I'm about to play godbound pretty soon and I've came up with a character concept that's a mix between witcher's gunther o'dimm and dishonored's outsider.
Unfortunately I have no ideas for this character's background.
So I'm asking you, what would be the backstory of a guy who literally became the devil ?
>>54116049
You could copy the Outsider'a own backstory. He would have, therefore, been kidnapped by a cult of powerful magicians and was turned into a Godbound via a ritual.
Post ur favrote charcter maodle anons

that's a good model but holy shit are you ok?
It was this guy back in the day, alongside metal Archaon on horse and Bretonnian Lord with Great Weapon on steed.
New to Warhammer 40k here.
What is the best way to build up necrons? I got the starter set plus Deathmarks because I had some trouble with Space Wolves the last time I played.
The Knave Urhflufl is always winning S&S with his bloody OP lawyer!!!! Any good manager builds out there? Also, Those Blackguards in your groups scroll I guess…
Tell me about that game that you dreamed about and thought about and maybe even worked on and talked about that never came to be. Tell me about that epic campaign or sandbox world that you envisioned but was never any more than a vision. Tell me about those game-changing rules that never got played. Tell me about the best game that never was.

It was a CCG based on a real-life occult philosophy. There would have been 8 different card colors but no mana, instead each of the colors would have different mechanical effects that were unique to them.
Ultimately, I could never get it working. Too many types to distinguish just to continually end up with a weak MtG knockoff.
Still possible to work just need a game crew. Simply i got a forgotten realms game where theres epic level disciples to every archdevil on the loose with evil organizations pretty much cranking up an apocalypse.

I'm working on a game world where all magical power is derived from left-over monoliths created by the gods. The gods destroyed themselves but left pieces of themselves scatttered around in the form of gigantic monuments that grant specific powers.
Also, magicians can create their own magic system, but every spell is unique and can only be cast once.
Half the population lives above ground in trees or on karst mountains because the ground got turned to tentacle monsters.
Is Scion 2nd edition out? and if so is it any good?
I never got to play first edition but fro what I heard it basically sounded like a cool concept roughly executed.
If the system is too busted to work with, what are some good alternative systems for dealing with godhood and mythical shenanigans, be they in modern day or antiquity?
>Is Scion 2nd edition out?
No. It's being made by "our flagship line got released three years late, and we still haven't released any splatblooks during the year since it came out" Onyx Path.
So Fate Grand Order just released and I just finished Unlimited Blade Works. So needless to say I have the newfound desire to run a Fate table top game.
But what system would you all recommend for making that a reality. I am kind of stumped because unfortunately outside of D&D and Shadow of the Demon Lord I do not have much experience with other systems.
>>54113573
Toilet paper. Because Fate is shit.
>>54113573
Depends on what you want to run
>>54113573
>So Fate Grand Order
What? The anime is like a year old and the game is like 400 years old. I was like level 80 before I stopped playing.
The fuck you smoking, son?
Does anybody have a good scan of the 2.0 rulebook? I've searched but found nothing.
Also if anyone else here plays or is interested in the game, MERCS thread I guess.
'Men and Women of the Imperium, hear the word of your Primarch.
There was a day. It was a day of wolves battering at the door, of cries from inhuman throats and the debasement of all the virtues that brought us from the filthiest caves of the most blighted land, the most inhospitable corner of what we now revere as Terra
There was a day when hope was the pre-occupation of a mad-man, when when the decision to stand and fight was beyond conception, and when all that was left of us was naught but the least of us.
And on that day Man Stood.
I speak of the day before my coming.
I speak of the day before my resurrection.
I speak of out darkest day, when men ground their lives away on the black earth of Cadia, cried bloody murder against the audacity of the green-skins on the doomed world of Armageddon, bellowed the name bastard at an entire galaxy that seemed dead set on our extermination.
This was a lightless age, a hopeless age, and age of howling wind in which the light of a mere candle was the ephemera of fantasy.
And still Man Stood.
Man. Stood. With no knowledge of my coming. No inkling of the reversal of fortunes just beyond the horizon. They fought with the ferocity of men who could upturn the world, when their efforts seemed most hopeless.
>>54111587
Therefore, I make a declaration.
Every man and woman who fought on the soil of Cadia.
Every man and woman who bellowed defiance on Armageddon.
Every man and woman, across the breath of the galaxy, who fired a shot in the name of the Imperium on the day before my resurrection...
They are all Imperial Saints.
This is not some empty proclamation. I mean this in every sense of the title.
The Ecclesiarchy shall enter their names in its scrolls of divinity.
They shall be afforded every due honour.
And though it may take a hundred thousand years, and though they may number in the untold billions, and though they may all be dead by the time their turn comes, all shall have their parade of Ascension on Ophelia, all shall be fully entered into the annals, and all shall be recognized as the fullest devotee of my Father.
Of those who stood and fought on the darkest day, all of them shall be remembered in the manner they deserve.
Because they stood. And by the unthinkable bravery of their standing, it can be said, without reservation, that Man now stands..
I kneel before them.

fuck off Ward
>Oh we don't pay attention to your descriptions or dialogue, it's not important afterall.
I spend hours designing a noncombat encounter filled with intricate spiderweb motifs and themes. Subtely hinting to the true nature of the carnival. They ingore it all because there was not loot and then act like I threw the shapeshifter out of nowhere.
Why are pcs like this?
>>54111355
>I did a thing that my players didn't find fun or interesting
>none of them cared about it
>why do they do this?
Maybe its because they don't have fun the way you do?
>>54111392
>every encounter must be combat
>>54111446
Nigger I'm not the boss of what your players care about.
lmao why is this card a thing?
Because dragon auras
Also ALL HAIL THE SCORNFUL EGOIST.
>>54111105
Ive played against a scornful deck. Long and tall of it is that there were a good fistfull of cards that did x x being equal to converted mana cost of thing you have with highest converted mana cost. Thus scornful was a cheap way to get out a high mana cost creature and some mmm mmmm good syngery
>>54111105
Scourge's gimmick was CMC-matters and thusly a lot of cards cared about flipping over high CMC cards.
This guy solely exists as a common to enable those decks in limited, but you morph him if you draw him and need an emergency body.

I'm developing a space exploration RPG based on Interstellar.
I'm having trouble deciding what skills to include. I wanted originally to have a bunch of scientific research fields as skills, but now I think that would end up being too much, and make the skill tree unbalanced next to the four or five physical skills.
How do I decide which sciences to include?
>>54111063
What 4-5 fields are necessary for exploration?
What if the giants succeeded and conqured the greeks gods?
How would they treat mortals?
Is their enough information for me to just start making shit up?
>>54110996
There would be considerably less intrigue, considerably more direct strong-arm exploitation and about the same amount of rape.
>>54111023
The reason i ask is because i plan on doing a campaign in a Not!greece setting whoch is later revealed to be greece post giant usurpation
When the players find out they have the choice of either betraying the giants and reinstallimg zeus and pals or defending the giants by the new persian army lead by zeus's new son
