yay blood bowl
Play yer games!
Hello, I'm a complete beginner who recently got Blood Bowl 2. Can I get some tips on chaos? My warriors keep getting injured and my minotaur never does anything, and when he decides to do anything he always rolls skulls. He already killed himself once. Wtf?
How do get the divided states of america?
Which states would be strong, which states would be weak?
>>54573760
The state I'm from would be strong.
The state near my state that I've been raised to dislike would be weak.
Generally coastal states would probably do better, since those are the states that are already doing better but there's a few exceptions.
Even divided, each state would be strong. Each would have its specialty and each would fiercely hold onto its turf. There would be border skirmishes pushing the line couple miles here and there, but on the grand scheme of things, they all stand divide as firmly as they once stood united.
Except for Florida that remains unconquered not by its vigilance but rather through rapid fall into the state of decay both literal and metaphorical that nobody wants to take piece of.

Primer: Black Sun Rising is a /tg/ created setting that takes dark fantasy and horror and ramps it up to eleven. Eight Dark Lords rule over a broken, mutated Earth under the corrupting rays of the maybe-sentient Black Sun. It is a world of mysteries, conflict, but rarely resolution.
The setting is kept intentionally vague to encourage players, GMs, and wargamers to develop it on their own in the direction they desire. The base setting is a springboard into a world of dark adventure.
The dark empire was an underground Industrial civilization. while it still exists today, it is a fraction of the size it once was. Its industrial plants still exist today however, and those that can figure out how to use them make great use of them.
the dark empires crowning achievement in the old world was developing firearms.
>>54573410
Great wheels for grinding rock and giant furnaces for smelting ore with molds for liquid metal to be poured into are among the many empty and quiet corridors of the abandoned empire.
The Dark lord of the mountain sees these as his territory and will violently take over any lost industries that he finds, branding or killing the inhabitants before replacing them with his own servants.

What's everyone bringing to game day and what are expectations of which deck will be dominant at the Pro Tour and in the meta in general?
>almost the entire pro tour is RDW versus something else or another RDW
Since I suspect a ton of people will bring RDW to both the tour and Game Day, as it's cheap and easy, I've tried adjusting my New Perspectives deck a bit.// 60 Maindeck
// 8
5 Forest
1 Island
1 Plains
1 Swamp
// 9 Creature
4 Shefet Monitor
4 Vizier of Tumbling Sands
1 Sphinx of the Final Word
// 9 Enchantment
3 Cast Out
3 New Perspectives
3 Gift of Paradise
// 12 Instant
4 Haze of Pollen
4 Renewed Faith
4 Shadow of the Grave
// 15 Land
3 Sheltered Thicket
2 Fetid Pools
4 Irrigated Farmland
4 Scattered Groves
2 Fortified Village
// 7 Sorcery
2 Razaketh's Rite
4 Traverse the Ulvenwald
1 Approach of the Second Sun
// 15 Sideboard
// 1
SB: 1 Mountain
// 4 Creature
SB: 1 Nimble Obstructionist
SB: 2 Kefnet the Mindful
SB: 1 Angel of Sanctions
// 3 Enchantment
SB: 3 Drake Haven
// 5 Instant
SB: 2 Dispel
SB: 2 Chandra's Defeat
SB: 1 Negate
// 2 Sorcery
SB: 2 Radiant Flames
Opinions on this build?
The Rites help a lot with finding Perspectives when hitting 5 mana to make sure it lands the turn after and the side board is obviously primarily built against RDW with all that removal. Not sure if I'm keeping the angel and the second Kefnet in or to replace them with another Negate and an Essence Scatter.
Most likely some kind of temur emerge or UR control deck. I really liked the deck played by Josh Utter Leyton that was shown on camera for a bit. He played temur emerge with hour of promise. Deep fiend into hour of promise seems pretty sick since it let's you eternalize champion of wits next turn
Do you think WoTC should get rid of/remove cards from the reserved list? Why or why not?
reserved list, as it intended, will not last forever.
>>54557984
Did they say it wasn't permanent?
>>54557941
I believe they should
Right now it only really benefits collectors. It's bad for people wanting to get into formats, it's bad for people holding tournaments for those formats, it's bad for card vendors.
The reasons for it existing was to prevent Magic from dying. I believe Magic is far from dying at this point and it serves no real purpose anymore.

Some of my elves don't even have writing, but record their entire history in songs. Even their personal history, it is the purpose of every male elf to go out there and do badass stuff for the honor of his tribe and to get a song of himself that the tribe will eagerly sing as long as it exists and to not make the memory of him fade away. They come together to have competetions and singing songs about beating up other tribes and fucking their women is their way of insulting each other in a cultured manner.
Humans actually picked that up, but since they write they aren't so obsessed with this.
With slight lyrical modifications (pretty much just changing Northmen to Carskan, English to Lornish, and the proper names), this is a pretty common song in-setting. The story itself is completely real, retelling the story from the War of Carskan Aggression. The author was a relatively renowned Lornish hymnist, composed to give words to the resentment and hunger for retribution that many Lornishmen feel both aboard in the West as well as back home. It's a song which calls the righteous to fight against their oppressors, which projects the inevitability of their revenge upon the Authority and its agents.
Essentially, it's the song of conquered paladins, eagerly striking back at their oppressors when given a chance.

Traveller is a classic science fiction system first released in 1977. In its original release it was a general purpose SF system, but a setting was soon developed called The Third Imperium, based on classic space opera tropes of the 60s, 70s, and 80s, with a slight noir tint.
Though it can support a wide range of game types, the classic campaign involves a group of retired veterans tooling around in a spaceship, taking whatever jobs they can find in a desperate bid to stay in business, a la Firefly or Cowboy Bebop.

What's the Titan Battledress in Traveller5? What is it supposed to be used for?
>>54541686
Titan size is approximately 3 times human size. So titan battledress is normal battledress for really really tall creatures, or a mecha for a human.
so...Vargr?
Pirates and Maruaders, or Humaniti's Best Friend?
How do you prefer 'em, generally, anons?

Hey guys. This is Mr. Blue Sky, lead developer for VeloCITY - The Wind in Your Hair, the Jet Set Radio-inspired /tg/ homebrew system about shredding asphalt and shredding turntables.
As always, you can always find the latest edition of the rules at the game's 1d4chan page at https://1d4chan.org/wiki/VeloCITY.
I apologize for any extended neglect of this game that may be perceived. For what it's worth, my other game - Super Mario RPG - experienced a surprising surge in popularity recently, so you've probably seen me in those threads. That doesn't mean I've forgotten about this game, not by a long shot. In fact, today, I have a new update for you guys.
This update, version 1.4, is a fluff update. Specifically, at the end of the third chapter that describes the default setting of the game, there is now a new list of a long-since-missing portion of the setting: radio stations! In much older threads than this one, it wasn't just city districts or gangs or NPCs getting brewed; it was various radio stations that rudies might listen to on the airwaves. I've taken much of those old ideas I still had access to and provided my own roster of pirate radio stations, podcasts and livestreams your rudie might be interested in. Some are reinterpretations of old ideas, others are new in their entirety.
As always, any questions, feedback, stories, comments and anything else are always welcome. Enjoy!
Great to see things still grinding along.
Keep it up at whatever pace need to.
Been following this labour of love since the earliest threads, and I love to see it fleshed out.
Cheers m8

Sweet. I've had a campaign idea for a while now, but my group has wanted to do other stuff first. Glad it's only getting better while I wait.
Bearded Galaxy Edition:
Warmasters Triumvirate is an attempt at creating yet another 40k AU. The Primarchs have changed, and instead of appointing a single Warmaster upon returning to Terra, the Emperor is critically wounded on Ullanor. In order to make sure the Great Crusade continues, the Warmasters' Triumvirate is put in place. Tensions start running high and this eventually culminates in a civil war between Loyalists, Chaos Traitors and Separatists...

perturabo is a cool dude
Second for da Orks!
Goffs rule, da rest are grots.
Posted last thread, but could you guys give me a hand with refining this before shit hits the fan:
Gameplay:
> Turns happen like they do in LOTR
> You move, I move, you shoot, I shoot sort of thing.
> Stratagems can be used similar to how might is used in LOTR.
> Movement restrictions and cover is based off of Armageddon
Combat:
> Tactically there are different stances like in Armageddon and LOTR that allow units to act in different ways with pros and cons.
> Firing arc and weapons based of of Armageddon too.
When it comes to HQ
> We split HQ into heroes and warlords.
> Only one Warlord can be used per force
> Guys like Chaos lords got split up into "Chaos Lords" and "Champions of Chaos" with one being a hero and the other a Warlord.
> HQ choices get Might Will and Fate like from LOTR
> Personal Stratagems can be played by Warlords at the cost of might.
The next steps are to translate fluff to crunch with new unit rules. Our initial ideas involve making autoguns salvo 1/2 (without the half-range penalty for moving) and keeping lasguns rapid fire for different play styles.
Is there an RPG like 5th edition but with better monsters/challenges?
I hate the monster manual, the monsters stats are so arbitrary and samey.
Also the classes are pretty boring.
>>54615688
Any older edition. Even the travesty of 3e is more likely to be a challenge than 5e.
D&D 4e.
>>54615688
There's always better options than D&D. Just depends on what you mean by "better"?
Like, when you say the monsters are too arbitrary, do you mean you wish that they were built like characters?

I really want to see one but don't think I would do it myself. Not without re watching the series which probably won't happen anytime soon.
I've been playing Brutal Legend and Crypt of the Necrodancer, and now I really want to run some kind of setting where music and magic are literally the same thing.
