Opinions on these?
Nice too see Bungie continue with McFarlane, really enjoyed their Halo 3 and Reach figures. If only 343i would work with them.
Since Titans have always been my main I'm going straight for the VoG armour. Can't wait for other raid, banner and trials sets to come out too. Fingers crossed we get some exotics. I've been wanting this to happen since Destiny released.
Looks like Staction bullshit
Complete garbage.

articulation looks the same as their 5 inch figures
Posting this a little bit late (all were opened already and put in my display cabinets), but I got back from Japan about 4 days ago and bought a lot of robots there.

My January haul (so far).
Needless to say it has not been a cheap month, but Christmas money and holy grails go hand in hand.

OP here, I'll start with a dumb one.
I've got £400 leftover from Christmas that's burning a hole in my pocket and I'm looking to buy my first hot toys figure.
I've been looking at the classic predator for a few days, and I'm 99% sure this is what I want. My dilemma is where to buy it from. He can be bought from UK sellers on eBay for £350, or overseas sellers for £225. My question is, is it worth saving £125 and buying from abroad? Like I said, this is my first hot toys so I don't know anything about bootlegs or knock-offs, or which retailers can be trusted.
This is the one I'm thinking of buying:

Can anyone ID this guy? Bottom of his foot says 1987 Bandai.
>>6095684
Just looked through the Sentai and Metal Hero series toys from 1986 - 1988 and couldn't find anything.
I'm interested, hopefully someone leads you to it.

General thread for all things army men, including medieval knights, cowboys and indians, spacemen and everything in between.
Kicking it off with my Russian infantry and their vintage artillery, sometime I'll ask /his/ if they really got so desperate that Napoleonic field guns were pressed into service.
>>6081771
Kind of going on the question asked towards the end of the previous thread, when does a army man purchase get too pricey? I have been looking at this set for some time now on Amazon. It will periodically pop up for sale, around $30, and the stock quantity listed is always 1. This feels like a artificially inflated price.
>>6081814
These guys are currently $40 on Amazon, and I have seen them as high as $70. About six months ago I was able to snag two tubs for $15. Toys R' Us sells them online, and in store. They just happened to be out of stock at the time. So I signed up for their in-stock email alert. Sure I had to wait, but the amount of figures I got for the price was ridiculous.
I'm pretty sure someone was asking about this set in the last thread..
Anyone know of a generic Panda I could use that's about 12cm or 4.5"? Articulated preferred, but otherwise sitting pose, so the height could be less.
I'm trying to set up a cafe but my scales are totally fucked
>>6226691
This could probably be the closest you can get: http://www.amiami.com/top/detail/detail?gcode=FIGURE-022210&page=top%2Fsearch%2Flist%3Fs_keywords%3Dsofubi+panda%24pagemax%3D40%24getcnt%3D0%24pagecnt%3D1
Don't know of any others that're actually toys, but if you check out a Chinatown thrift place you can probably pick up a statue of one.
>>6226710
Yeah, I was thinking of picking that one up, but it's tall and doesn't have knees
I might need to go with a plush or something
who the fuck would think to make a panda with knee articulation?
>>6226720
I think this line has a polar bear as well.

A proper Squeezeplay and Repugnus.
Just got my MP Cheetor and Primal in.
Is there a recommended way for removing Primal's robot mode face plates? It seems to be in there really tight and I don't want to break it.

Where to buy
>GSC Online Shop - some figmas only are available through their online shop
>Amiami - usual place for buying, to some people, shipping is a bit higher due to packaging
>Hobby Link Japan shipping is usual lower, but their prices are a bit higher, private warehaouse is available
>Hobby Search Japan - items stay in stock the longest
>Mandarake - search figma or フィグマ
>eBay/Amazon - only if you hate having too much money. Avoid bootlegs, you can spot them as 'Chinese version'
>http://jungle-scs.co.jp/ - Seems like you can fine some good deals here

The S shape is always good advice though. The basic idea is that straight lines tend to look stiff.

this fucking guy was amazing. Tom Kenny did such a good job.
>>6237023
A hybrid of those two everytime.
UK collectors, where have you bought the majority of your collection from? Retail, or online, and what website/store chain? I'm permanently moving to the UK in about 6 months so I'd like to know if I can continue getting stuff at around US prices.
Haha nope! Why bother moving to cuck capital of the world?
>>6225533
Online, amiami mostly cause I collect "superior Nipponese plastics".
You won't get anything near US prices though.
The US have probably the cheapest prices out of anyone, be it the prices for figures, electronics etc. Yet they still complain often.
Also where in the UK?
>>6225533
UK anon here.
Don't do it, stay in the US. Toy collecting - any hobby in general really, other than getting drunk or dancing with some slag to shitty EDM - is prohibitively expensive here thanks to our money-grubbing Orwellian autocratic government.
Okay so WonFes is coming up meaning we'll get to see a Lucio prototype and maybe, hopefully a release date for Vania or at least see her painted prototype.
In recent news, Emil seems to be falling short on sales. The female option pack was revealed and will come with an unpainted set. New fists were made for male Polys and Daibadi has mentioned the possibility of adding new types of hands for Polynians.
And as always, welcome back everyone and hello to any newcomers. Now then, lets talk about Polys, and other Daibadi works and remember have fun and enjoy you robutts.
