I picked it up for about $280 used in Mandarake, though the it was in great condition. My first experience with SHE was their Perfect Change Shin Getter 1 which I hated because even after tightening the joints the metal ball jointed areas were still really loose. But Gurren Lagann is pretty solid (except for the way Gurren Lagann's neck works which I might need to mod a little bit). I'm glad I got it.

Yeah, mine only had one of the rubber circle things on it... Did yours have two? Because I can't actually put Lagann into the slot he has to go into (because it's a bit loose) without taking out the head connection piece as a whole and doing it and then putting it back in.

Yeah yeah. Mine only had one, too... The ball just falls through easily (it stays in place if Lagann is on, but it can be pushed through easily if he's not attached); I saw a screw to tighten the body underneath the left arm's but I don't know how to reach it :(

So I actually unscrewed the left arm and was able to tighten the upper torso so the head fits on a bit better now. Yaey, I love this robot. He's great.

I know, that's what I'm saying. Originally when I went to Mandarake in Akihabara they just had the drill set and I was like (shit, this is nice but... I need the main robo dude)....

But then I went back there I think two or so days later and... Well, yeah; it was a damn good deal (seriously, even if you shop at Mandarake online if you ever go to Japan I feel like there's lots of stuff they just either take too long to put up online or just never do which can make for some great finds).

Yeah, I check every day for Studio HalfEye stuff and never saw that GL go up.

Yeah, for sure. Japan is a fun place and if you collect figures Mandarake is pretty great. There were definitely other Studio Halfeye figures there, and there were even sections where there were just a bunch of resin kits themselves from other companies.

My only regret is not buying more hentai; it's doable but difficult to order stuff like that through Mandarake living in California.

Studio Halfeye's Perfect Change line. I don't know how many else are in it, but generally this small company just makes resin figures of robots that have some sort of transformation gimmick to them. Then they release resin kit versions and already-built versions of the resin kit (which is what I got). A lot of their stuff can be hard to come by and pretty expensive, especially this Gurren Lagann sadly.

City Hunter is a much welcomed update. Same issues as previous versions though, loose hips right out of the box. Loads of accessories and the new articulation makes for a much better action figure.
Feeling a bit ripped off with K2SO, great figure but no accessories is a joke.
Kylo was a good bargain at £9.99
Forbidden Planet must be clearing TFA stock as they also had Finn and Flametroopers for £4.99, as well as Rey/BB8 and Tie fighter pilots for £15.99.
Decided to pass on Neca Kenner aliens cause knowing my luck I'd get one that breaks right out of the packaging.

These are amazing. I had the same reservations as everyone else at the idea of cloth on 6 inch figures, but they really made it work. At least in this case. The Green Arrow figure doesn't look that great.

Lucky find at the new Forbidden Planet in Newcastle. The paint apps are absolutely perfect, I'm pretty obsessive about paint especially when it comes to eyes, and this is one of the cleanest jobs I've seen from Hasbro.
