Knights that from the look of them you can tell that they have done great things.
Do you like kobolds, /tg/?
I hate to say it, but I think I do.
I hate kobolds and I hate you.
>>54589051
Kobolds can be cool.
>>54589051
I know my group hates the whole Dark Souls franchise on a meme-driven level and as such I rip wholescale, and I mean outright copy-paste, from the series when I DM and no one knows.
Very often I'll be talking with people Monday through Friday about the weekend and getting in a game of something. When people are planning everything out I'm really enthusiastic about it, but when I wake up the day that I'm supposed to go actually play games my motivation usually evaporates. Sometimes I'll go to the store or club and just sorta hang out, and turn down chances to play.
Then I come on /tg/ and bitch about not getting to play enough.
>>54582216
My DM prep work consists of me preparing everything the day before the session.
>>54582216
I've DM'd 4 or 5 different times this last year, and they've all failed because I lose all motivation to continue writing an adventure. It is literally entirely my fault.
Could Melkor at the height of his power (when he's singlehandedly fighting and winning against all of notHeaven) defeat the big four Chaos Gods at the height of their power (when their legions are running rampant in the galaxy)?
>Lucifer analogue
>fights against other angel analogues on a single world
>gets beaten
vs.
>pantheon of gods who regularly do things that Melkor spent his entire life trying to achieve
No contest, Chaos wins.
>>54582293
>fights against other angel analogues on a single world
On a single flat world that composed an entire universe, with the full attention of a providential god
>>54582293
I think if we're strictly talking Melkor when he first came to Arda, then I'd say at least he's equal to any one of the Chaos Gods and possibly stronger.
Remember that the whole concept of him was how corruption and evil weaknes you, and so by the end when he's beaten he's nowhere near what he once was. Whereas when he first arrived in the world he was stronger than all of the other Vala and Ainu combined.
He was literally destroying the world over and over again and cutting apart mountains with the flick of a finger for thousands upon thousands of years and all these others spirits couldn't even stand against him at all.
The Chaos Gods are powerful butbefore the lore got fucked wide openthey had equals among other gods and could be beaten too, especially if we're talking the Fantasy versions who were of lower power.
I'd say it's not unlikely that Melkor could match one CG. Now, beating all four of them, or more counting the other CGs out there from the past? Much harder to say.
What do you think the argument was over?

I have a renaissance era city that covers 150000 square miles of land. It's roughly 500 miles across and 300 miles from north to south. There is however a sea splitting the city in half with a width of about 70 miles, smack bang in the middle of the city. The city joins in the middle via a bridge in which the emperors palace is also built into. I need to justify the city being this big. The setting has magic, and the empire is human, having returned to their homeland in the millions to drive out the elves that took it from them. The city grew to this size over 500 years. There was also a demi-god in charge of the empire at the beginning until she ascended to the astral sea.
It needs to be this big because I fucked up on the map and decided to roll with it, it's been established as being this big for 5 years or so OOC.
Any advice or suggestions?
>>54576457
You're going to need some constant, serious teleportation to keep this colossal city running; as it would literally be impossible to cart food in from the countryside to the inner areas of the city fast enough if you're using real life renaissance era technology; it would spoil before it got there.
As for justification? Maybe the Demi-God who was running it for a while had some sort of ability to inspire/control people but with a limited geographic scope, so tried to mush as much of the empire as possible into an area within radius of her power.

ROOFTOP GARDENS
>>54576535
This. The logistics would be absurd, doubly so with renaissance.
Also fires and plague are going to wreck the place constantly.
Whatever you do, the MegaCity you built needs some Judge Dread style law enforcement.

Rotodrones all the way
>>54570795
I've got a question on this for SR4, actually:
Is that one table in Arsenal really it for take-offs and landings?
Because according to that, a commlink-sized small-drone needs a 2 kilometer fucking landing strip if it isn't a flyer.
Do you think Matt will bring back Tiberius as a wraith to help Vecna in the final fight?
>>54570365
0/10, but a serious answer: No, Orion made it clear in his explanation vid that he isn't on speaking terms with the gang. Matt isn't touching Tiberius again.
>>54570720
What exactly happened? I only watched like the first couple of episodes (And things seemed fine) but not being on speaking terms generally requires some major dick-holery.
The fact that people pretend to care about this shows just how barren this particular market is.

We all know Summoner Wars is the greatest card, area control, euro, dudes on a map, bluffing, negotiation, light party, ultra deep wargame, for gateway purposes.
But what other card/card driven game is your favorite? What cards have the best art out there? Which publisher does the best job making sure they have high quality cards in their games? Linen/matte/glossy? Let's avoid the sleeves/shuffling discussion and talk about the other aspects of little pieces of wax coated paper that we love
Not card related but how is my paint job of the puppet from Specter Ops? Is is passible for a first time painter?
>>54518472
Definitely passable, pic related was one of the first I did, I still think he looks meh at best, but non-painters out in the real world always compliment my SDE set. As long as you avoid the WIP/40k types who do nothing but paint minis all day every day, you're gonna get a lot of appreciation for your work. Lots of people want painted sets but are too scared to do it, you're already one up by buying some acrylic and slapping it on.
What is a good dungeon / D&D / roguelike card or dice game?
I've tried:
> Dungeon Time
horrible gay memory game
> Welcome to the Dungeon
terrible game
>Boss Monster
great theme, blah play
So any other ideas for a dungeon type game that relies on cards or dice (aka roll for the galaxy) but not an RPG? I'm looking for deck or engine building but not so much a board.
Any other suggestions along these lines for a really good game welcome too.
How do you like your spells /tg/?
>Immediate, bombastic, energetic or more subtle?
>More vague and flexible or specific and rules-focused?
>Hermetic and weird or more elemental and functional?
Depends on the setting
I know that is a bit of a meme answer at this point but it is true
Power points/mp/mana point style, components for big stuff, or real easy to get if needed for small stuff.
I prefer a good mix of the two. Most spellcasters fuck off to their towers/temples/groves to do mystical bullshit that seems ineffectual to non-magical folk, but in actuality they are shaping the fabric of reality to their whim. But you best believe in areas where there is constant warfare or dangerous beasts, a mage will know how to conjure volleys of flame out of thine own ass and use force magic to hit a motherfucker with another motherfucker.
