What do you do when group problems start bleeding into the real world?
Recently, I told a group of friends that I was going to quit GMing their game because it wasn't fun, it was too draining, etc, and they immediately turned on me, calling me a quitter, and insulting my campaign, insisting it was never any fun at all and I'm a shitty GM. Moreover, I'm roommates with one of them, and he always brings it up whenever I walk out of my room.
I've tried asking him to stop, but the harassment continues.

Totes evil. And that's not even considering that individuals are not aware of what will happen and thus cannot have agreed to a contract. If there a contract and people died knowing and accepting of what would happen, there would be a case for Neutral.

I've gotten about 3/4ths through pic related and it's really quite good, despite being mostly story-telling and exposition. The problem I find with most 40k literature is the characters - always poefaced and stoic, or mustache twirlingly idiotically evil.
This presents a much, much better image of chaos, it makes the main characters seem very human, despite describing in vivid detail the cenobyte tier shit they surround themselves with. Brotherhood is a huge theme, despite the fact everyone is plotting against one another, and it really shows how the CSM's and the Emperors Childen in particular really still long for what they've lost, despite being debased lunatics. And Fabius Bile is a surprisingly charismatic and charmic skeptic and cynic with a fedora that would make the Emperor proud - affable but acerbic, utterly commited to his vision and his science based ideology to a fault, he's probably ironically the truest living figure of the Imperial Truth. Ironic of course because he still hates the Emperor, though he himself acts somewhat much like how I thought the big E himself should.

have you ever tried pulling this off?
I was enforcing a "humans only" policy in all settings for 5 years now, but i want to try breaking the mold and allowing my players something different this time.
I wanted to specificly exclude humans in the setting because no one can be a special snowflake as easily if there is no real standard to differ from.

The race/species is just one vector for characterization among many.
And the snowflake will use any vector available (and sometimes not available) to be extra special.
