizona Bark Scorpion is the one i'v stung by the most, but the last few times i'v been stung i didn't experience what i had the last time, almost nothing really just slight numbness and tingling, a little pain and then it's sore for the next day.
>>
>>2413264
You don't develop immunity to venom. It either stays the same or you get an allergic reaction and it gets worse each time. Be lucky that hasn't happened to you.

Also most scorpion stings are dry, meaning none to very little venom is actually injected.
>>
i've lived in Arizona my whole life and see scorpians frequently. never been stung, what are you doing to get stung so often?

She's a good ole gal. Love her very much.

update:

The pup is doing well, I've been feeding him soft things lately and I've desparasited him, I took him to the vet yesterday and the vet told me that he is a lot older than what we initially tought, he may be around 45 days old instead of only 2 weeks. He is not on danger anymore and he has been being a LOT more active since we desparacited him. And I'm happy because I have a new member on my family.

I've decided to call him Peluche, what do you guys think? It means stuffed animal in spanish

So yeah /an/, I saved a dog from the streets!

Not OP, but it's this thread.

It's nice to see that he's getting better. Have you tried finding a bitch with pups? I'd definitely keep the little guy when he's old enough, but completely separating them too early can lead to fear of other dogs.
What did the vet say about the stuff above his eye?
>>
>>2412766
