Yes. It just gets exhausting. And if the relationship has been going on for a while, it starts to feel kind of insulting that she can't trust your words or your actions, like you're going to suddenly transform into a cheating scumbag if she lets her guard down for 2 seconds.
I can understand that people have their insecurities and trust issues, but it's definitely a strain on any good relationship. I can't imagine a scenario where this kind of behavior would be a positive trait.

I've only really done hookups so I'm new to this dating shit.
Ever since I met this girl under really random circumstances I can't get her out of my head.
We had our first real date a couple of days ago. We talked for about 5 hours about shitloads of topics, and we had a connection but I'm not sure what kind it was. I could tell she was visibly impressed by me intellectually since I was able to open her mind to a few new things( I know this sounds arrogant but I'm not gonna lie).
However I wasn't able to touch her while in the cafés cause we were sitting opposite each other and not beside.
At the end of the date we were holding hands, but it felt like she just let it be done with her without really reciprocating. Later I held her by the waist and all but she didn't really seem to care at all. As a matter of fact it felt like she didn't really make the effort to be physical. As we went home I said I wanted to see her room, but she said I can't have everything on the first time. A few sentences later she says that just because she isn't together with her ex lover I shouldn't think she'd get together with me. Another major red flag is that she mostly wanted to talk about how a friend of mine viewed her, while hardly asking any things about myself. Normally I'd say she just isn't in to me but then she looks at me with these super flirtatious "fuck me " eyes and casually mentions how she glorified me from the first time she met me and how I should talk to her in my english accent if I wanted to make her wet.
This girl is really fascinating cause she's beautiful, smart and so confident in her appearance and poise but I just can't get smart of her. What she says and what her body does is so contradictory.
I briefly met her on campus the day after but didn't feel like talking to her so I just nodded and left. Later she sent me a text telling me she feels ill and if I feel ill also. I texted her back but she still hasn't responded. What the fuck is up?

I'm 34. I've had stable relationships, twice 5+ years, both guys cheated, so I left.
Right now fertility is slowly saying farewell and I'm afraid I'll never find someone and won't have children. I'm pretty sure I'll regret it forever if I don't have them. So I'm thinking to go to the sperm bank and have one like that. On the other hand I know it fucks kids up not to have a father figure around.
